Day 78 Hey growmies, The girls received 2 liters of water with fertilizer and Cal-Mag today. Before that, I defoliated them for the last time – I hope it wasn’t too much, but I wanted to try a more radical approach to hopefully get an even better end result. Unfortunately, some of the Pink Gelato's leaves are showing clear signs of heat stress, but so far she’s still growing well. I hope the terpenes are okay. Day 79 The girls are doing well so far. Unfortunately, the tips of the Pink Gelato are a bit burned, and it's supposed to get even hotter in the next few days. I hope she survives the heat. The other two ladies don’t seem to mind it. The smell and the buds are getting bigger and bigger. The carbon filter is managing to neutralize the strong smell. Now we're heading into the final days of flowering Day 80 Today, the plants received 2 liters of water with fertilizer and Cal-Mag. Unfortunately, it's still too hot. You can see that the Pink Gelato is struggling with the heat. The other two girls are handling it better. I've now set the lamp to 90% and raised it by 10 cm since we're slowly approaching the final stage. Day 82: Today I watered all three plants with 2 liters of water, including nutrients and Cal-Mag. The weather has cooled down a bit, and the ladies are smelling wonderful. I set the light to 100% and raised it slightly. Day 84: Today, the plants were watered with 2 liters of water, along with fertilizer and Cal-Mag. Unfortunately, the Pink Gelato is currently not absorbing any water, so it was not watered. The heat is really affecting it, and I believe mold has developed in and on the soil. I’ve heard that cinnamon can help, so I sprinkled a thin layer of it on the soil. I also set the lamp to 100% and raised it a bit. I think keeping the humidity high to counter the heat wasn’t a good idea — that’s probably what caused the mold to form on the soil.

Week 4 Last week was good gave the last defoliation for day 21. Adding a higher feed for her. She is doing great getting her feeding twice a week and hasn't shown any signs of stress or nutrient lockout ...good strain and smells tasty like fruity sugar or Berries . Did no training to this girl and she has a nice structure to her , great genetics so far with this grow looking forward to next week's growth cheers canna family ..

This one is such a beasts. It keeps growing and it's so bushy. Cutted some leaves to get more airflow because i saw one leaf with mold on another plant. Startet with the "more grams"

Hned začátkem tohoto týdne jsem defolijoval levou a zdá se že jí to donutilo konečně přepnout do květu protože hned druhý den se začaly tvořit paldy takže jede bomby. Včera jsem defolijoval i pravou a to řádně protože už byla prorostlá a chtěl jsem dostat světlo a vzduch k těm vnitřním paldám aby se taky pěkně opriskatily a celkově se jí daří ale doufám že tý pravý jsem toho nevzal moc a snad se zase rozjede bomby, vidím že tam bude hromada dobroty ale nelíbí se mi jak začali po té defolijaci žloutnout blizny a takhle už jí nejspíš nechám až do sklizně. Levou plánuju ještě defolijovat, asi tak za dva dny a zkusím jí zase trochu roztáhnout, dát pod síť a tím snížit protože je o moc vyšší než ta pravá. Držte palce a ať to roste :)

Plants are going into flower. I took night time pics so you can see them sleep. They are a all looking great. This girl and her sister at the moment is 24 inches. Very nice branching on all three plants. I should defoleate and remove some of the bottom branches now.

Buds are swelling up coming up to the final couple of weeks in flower. Will push for another week or two as trichomes are now mostly cloudy. Some of the tops have been pulled out slightly just to try an increase light penetration

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. This is due to light spectrum, temperature, and/or photoperiod changes. Yes, Freakshow will do exceedingly well indoors, and will thrive and mature just fine in a wide variety of natural environments as well, so it's definitely both and I think might even prove to be more resilient to those sorts of transitions. Q. What are the potency and terpenoid levels? A. Average 18-20% THCa, THC; negligible CBD, CBN with terps variable, averaging 2.5-3.5, primarily limonene and pinene, but this is variable, there was a lot of diversity in terp combinations and compositions in all the prior generations, it's just something that was left "as is" for now. The different parallel lines that we are developing can be directed in a few different pathways flavorwise. Q. Why are the seeds white? A. Why is the sky blue? No, the mature seeds are shrouded by a rice paper thin membrane which has coloring and mottling on it, but it's so fragile that it disintegrates in the process of shucking. Stripped of the outer layer the seeds are very pale, nearly white. It came as no surprise that this plant would have abnormal seeds. Q. Is it a GMO? A. Wow...? Well, it's seriously "modified" and the modifications are definitely genetic, and it is an organism. (Genuinely Modified Organically!) Uh, no. No radiation, no recombinant DNA, no gene splicing or editing, no TALEN or CRISPR! These biotechnologies don't belong in the food and medicine plant industries. Q. Is it a big producer? A. Freakshow will produce nice, fat, dense colas (see gallery) with remarkable trichome coverage, and you can expect yields according to your veg. time, root space, and general knowledge and expertise as a gardener. The same set of variables apply to expected outcomes regarding cannabinoid levels and terpene profiles. Q.What is the lineage? A. (Bigbud x Skunk#1) x (Big Sur Holy Weed x Banana Kush). NLD("Sativa") dominant, but the afghanica influence is apparent. I'm pretty sure that Freakshow contains some Trainwreck and some Maui Wowie based on some research I did on the origins of the Pineapple Express. Interestingly Big Sur Holyweed, OG Kush, Banana, Trainwreck, and Maui Wowie are all of unclear origins. We have to remember that these are all just names and that they don't really mean much. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. This week brought excellent weather with temperatures reaching 33°C (91°F) and plenty of sunshine. I've observed nearly 10 cm (4 inches) of vertical growth, with the plant expanding both upwards and outwards. The buds are visibly thickening, and trichome production has become quite evident, creating a beautiful layer of frosty, resinous sugar leaves. The aroma is now more pronounced, although not yet overwhelmingly strong. Overall, the plant appears robust with a sturdy stem measuring slightly over 3 cm (1.2 inches) in diameter. The foliage is a deep, vibrant green, indicating good health. The lateral branches are now also producing buds. I have reduced the fertilization to the standard 5 ml per liter (0.17 fl oz/gal), now exclusively using Terra Bloom. The plants have become noticeably thirstier. Today, they were exposed to rain and absorbed over 0.5 liters (0.13 gallons) of rainwater, with a pH value of 7.46. Low-Stress Training (LST) is no longer being actively applied, it is only being adjusted as needed

