Shes blowing up and is really throwing the trichomes! I'm super happy with the odor and shes very vigorous. She seems to be taking a little longer then her friend strawbwery gorilla. I expect to see her swell!!!! My apologies that I was late this week will double up on Thursday for you guys as these photos I took last Wednesday to put things into perspective. 23.08.24: I've done considerable defoliation. Also, FBP1 and FBP3 have grown all over the place. The stems are also relatively weaker as they've grown so much. (Photos above). Being as the plants were looking a bit delicate, I added some string and tied the side branches lightly to keep them a bit more compact. Additionally, FBP2 has a considerable amount of buds on the main cola. So I've added a plant stake, and I just tied string around the stake and the main stalk. The humidity has been able to stay under 53%. That's with 3 dehumidifiers. So I'm pretty sure that's about as good as it will probably be. I've had to lower the watering frequency on FBP3, as I overwatered only this plant. and also added too much Nitrogen in. As a result all the leaves are looking droopy. I'm really not sure how this will pan out, as they all still look like they're weeks away from harvest. Anyway, I'll update throughout the week. 25.8.24: I was tending to the garden a majority of the day, and realised that a branch had broken on FBP2. I acted quickly to insert plant stakes, to provide the heavily laden branches additional support. See photos above. The branch was bent or snapped, but still in one piece. I used duct tape to carefully put it back together. Before making a stake for it. Silica, apparently wasn't quite enough to get the FBP2 through the whole way. The flowers are very heavy and dense. I have also given the plants water yesterday with concentrations of the following nutrients, per plant. ● 9ltr of dechlorinated tap water with 6ml of cal-mag, 3ml of Ecothrive Flourish, 6ml of Xpert Nutrients Bloom Booster. I have also added cinnamon top dress after watering, as I have noticed some fungus gnats. I checked the trichomes through one of my loupes yesterday too, and nearly all are still glass like in appearance, with some cloudy here and there. I'm definitely going to have some time left on these girls. I did check the PH if my soil on all plants as I was concerned about nutrient lock out on FBP3. All pots tested out at 7.0 Ph exactly, before and after watering. Thanks for reading my diary 😊

Día 66 desde la germinación. 1 semana de floración, estoy cambiando el foto periodo de forma paulatina, para ver como se comportan las plantas, 1/2 hora cada 1 día. Las plantas han retomado su vigorosidad, tanto la Gelato como la California Orange están creciendo a buen ritmo y totalmente recuperadas después de haber estado unos días decaídas. Esta semana empece a aplicar en forma de riego foliar el estimulador de floración (Big One).

May 31st Everything is looking good after the LST from last week, I said I was going to swap them into flower and I realized that I should wait another week or so as they will be going into a new home so to speak. Updates coming next week for that. Doesn't look like to many PH issues anymore or whatever was happening but the plants seem a bit happier now June 1st I Figured today would be a good day to do a bit of defoliation on these girls in order to get some more light down to the newer growth. I didn't take a ton off as you can see, but for the size of the plant I suppose it was a decent amount. I read somewhere that a general rule of thumb is only defoliate roughly 30% of the plant at most. I'm not to sure if it is true but I tried to stay within that general rule. June 2nd, I decided since I would have them in veg for at least a little while long I would top them again. After topping I gave them some water and nutrients. I know I said I would do straight water for the next one but I went for it anyways as it seems the flowering mixture may be giving it some deficiency's. So I gave them the recommended feeding for heavy veg growth. I gave about 3L to the bigger plant and around 2L to the smaller plant (as it was still a bit moist but it wasn't damp). My crappy soil tester was saying my soil was at around 8PH so I figured I would aim to feed around 6ph. With the small amount of runoff from the smaller plant I did A PH test and the PH seemed to be around the 4.5-5ph area. My liquid ph meter arrived broken so I am waiting for the new one, therefore I am using the general hydroponics liquid test kit. I presume my soil ph is lower then the water I have given seeing as it went from 6ph water to around 4.5. Next feeding I will aim to feed at 7PH. With the defoliation I just made sure that the tie downs were decently tight still and moved what I thought needed to be moved. June 3rd,4th Not a ton to update on. I didn't get any pictures for these 2 days. June 5th Some obvious problems going on with the bigger plant. I am guessing it is the PH issue but I am still unsure. The one browned leaf I accidentally squished in the tie down while I was low stress training it so it got a bit damaged. Other then that the plants are growing decent. Im not sure why I didn't have more pictures for today but I mainly took problems of the problem areas. June 6th Not much going on still. They are still just hanging out not doing to much. It was a busy work week so pictures in general were a bit lazy. I will try to get more for the upcoming weeks. Big news for next week!

Its ripening, final week before harvest I love the fade this plant has so purple/yellow/blue

So , I'm currently in week 3 of veg, and let me just say, this gal is something special. She's tall, she's vibrant, and she's making all the right moves. I couldn't be more proud of her! Last week, I decided to give her a little TLC with a nice topping, and boy did she respond! She took it like a champ and just kept on growing strong. It's like she was saying, "Is that all you've got? Bring it on!" But seriously, this strain is something else. I mean, who knew that you could combine the sweet, tart flavor of lemonade with the deep, rich color of purple? Both plants have almost stopped growing in heigth now and are in full flowering mode now. Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) Plant #1 is 15 cm shorter than plant #2, but a little bushier. Both have grown very well and are strong and healthy. They get more and more flower clusters now and start to fill up all branches. Trichomes start to appear all over...the plants start to get sticky and develop a weak sweet aroma now. Its time to take off the biggest fan leaves now for defoliation, I took a round of pics before and after.

Day 33 and she's looking great, getting bushy. Day 31 and 8" tall. she's sprouted a little overnight. fed with biogrow today app 400ml

Day 56 : Well 8 full weeks si ce I flipped the lights and this lady looks so ripe now . Her pistils are mostly orange now throughout the plant. I did get a little second burst of pistils befor e the rest browned off and it swelled them very nicely . Her smell is a fruity sweet but there is also another undertone there I just cant grab at. Will hopefully come out in cure a bit more to nail it. She is nice and sticky now too and has some nice clumps of buds to that are solid to squeeze . I plan to loupe her soon to check her trichromes for cloudiness. She has t skipped a beat the whole grow and will be getting another run out soon. Hopefully next update will be harvesting pics !!!. Be safe growmies UPDATE DAY 61:She is done and out . Yay. I had planned and expected an 11 week flowering due to the genetic mix but she had other ideas. She has been a pleasure to try out and grow and will certainly be popping more of the Fruity Gorillas in the near future. She smells very "fresh fruit stall" at the moment and I am looking forward to how she cures up. I will update as soon as she is harvested from the dried stems. I am hoping for a 1p day slower dry but temps here are crazy at the moment and I cant find a cooler space to dry than my grow room yet. Some new pics of her taken out and trimmed.
