💙 Project Blue Tent – Week 5 Blue Waffle F1 – Pheno B (Folder 13B) Hello everyone, and welcome back to another chapter of Project Blue Tent. For anyone discovering these diaries for the first time, this project follows four individual Blue Waffle F1 plants from Zamnesia from seed to harvest. Every plant grows inside the exact same environment, under the same lighting, receives the same nutrition and follows the same schedule. The only variable... The genetics. Watching each phenotype develop its own personality while removing as many environmental variables as possible is exactly what makes this project so fascinating. Today we're checking in with Plant B. 🌱 Week Five – Finding Her Rhythm If last week was about recovery after topping, this week was all about momentum. Plant B responded beautifully to the cut, quickly redirecting her energy into the new leading shoots while the lower branches accelerated their own growth. She's still carrying that compact structure I mentioned previously, but she's beginning to spread out much more naturally now. The canopy is becoming wider, the internodal spacing remains wonderfully tight, and every branch seems determined to compete for the top. One thing that continues to impress me is how symmetrical she is becoming. She almost looks like she planned every branch herself. The stem has thickened considerably over the past week, giving me confidence that she'll comfortably support the heavy flowers later in the grow. 🌡️ Blue Tent Environment Consistency continues to be the biggest priority inside the Blue Tent. This week's average conditions were: • 🌡️ Day Temperature: 30°C • 🌙 Night Temperature: 25°C • 💧 Relative Humidity: 58% • ⚗️ pH: 5.8 • ⚡ EC: 1.92 mS/cm • 💨 CO₂: 450 ppm • 💡 Light Schedule: 18/6 • 💧 Irrigation: 1.2 litres per plant per day Although daytime temperatures climbed slightly this week, the plants continued growing vigorously with no signs of stress, demonstrating just how resilient healthy plants become when the root zone remains stable. 🥥 Feeding & Irrigation One of the biggest differences between this project and my previous organic soil grows is the irrigation strategy. Because coco doesn't store nutrients the same way soil does, the plants are fed little and often rather than receiving larger irrigations every few days. Each plant now receives approximately 1.2 litres of nutrient solution every day through the automatic Mars Hydro drip irrigation system. A drip irrigation system slowly delivers nutrient solution directly onto the growing medium through small emitters positioned at each plant. Rather than watering by hand, every irrigation is delivered evenly and consistently, ensuring every plant receives exactly the same amount. Once the nutrient solution has travelled through the coco, the excess runoff drains away through the automatic drainage system beneath each grow bag. This is just as important as the irrigation itself. Removing runoff prevents old nutrient solution from accumulating around the roots, helping maintain a healthier and more stable root environment while dramatically reducing the daily workload. As someone who has spent years hand-watering plants, I genuinely appreciate how much time this system saves while improving consistency at the same time. The current feeding schedule is: • Plagron Hydro A — 1.9 ml/L • Plagron Hydro B — 1.9 ml/L • Plagron Hydro Roots — 1 ml/L The slight increase from last week continues producing exactly the response I was hoping for, with richer colour and strong, healthy new growth. 🕸️ Preparing the SCROG This week also marked another exciting milestone. The SCROG net officially entered the grow. SCROG stands for Screen Of Green. Rather than allowing each branch to grow vertically on its own, a horizontal net is placed above the canopy. As branches grow through the openings they're gently guided sideways, encouraging the plant to spread across the entire growing area. Instead of producing one dominant cola, the plant develops dozens of equally exposed flowering sites. The result is a flatter canopy, more efficient light distribution and, hopefully, a much larger overall harvest. At this stage the net isn't there to hold flowers. It's there to guide the architecture of the plant. Over the coming weeks I'll continue weaving each branch through the net one square at a time, allowing the canopy to fill naturally before flowering begins. Watching this process unfold is honestly one of my favourite parts of growing. 🌿 Blue Waffle F1 – Plant B Plant B continues living up to the personality she's been developing since the beginning. Calm. Balanced. Methodical. She isn't trying to be the tallest plant in the tent.Instead she's quietly building an incredibly organised structure that should become a fantastic SCROG candidate over the next few weeks. Sometimes the plants that grow the slowest early on end up delivering the biggest surprises later. I'm very curious to see whether she's one of them. 👀 Looking Ahead Next week should be all about training. With the SCROG now installed and both new leaders growing strongly after topping, the real canopy shaping begins. From here onwards the objective changes completely. We're no longer trying to grow taller plants. We're trying to grow wider ones. Every branch will now be guided with one simple goal... To create an even canopy capable of making the absolute most of every photon produced by the Zamnesia Phytonaut LED. Se ha notado una mejoria . Creo que le quedan unas dos semanas por estirar, parece que va a ser una buena cosecha. Se mantiene un buen control del cuarto de cultivo gracias a @marshydro y @trolmaster. Mantengo las dosis de 1/3 de nutrientes recomendados por el fabricante. Potencia del foco 80%

