Finishing off the first week of flowering and watching the buds grow :) All strains seem to be happy with with 1L water with 12ml nutes 25/75 veg/bloom each, every other day. Missed the defoliating deadline in veg mode but have done some very light defoliation this week, I should do more I know and will once flowering is a bit more established. A bit more LST, again on the careful side. The next grow will get the full treatment :) Of course things were going too well, a couple of hours ago while I was working on climate stabilization contra running costs (I got my first power bill since grow start) I noticed 100's of very small ants all carrying eggs exiting the base of my Gorilla Glue's airpot. I had been trying to work out why she in general seemed a bit laggy. Now I might have the reason, grabbed the Neem as 1st defense and gave what I could see a good spray. For those that I couldn't see and were probably munching on the root system and tunneling through the medium I added 4 tablespoons of fresh coffee grounds and 6ml of Wood Vinegar (pyroligneous acid) to 1L water and gave the Glue a soaking. This all happened just before lights out so now hopefully by lights on the ants will be gone and the Glue will start to perk up. Yesterday I flipped the switches on the LEDS to include deep and IR light to the spectrum. All in all a good week I think, any tips and advice always welcome :) *Update Gorilla Glue is looking much better 12h after the treatment for the ant infestation. Coffee grounds and wood vinegar, natural, safe, effective and cheap as well. I have Cinnamon as well now, so I'm well prepared for any future ant invasions :)

After 14 days of burying the popped seeds these were the results using the bac germination method, but on a substrate experiment the, interesting results shows that on the 28 seeds, up to 14 days the decimation was ambient factors, nowadays 9 are thriving on light mix unlikely coco coir that damped off way more , i can't say coco is bad as the freebie i received shall be very welcomed if is not as good to germinate , is more gtg to to clone some interesting black roses pheno and the good karma part will be present on the next run, just with prone cuts tried to be converted to side plants. There is a slight chance that there can be more or less plantlings with the course of the weeks as some had grown but didn't drop of the shell . Heat was oven like at some moments and had a negative influence, as i fight 30c at peak hour temperatures trying to keep them fresh with the humidifier at 75% ambient, and 26c average . There is a reduced chance that some plants can still damp off but , i just need 8 as i intend to use 7 or 11lt plastic pots , buts that no reason to treat them bad, the weather is fortituous and i can't control it more , so I MUST STATE, THESE SMALL CREATURES EAT BETTER THAN ME. they will be feeded with biobizz, bac, atami, and top crop, the products i use to keep my hair fabulous. shoutout to tanu mapu because they will be a repeater when i need to provide myself with quality soil.

In the fifth farm we have three residents again, two Haze Berry Automatic and Fat Banana Automatic, both strains from Royal Queen Seeds. 😍 I would like to thank the team from the Royal Queen Seeds who have recognized my efforts in keeping a diary and greatly support me in what I love. 🙏 I always try to make a balance between sativa and indica, since I do creative work, I am a big fan of sativa, although in the evening, when my obligations are over, I like to relax with indica. So this time I planted two Haze Berry Auto that are predominantly sativa and one Fat Banana which is more indica. 😵 WHY HAZE BERRY? Haze Berry Automatic is the sativa-dominant successor to the legendary Haze Berry. Haze Berry Automatic inherited Haze Berry (Blue Dream’s) characteristic high. The sativa-dominant effects ramp up central nervous system activity and engage the mind. However, her flowers only contain a THC content of 13%. While this might seem comparatively low, it’s absolutely ideal for me. This makes it a great strain to use intermittently throughout the day. Haze Berry Automatic can be smoked in-between tasks or during a work break to produce a similar effect as a cup of coffee. Also the humidity dropped so I put on a humidifier for a couple of days. 17/09/2020 The first Haze Berry has sprouted, and I'm still waiting for the second. 19/09/2020 The other Haze Berry didn’t germinate, so I soaked the soil with water again and put the seed back on. I hope it works out this time. This is the first time since I planted that my seed has not germinated. Also the first Haze Berry got a liter of water with regulated p.H at 6.3 23/09/2020 The big day, the second Haze Berry sprouted the first one got watering. As for p.H. values, I always regulate, in my case I lower the value between 6.2 and 6.5. I removed the humidifier. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 26 degrees and 57% humidity. I would like to thank Grow Diaries for making germination week an option. I think that's a great thing. It will be interesting to follow the development of both Haze Berrys since the second one is a week late, but this time I will be photographing and filming just one plant in detail. Moved them out of the small closet into a bigger closet(or wardrobe). Gave them a good foliar spray with organic seaweed extract. Topped two of the highest reaching canopies of the one smallest one that got to grow roots again. Re-potting at day 59; transplanted them into 15l autopots with airdomes on bottom. Soil is 90% Biobizz all-mix and 10% vermicompost. Gave them a good EM shower both for the plants and soil with 10% solution strength. Popped a Boost Buddy CO2 bag, which is now hanging in the grow space. They are in the wardrobe waiting to be transfered to the tent when it becomes available.

D33 - 19/02 Haven’t changed the reservoir this week yet. A few burnt tips on Northern Lights #2, will probably go a little lighter on nutes next feed - she’s definitely more sensitive to them than the other ones. Overall great looking girls and nice growth. The #2’s are higher than the #1’s, nodes developing nicely and the scrog is definitely helping with lateral growth as well. — D35 Mixed a new reservoir with roughly 19L, at around 70% strength. pH 6.0 and EC 1.1 Humidity has risen a bit, so I installed the dehumidifier again. Apparently the tip burning has stopped, or at least slowed, which is good. #1’s are at around 25cm height, while #2’s are around 40cm height. — D36 Did another defoliation session as the girls really needed it. Cleaned a lot of the big fan leaves, airflow and light penetration is way better now. A few hours after and they’re super happy again.

Thought I'd show you guys some root growth. The 3 plants in the video are all gorrila zkittlz.... Non of which look the same or are growing the same way lol. No complaints its just interesting too see such difference characteristics from the same strain. wow what a month. June was down right chilly at night up until almost fathers day. Then we go into this mini drought. The forecast is saying that we are going back to normal hopefully quickly with some more gentle rain.

Day 71.

The substrate maybe got a little hot after the last top feed so won't be adding any more probably this grow! That's my best guess for the mottling on the leaves and crispy ends - as the ends are curling up rather than straight. That's my tip for telling whether it's over- or under-fed or another issue. I'm pH testing every drop she gets (and giving between 6-6.5), so I don't believe it's lockout from a pH issue. She's getting a proper wet-dry cycle. Must be too many nutes. I flushed her yesterday and will continue with straight up water. Hasn't affected overall growth though- the buds are starting to bulk up, trichs continue to show themselves, and the smell 👌👌 it's like honey and citrus. Veeeery excited for this one ;)

Week 12 has started well. The flowers are still growing and the smell is still great :) I applied weekly nutrients on day 1 of week 12. On week 12 day 4 I added Z7 enzyme to my reservoir and I defoliated the girls to bring in more light to the lower canopy. On day 5 I decided to harvest two colas from Pheno 2. It seems to be finishing faster than the other phenos(mostly amber hairs although trichomes are not mature after closer inspection... I want to experience what effect I get from early harvest so to compare to later harvest. From now on I will leave the plants alone until they are all closer to harvest. 😅
