🌸 Week 6 Flower – Gelonade Diaries The Gelonade girls continue their elegant dance into flower, both Pheno #1 and Pheno #2 shining in their own unique way. Their structures remain remarkably similar, tall, strong, and full of energy, while each holds onto her own personality, expressed in leaf form and flower shape. This week we noticed a few small spots on the leaves. Nothing dramatic, nothing to sound alarms about, but enough to remind us that plants, like people, sometimes whisper when they need something. It could be calcium, it could be another minor imbalance, but the key is observation. We’ll keep a close eye, watching for patterns, listening to what the girls want to tell us, and adjusting gently if needed. 🌱 Quick Recap (For Those Just Joining) From the start, this run has been about detail and care. • Germination was clean and quick, the girls leaping from seed into life. • Veg was marked by strong branching, healthy leaves, and the unforgettable funky unicorn foliage of Pheno #2. • Transplanting into super soil and fabric pots gave them the room to spread their roots and breathe. • The shift into flower was smooth, guided by careful lighting, steady feeding, and a balance of Aptus and Plagron nutrients. • Weeks 4 and 5 saw sativa-like stretch, white hairs bursting across every cola, and canopy lights filling every corner with photons. Now here we are in Week 6: the garden maturing, the flowers stacking, the personality of the genetics truly revealing itself. 💧 Feeding & Balance The recipe continues to revolve around Aptus Regulator, CalMag Boost, Top Booster, and Plagron’s Power Buds, Sugar Royal, and Green Sensation, with Aptus All-In-One Liquid helping tie the orchestra together. We’re keeping EC balanced, always mindful that the soil already provides a strong foundation. 💡 What’s Happening & What’s Next This week is all about observation. Flowers are swelling, resin begins to sparkle in early traces, and aromas start to hint at what’s to come. What to expect: denser buds, richer pistil coloration, and a canopy that will soon demand defoliation for airflow. What not to expect: miracles overnight. This is the stage of patience, where the magic brews quietly within each calyx. 💚 Closing Thought The Gelonades remind us that growth is rarely flawless. A spot on a leaf is not a failure, but a message. Perfection isn’t the goal, balance is. And balance is exactly what these girls are showing us week after week. PS: Understanding Foxtailing One of the girls, our Pheno #2, is starting to show signs of foxtailing. For those new to the term, foxtailing refers to when buds grow in elongated, irregular patterns instead of stacking neatly into the dense, conical shape we often expect. The result is a flower that looks “spiky” or “funky,” almost as though the plant is growing multiple little towers from a single cola. Why does this happen? There are two main sides to the story: • Genetic Foxtailing: Some strains naturally express this trait, especially sativa-leaning hybrids. In this case, foxtailing is simply part of the plant’s personality, often leading to extra surface area for resin glands, which can even mean more trichomes and aromas. • Environmental Foxtailing: Stress factors can also trigger it — high heat, intense light (too much PPFD), or shifts in feeding can encourage buds to keep stacking in odd ways rather than finishing their round formation. In our case, the temperatures have sometimes pushed higher than ideal, and the lights are running strong, so those factors might play a role. But genetics also carry a heavy influence, and Gelonade — being sativa-leaning, can naturally lean toward these elongated flower expressions. Is foxtailing a problem? Not at all. While it can look unusual compared to the “textbook” cola shape, it doesn’t reduce quality. In fact, it can increase flower mass and surface resin coverage, giving us more material and potentially more complex aesthetics. Some growers even treasure it as a unique expression of their plant’s individuality. So while Pheno #2 may look a little funky, we see it as a gift, more fruit, more character, more story to tell. Seeing lots of good development, Pineapple Express is almost there! I went ahead and defoliated the light bleached leaves, trichomes are getting more cloudy. Spotted a few amber trichomes but not many... update- varies by bud. Trich’s appear mostly cloudy to me. Looking at harvesting maybe mid-week next week... 5 more days or so... maybe sooner if trichomes becomes more amber! Super excited to see how this Pineapple Express turns out! Went ahead and clipped the bud off her that had been pollinated, she was starting to open up some of the seed pods. Seeds look fully developed and are quite dark. Tester bud had a few seeds in it but not outrageously so, only a few. Berry white is trucking along, lots of trichome development this week but buds still don’t seem to be swelling much. Smell coming off this little plant is fantastic!