Weekly update on these lovely ladies. This week has been fun to watch the flowers form and swell. They definitely are starting to smell, as soon as you open the tent it hits you like a ton of bricks. I'll be doing my final dedoliation this week taking off some of the bigger fan leafs allowing more light to the lower flower sites. All in all Happy Growing

. 🌱 Tag 21 – Eine Woche voller Experimente Drei Wochen alt. Eigentlich der Zeitpunkt, an dem junge Pflanzen einfach gemütlich wachsen, Wurzeln bilden und jeden Tag ein bisschen größer werden. In unserem Fall wurde daraus allerdings eine kleine Wissenschaftsshow mit mehreren unerwarteten Wendungen. Die Woche begann mit unserer ersten Düngung. Für uns war das Neuland und für unseren Gärtner offenbar auch. Nach vielen Jahren mit organischem Dünger musste er erst lernen, dass mineralische Nährstoffe nicht erst gemütlich auf ihre Freigabe warten, sondern sofort verfügbar sind. Das führte dazu, dass wir etwas früher gefüttert wurden, als es eigentlich nötig gewesen wäre. Zusätzlich gab es noch ein paar weitere Überraschungen: Der pH-Wert lief zeitweise nicht ganz wie geplant. 📦 Statt pH- wurde versehentlich pH+ geliefert. 🔄 Bei der ersten Nährstoffmischung wurden Grow A und Bloom A vertauscht. 🌱 Die Düngung begann etwas früher als optimal. Man könnte sagen, unser Gärtner hat diese Woche sehr viel gelernt. Wir Pflanzen nennen das lieber „praktische Feldforschung“. Zum Glück blieb es bei kleineren Problemen. Zwar waren wir zwischenzeitlich nicht immer ganz begeistert von den Mischungen im Tank, aber insgesamt konnten wir weiter wachsen und neue Blätter bilden. Wirklich dramatisch wurde es nie. Unser Wassertank lief die ganze Woche durchgehend. Da er allerdings mehrfach neu angesetzt wurde, weiß inzwischen niemand mehr so genau, wie viel Wasser wir tatsächlich verbraucht haben. Die Buchhaltung wurde wohl von einer Zimmerpflanze geführt. Folgende Nährstoffe kamen diese Woche zum Einsatz: Bittersalz: 0,5 g/L 🌿 Grow A + B ? Silica ⚡ Multi Total Für die nächste Mischung wird das Bittersalz bereits auf 0,3 g/L reduziert. Wieder etwas dazugelernt. Nicht ganz ohne Zwischenfälle verlief die Woche für Pflanze #2. Bei einer kleinen Pflegeaktion wurde einer ihrer Triebe versehentlich angeknackst. Für einen kurzen Moment sah es so aus, als hätte sie beschlossen, den Dienst zu quittieren. Zum Glück stellte sich der Schaden als weniger schlimm heraus als zunächst befürchtet. Der Trieb blieb erhalten und kämpft sich weiter durch. Pflanzen sind manchmal erstaunlich widerstandsfähig. Während Menschen bei kleinen Verletzungen häufig erst einmal das Internet nach ihren Symptomen durchsuchen, reparieren wir einfach unser Gewebe und wachsen weiter. Trotz aller kleinen Stolpersteine wachsen wir weiterhin ordentlich weiter. Unsere Blätter werden größer, unsere Stämme kräftiger und unter der Erde arbeiten die Wurzeln vermutlich längst an ihrem eigenen Ausbauprojekt. Im Vergleich zur letzten Woche sehen wir inzwischen deutlich erwachsener aus. Noch sind wir jung, aber langsam entwickeln wir uns zu richtigen Pflanzen und nicht mehr nur zu besonders ehrgeizigen Keimlingen. Nächste Woche hoffen wir auf etwas weniger Experimente im Nährstofftank und etwas mehr Routine. Andererseits wäre das Leben als Pflanze vielleicht auch langweilig, wenn immer alles perfekt laufen würde. 🌿 👨‍🌾 Gärtner: Diese Woche lief nicht alles nach Plan, aber dafür habe ich wahrscheinlich mehr gelernt als in den ersten beiden Wochen zusammen. Der größte Unterschied zu meinen bisherigen Grows war der Wechsel von organischem auf mineralischen Dünger. Beim nächsten Durchgang werde ich deutlich später mit der Düngung beginnen, vermutlich erst Ende Woche 3. Die größte Erkenntnis war, wie schnell mineralische Nährstoffe wirken und wie wichtig ein sauber eingestellter pH-Wert ist. Mit organischem Dünger hatte ich viele dieser Effekte nie direkt bemerkt, weil die Nährstoffe deutlich langsamer verfügbar werden. Zusätzlich sorgte eine falsche Lieferung für etwas Chaos. Statt pH- kam zunächst pH+ an, wodurch die Wasseraufbereitung deutlich komplizierter wurde als geplant. Inzwischen ist das Problem aber gelöst und zukünftige Mischungen sollten deutlich entspannter verlaufen. Fehler gehören dazu, besonders wenn man neue Methoden ausprobiert. Wichtig ist am Ende, daraus zu lernen und die Pflanzen genau zu beobachten. Bisher haben sie mir zum Glück alle Fehler teils verziehen. 🌱 p.s. neue LST Haken!