Moin 😎, Woche 11 ist vorbei und die Damen gehen so langsam in Rente. Und zumindest die Papaya sieht auch schon so aus. 👻 Ich reduziere jetzt schrittweise die Wasserzufuhr und die Lichtstärke. Hatte bis jetzt so um die 1000 PPFD in der Mitte und 850 an den Rändern und ich gehe zurück bis auf 600 PPFD in den nächsten 10 Tagen. Weiß nicht, ob sie noch viel länger brauchen werden. Trichome sind 70% milchig und 30% klar. Auf den Zuckerblättern schon das eine oder andere Bernsteinfarbene. Ich habe mir einen 150L Weinkühlschrank zugelegt (siehe Video) den versorge ich erstmal provisorisch mit einer Umluft und eventuell schon einer RH gesteuerten Abluft und dann werde ich Buds zum Testen schonmal reinlegen. Ich möchte Next Level Qualität und beim Grow kann ich kaum noch was rausholen. Jetzt muss die Trocknung optimiert werden. Als Tipp kann ich euch schonmal mitgeben, dass ihr am besten beim Trocknen einen VPD von 0.9kPa aufrecht erhaltet. Egal wie die Temperaturen erstmal sind. February 14, 2019 update: I rearranged the plants to get better airflow. In the video I mentioned that I thought I saw what might be spider mites. After closer inspection, I don't think its spider mites but more likely a combination of left over damage from the fungus gnats that came in with my wife's plant a few weeks ago (now gone) as well as ph fluctuations. But I like getting airflow on the plants themselves anyway, I just wish the oscillation worked on the fan I have now. I'll buy a new fan or two with oscillation soon. Also I failed to mention it in the video but there is also a ceiling fan blowing down on the plants. Overall, I'm very happy. The DinaMed CBD+ has taken the lead in the bud development category, Nice fat buds that are very dense. Sticky and stinky as hell too. She is supposed to be somewhere in the teens for CBD percentage and less than 1% THC. I'm hoping she either comes in below 0.3% or has well over 1%. I'm allowed to submit for testing 3 weeks before harvest. I'm going to cut a mid level branch and submit for testing next weekend. My other DinaFem strain, Critical +, is doing great too! She's in the lead with the most trichome development. Her buds are coming along great also! Not super fat, at least not yet, but great shape, color, density and have I mentioned the trichome development yet? 👍 This one is supposed to have mild CBD, low single digits, but high THC. I'm looking forward to smoking this one! Next up I'll talk about my Cream & Cheese CBD+ from Seedsman. She's in the lead with just overall looking awesome!!! The buds are long and super healthy looking with tons of leaves along the branches and I've defoliated a few times. The remaining leaves don't seem to be blocking much because most branches are bent over due to the weight of the buds! She is supposed to be in the 20's with BOTH THC and CBD. I'm looking forward to smoking this one also! 💪 That leaves the 3 Cherry Hemp plants. They are the smallest 3 plants in the room, but are all looking very good as well. They look like they are in the lead with possibly being ready to harvest earliest. I'm seeing the most amount of darkened and curled in hairs on these 3. The largest/oldest of the 3 is starting to show fading on the leaves. She may be ready in the next week or two. I'm waiting to start seeing some amber trichomes, so far they are still all white. These are supposed to be around 16% CBD and less than 0.3% THC. I'll be taking these in for testing soon and will be using these strictly for making CBD products - Salves, Oils, Capsules, etc... I'll keep you posted on this. This week I fed MegaCrop and Cal-Mag Pro (both by Greenleaf Nutrients). I fed according to their feeding schedule for late bloom. I think I'm going to stick with Greenleaf Nutrients for the duration of this grow rather than changing it up as I have been. Its super easy stuff to work with. 👍

Hello. Sweet Seeds sent a privet message a few months ago and said if you want seeds to email and they sent seeds😃. The strains I got were Gorilla Girl 19 to 25% THC - Black Jack 16 to 21% THC and a Cup Winner and Sweet Zenzation. They sent 4 seeds of each. I think that's because we can legally grow 4 plants pre household in Canada. Sweet Zenzation Grape Ape x Zkittlez Indica Dom Height- Med Yield- High 9-10 Weeks THC - 16 to 23% CBD - .2 Effect - Narcotic, relaxing, Stimulating, Talkative Flavor - Candy, Fruity, Sweet It's both relaxing and stress reliving. Yet it also stimulates the imagination and conversation The flowers have a high terpene content. Exquisite aroma and sweet taste. Hints of fruit flavored candies, with hardwood undertones, Hints of lemons, cypress, aromatic peppers I've got new lights that I'm not used to. I hit my head 3 times on the sides of the lights. Man they leave a sore spot. These aren't lite lights. The grow tents are made from cheap material but will do the job. I hope to get a keeper. Chuck.