🌱 Barney’s Farm Run – Update Running some strains from Barney’s Farm and things are slowly moving forward. 🌱 Dos Si Dos 33 ✅ Both Dos Si Dos 33 seeds germinated 🌿 They are now planted and starting to grow 🎯 Plan: Let them grow a bit Take clones later Check the phenotype I still have ~10 seeds from this batch, so the idea is to keep backup genetics in case one of these turns out to be mother plant material. 🍊 Mimosa Orange Punch 🔁 Transplanted into a 10L pot Soil mix used: Lurpe Farmers Mix insect frass Now waiting to see how it responds after the transplant. 🏆 Acapulco Gold 🌱 Both seeds germinated 💪 One of the two plants is clearly stronger and growing faster so far. 🍪 Girl Scout Cookies 😅 Only 1 seed germinated from the batch 🌿 The plant is still fighting and trying to keep up For now we let them grow and observe 👀 More updates coming soon 🌱🔥

01/27/2021 Flowering going well Flowering #2,#3,#6 #6 is a week ahead of#2,#3 will put others in on week 4 for a staggered harvesting 01/30/2022 watered with fungal tea and some aloe mixed in for amino acids and other goodness. Well see how she progresses in 4 days Also working on some banana peel tea to give a boost of potassium if I do next week it should be available for week 6-7. Ps. Fuzzy Mellon (bag seed male) I will pollinate one lucky branch on #6 as she is my favorite. But number 3(tall and lanky one) will get pollination of one branch as well. I can't wait to see how they recombine with fuzzy melon smell mixed with burnt rubber and model glue and pine. #2 no pollination (smaller one) #5 (bonsai) and #8 are males. So 3 female out of 8 seeds. Going to make some feminized seeds next time,so I'll have plenty of female's for a staggard harvest.

Resin is increasing and looks like bud sites are ready to start putting on some bulk. Issue with low ph drift reaching 5.2 so I decreased 50ppm with distilled water without calmag to soften the water and counter the drift. After decreasing ppm, ph drift continues, so I flushed for 2 days with distilled water and added back nutrients at half strength to increase to 800 ppm over time.

I removed some more leaves. I checked today the trichomes (Thursday) and it is tricky. It looks unmatured, but some already amber. I wanna give 2 weeks more to be sure, it is the 8th week of flowering. Everything remain the same, watering 2 x 200ml a day. Only pure water because it is being flushed. Very nice plant !❤️🤪 There is a lot of flower on it and the plant is bent because of that. It also has very strong smell and if I touch, it makes my fingers very sticky.👌 End of the week Purple Punch is 43 cm.

Welcome back! Not much to say this week! I’m suffering because I run out of my Silver Haze, and I don’t have any weed left. Plus this girl is taking forever!!!!! This is the drawback of growing only sativas in only one grow box. 😄 But let’s say I’m resetting my tolerance to weed, in order to get ready for the legendary Dr. Grinspoon. Well, she’s growing at a very slow pace, but I can see many foxtails coming out from the main flowers. Some flowers are still growing, and slowly reaching the highest in the middle. You can clearly see them in the photos. There’s also a night video where you can see the frosty trichomes really well at the end of the set. Yummy! Day 122: Last feed @ 0.33ml/L for every product in 9L of tap water at PH6.5 (with Biomassa and Florastimo together, even though Biomagno suggests not to give them together in the same week). 0.33ml/L is 1/3 of suggested dosage. Runoff: 730PPMs, PH 7.0. Day 125: 9L of tap water. Runoff: 672PPMs, PH 7.1.

Great week. Plants are exploding. Smell is coming in on the Glitter Gas nicely. Both plants have many bud sites. Increased light to 60%. Around 750ppfd. Still going lighter on nutrients and plants are thriving. Having to feed every 2 days on the Glitter Gas. And every 3 for the Peyote Zkittlez… which ended up stretching perfectly.

Guava Sundae – Week 5 (Fast Buds Outdoor 2026) Another week of fantastic weather! Guava Sundae is getting tons of direct sunshine every day and is being fed regularly. She’s really soaking it all up. As you can see in the pictures, she’s still growing a bit crooked and it hasn’t straightened out yet. The good news is she seems to be doing really well regardless. I upgraded her support with better sticks this week to keep her stable. She’s now over 15 cm tall with a beautiful, vibrant green color.

It's all about the bacteria! Took the EM1, fish shit, kefir, worm castings, soil activator, ground malted barley, fine ground egg shells (uncooked), fine ground shrimp shells (uncooked) and molasses and brewed it out as a tea for 36 hours until it was bubbling. This one I'm calling the Ultimate microbe bomb. I applied this to the ladies after I moved them to the flowering tent and boy have they exploded in Growth of just over 2" in one Gas Lantern Day. Will flop them to flower at some point in the coming days. after I get them to grow a bit taller.

Another good week. Been trying to water with my mix a couple times a week. Otherwise I've been using the blumats. There has been twice though I overwatered with those and flooded slightly. Still trying to adjust them just right