The Pineapple Express was born and continues to grow regularly. It does not stand out for its speed but it will certainly be worthy of remembering the mythological strain.

Day 70 for these Fastbuds beauties Blackberry Auto: With dark purple buds glowing fiercely and a dank smell to match, this girl could make anyone's tent look amazing. During the last few weeks her buds have become incredibly dense and sticky. She is very short and thick in stature compared to the other plants I have in flower. I inspected her trichomes over the weekend and ive determined that she is pretty much ready for harvesr. I expect about 2 oz of high quality flower after dry/cure. Forbidden Runtz Auto I'm really blown away with the turnaround in this girl. She was mutated & so small I almost tossed her out during early veg; I'm glad I changed my mind. She stretched significantly between weeks 4-6 and I really wasn't expecting much from her. In reality, she has blown my mind... incredibly dense and sticky buds have developed in the past 4 weeks. She's got the zkittles smell mixed with a gassy terp profile.. I think the higher humidity through flowering phase really helped develop these dense buds. When I checked her trichomes over the weekend I determined that she will be cut down within the next 7-10 days. Process/ Environment changes: - Lowered my SF4000 roughly 20 cm to increase photon delivery to the canopy - Water/kelp meal only from this point to harvest - My temperature has risen due to change of seasons .. roughly at 27-28 deg C during daytime.. this is why I lowered my lights rather than turning them up - Defoliating any unnecessary fan leaves at every chance I get - I've had to use spools of twist tie to use to keep the branches from falling over from their own weight. I'll tie one end to the top of a branch, and the other to the stock. Not ideal but its working. Cheese auto dry/ cure update: After 10 full days of drying, I gave the buds a decent trim and put them inside glass jars where they will remain for many weeks. I add 2 way Boveda humidity packs to help regulate the relative humidity within the containers. I also use tiny hydrometer pucks to measure the humidity and temperature inside the jars. My ideal cure is at 62% RH

I flushed her ......very very light on the nutes now.... the new growth is green so she'll be alright.... (((patience young grasshopper))))

At the beginning of week 11 they both look strong and healthy to me. Though their buds still seem smaller than the one in the 20l pot. But the look great after all :) So colorful and frosty (the smaller one) and so big and yellow (the taller one). Can't wait to harvest them :D At the middle of week 11 they both still look great and I think I saw the tall one's buds grow a bit again... There was something strange going on at the top of the head bud (of the taller one). There'S a close up picture... I guess it's just a kind of mutation and no seed. I was shocked first when I thought it was a seed...

Going well 4th set of leaves coming through, have 2 Whiteberry going but just reporting on the best one. Nice green colour, stalk is still purple. No nutes added yet, soil is pretty good so I’ll add when required I think. Watering when required, last water was around 3 days ago, turning out to be about once a week

Week 3 – Day 22 (VT22) RedPure#4 was transplanted into a 15L fabric pot this week and received 💧 2.5L of water. She’s showing the first signs of preflower 🌸 and is staying nice and compact – just as expected. Looks like she’s going to turn a beautiful purple 💜 soon! She reacted well to the transplant and shows no signs of stress. The overall light intensity (DLI) was reduced to 27 to keep stress low, but RedPure handled it like a champ 💪. 📅 Looking ahead: 🔹 Watering volume will increase to 4–5L depending on demand. 🔹 Root growth looks promising – they’ve started exploring the new pot. 🔹 Light LST will continue, and I might remove a few bigger leaves 🍃 if needed.

Another week behind us, everything is going well — no drama at all 🙂🌱 Runtz is slowly heading into the final stage, and I’d say she’ll be ready in about one to two weeks 🔥🌸 I have to give credit for the beautiful fruity aroma — every time I open the tent, she’s the one that stands out the most 🍓✨ *** As for Break-Up and Lemon AK, I’ll need to wait about three more weeks for harvest ⏳🌸 Break-Up is looking really good at this stage, I’m very happy with her so far ✨ *** The Lemon AK plants are still going strong with no issues at all 🌿💪 — I’m really curious to see how they’ll finish.

I've just tied down properly and defoliated they responded well to the topping, switched from fish mix to biogrow and added just a touch of bloom also this week today is day 37 roll on next week
