Our other solo survivor is still doing exactly what she has been doing from the beginning. Her own thing. 😂🍬 And honestly? I'm really starting to love the way this girl is developing. She's stacking. She's bulking. She's putting flowers absolutely everywhere. She's developing a beautiful structure. She's maintaining that gorgeous colour. And those pistils... Oh, those pistils. 😍 They're not the bright, almost pure white we're seeing on some of the other girls. They're starting to carry a warmer, slightly yellowish tone. And against that beautiful green foliage and developing flowers? It looks absolutely gorgeous. She's becoming one of those plants where you don't need anything dramatic to happen. You just walk in... look at her... and smile. Because she's doing beautifully. 🍬💚✨ ──────────────────────── ✨ THE SOLO SURVIVOR KEEPS SHINING ──────────────────────── I think by now we've officially moved past the "survivor" part of the story. 😂 She survived. She established herself. She grew. She flowered. And now? She's building. Big time. Candy Rain continues to develop at her own rhythm, and what I'm really enjoying this week is how much more substantial the flowering structure is becoming. She's not simply maintaining flowers anymore. She's building them. Stacking them. Bulking them. And filling her plant with them. This girl has flowers everywhere. 🌸🌸🌸 And somehow she still maintains that elegant, calm personality we've come to know. She's not screaming for attention. She's just quietly becoming more and more impressive. The flowers are building on top of the structure we've been watching develop over the previous weeks. Individual flowering sites are becoming increasingly substantial. The bud structures are becoming more defined. And when you look across the plant, you start seeing flowers everywhere you look. This is the point where all those earlier weeks of development start paying off visually. The framework was built. The flowers appeared. The flowers developed. And now they're beginning to bulk. It's really satisfying to watch. Because this isn't one impressive cola doing all the work. It's the whole plant participating. Flower after flower. Branch after branch. Stack after stack. 🍬🌸🔥 ──────────────────────── 💚 BUDS EVERYWHERE ──────────────────────── One of the things I really like about Candy Rain is how evenly she seems to be filling her space. Look around her... there are flowers everywhere. And that's what makes her so enjoyable to photograph. You can start with the whole plant. Then you find one branch. Then another. Then another flower. And suddenly you're wondering how you didn't notice all those flowers before. 😂📸 She's becoming increasingly full. The individual flowers are gaining presence. The structure is becoming more substantial. And the overall plant is starting to look like one beautiful flowering mass rather than simply a plant that happens to have flowers on it. She's getting there. And she's getting there beautifully. ──────────────────────── 🌼 THOSE PISTILS... ──────────────────────── Now let's talk about something I particularly noticed this week. The pistils. 😍 They're beautiful. But they're not the same bright white we're seeing on some of the other girls. Candy Rain is giving us a slightly warmer expression. A little more yellowish. A little more golden. And against the green foliage? It's stunning. There's something about that warmer tone that gives the flowers a completely different character. It's subtle. It's not screaming for attention. But once you notice it... you keep noticing it. And that's exactly what I love about phenotype hunting. Sometimes the differences aren't enormous. Sometimes they're little details. A slightly different colour. A slightly different structure. A different rhythm. A different way of stacking. Those deep greens. The flowers developing against them. The warmer pistils. The frost developing across the flower surfaces. Everything is coming together beautifully. She's got that rich, almost classic flowering-plant appearance. Nothing feels out of place. Nothing is screaming for attention. It's simply... balanced. And sometimes balance is what makes a plant beautiful. Candy Rain doesn't need to be the strangest plant in the room. She doesn't need to be the tallest. She doesn't need to have the most unusual structure. She simply needs to be herself. And she's doing that extremely well. ──────────────────────── SAME ROOM. SAME WORLD. We've added two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures to the room. When we first brought the extra lighting in, the available PPFD was higher than we wanted for our target. So rather than simply throwing everything at the plants... we reduced the output. We're now around: 💡 ~59% power from the plug with approximately: ☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy and naturally less depending on plant height and position. That's one of the things I really like about having more lighting capability. We don't have to run everything at maximum. We can have the photons available... and decide how many we actually want to use. And Candy Rain? She's receiving the same upgraded environment as everybody else. Same photons. Same room. Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. And hello to you who read my diary, I just want to say that I am pleased that you have chosen to check in with me and in my diary. I do this for myself and for a steady flow of my medicine. Everything you read and see in my diary is 100% honest and I will never distort or beautify anything here. I document my crops so that I can learn from my mistakes and also to look back at those different crops. I try to update with pictures every day and with text if something special has happened in the garden. This is my strainhunt for the best medicine and the beginning of my journey with cannabis and the cultivation of it. This is my second feminised cultivation ever. First, I'm just going to say something about my grow room. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps for bloom. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This new strain combines two well-received parents, Juanita la Lagrimosa (Spanish for "Juanita the Tearful") and Royal Highness, which are themselves genetic hybrids of other precursor strains: Juanita the Tearful from Queen Mother and a Mexican-Afghan blend; Royal Highness from Dance Hall and Respect 13. On and on the strains date back in agricultural time, each new variety with its own unique smell, taste, color, high and medical benefit. However, in the past decade, a goal of all this tinkering has been what some producers are starting to call “Royal Respect” with the soul of marijuana's benefits going toward both body and mind. Painkiller XL is notable for its near-equal representation of 6 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and 7 percent cannabidiol (CBD), achieved by a seed that's 70 percent sativa and 30 percent indica. This new strain joins others rich in both CBD and THC like Euphoria, Royal Medic, Medical Mass and Danceworld that seek to actually not necessarily downplay cannabis' psychoactive effects in favor of optimizing its healing role, but instead equalize the two. According to the California-based Steep Hill Cannabis Analysis Laboratory, this equalization brings to the cannabis user not just the physically healing aspects, but also the spiritually and psychologically healing benefits as well. There are other strains with very little THC and more CBD than Painkiller XL , but rare are such splendid balances. Producers of this strain say it produces a considerable amount of pain relief, with a mild, relieving mental euphoria. I wish I had more plants like this one. 😂💗 Because every time I look at Pink Rosay Pheno A, I have exactly the same thought: "Why can't they all be this easy?" 😂 She's in full auto mode now. She's growing. She's developing. She's doing exactly what she wants to do. But she's doing it in the most beautifully compact way possible. She's not trying to take over the room. She's not reaching for the ceiling. She's not creating some enormous structure that requires an engineering degree to navigate. She's simply... growing. Beautifully. Compactly. Efficiently. And carrying some absolutely gorgeous flowers. This girl has charm. Trying not to knock something over. And then there's Pink Rosay. "Hello, little lady." Pick her up. Move her. Inspect her. Photograph her. Put her back. Done. 😂💗 And somehow... she's carrying flowers that look like they belong on a much larger plant. That's what gets me. ──────────────────────── 🌸 Compact Frame. Huge Flower Presence. This girl is still proving that size doesn't tell the whole story. She's compact. She's manageable. She's easy to work with. But look at those flowers. The formation is beautiful. The buds are developing into substantial, impressive structures. The density is becoming one of her defining characteristics. And the frost? Absolutely on point. ❄️❄️❄️ This is one of those plants where you can look at the overall structure and think: "That's a small plant." Then you look closer... and suddenly: "Wait a minute..." 😂 Because the flowers completely change the perspective. She's not wasting much of her available space. That's a pretty wonderful personality to have in a room full of twelve very different plants. ──────────────────────── ❄️ Frost Is Definitely Showing Up The resin development is another part of this girl that I really enjoy watching. As the flowers continue developing, the frost becomes increasingly obvious. Those little sparkling details start showing themselves everywhere. From a distance, you see the flowers. Get closer... and suddenly the whole thing becomes a completely different world. Trichomes. Resin. Pistils. Calyxes. Sugar leaves. Tiny textures everywhere. This is one of those stages where macro photography becomes especially addictive. 😂📸 Because every time you zoom in, there's another little detail waiting to be discovered. And Pink Rosay gives the camera plenty to work with. ──────────────────────── 📸 A Photographer's Dream I've said this before... but it remains true. Pink Rosay is incredibly easy to photograph. And that's not a small thing when you're documenting twelve different plants. Some plants make you work for the shot. You have to move around them. Find an opening. Move a branch. Change the camera position. Try not to bump into something. 😂 Pink Rosay? She basically cooperates. She's compact enough that I can get around her. Her flowers are accessible. Her structure is easy to understand. And once the camera gets close... she starts telling her own story. Wide shot: "Nice little plant." Closer shot: "Okay..." Macro: "Holy shit, look at that frost." 😂💗❄️ That's exactly what I love about photographing plants. The closer you get, the more complicated and beautiful the story becomes. ──────────────────────── 💡 Still Eating Photons The room continues operating under the same upgraded lighting setup. The Future of Grow Black Series LEDs are providing the main overhead lighting, with the additional fixtures now part of the room's lighting ecosystem. After adding the two extra Black Series 600W fixtures, the initial output was higher than we wanted, so we reduced the power to approximately 59% from the plug. The result? Around 1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy, with the intensity naturally decreasing depending on plant height and position. And Pink Rosay? She's using those photons in her own way. Some plants respond to the same environment with enormous vertical growth. Some create wider structures. Some build huge canopies. And this little lady seems to say: "I don't need to be tall. Just give me the photons and watch what I do with them." 😂💗 And honestly... I'm impressed. ──────────────────────── 💡 More Capability Without Chasing Maximum Power One thing I really like about this lighting upgrade is that we don't need to run everything at full power simply because the fixtures are capable of it. Having more lighting capacity gives us flexibility. We can distribute the photons across the room. We can reach the canopy properly. And we can dial the output back to where we actually want it. That's a very different thing from simply turning everything to 100% and calling it a day. The goal is not maximum power. The goal is providing the room with the right lighting environment. And right now, Pink Rosay seems very happy with what she's receiving. The major structural work was already done earlier. She's healthy. She's accessible. Her flowers are visible. Her canopy is manageable. And now? We're mostly observing. There is absolutely no prize for using scissors just because you have scissors. 😂✂️ Sometimes the best thing you can do for a plant is stop trying to find something to do to it. One demands space. Another makes every centimetre count. And Pink Rosay? She's showing us what her particular genetics want to do. Compact. Beautiful. Dense. Frosty. Manageable. Charming. That's her story. ──────────────────────── 💗 One of the Plants I Really Don't Want to End I'm going to be honest... these are the plants that make me wish the diary didn't eventually have to end. 😂 Because she's just so enjoyable to watch.
