Week 6: Aroma, Buds, and Excitement! 🌿🌸💨 Hey there, fellow growers! It's time for an exhilarating update on my flourishing journey. We've officially reached week 6 of the flowering phase, and let me tell you, it's getting pretty amazing in my grow tent. Here's what's been happening: The aroma that fills the air when I open my tent is mind-blowing! It hits me right in the face with its funky skunkiness, and I can't help but smile. These ladies are developing some seriously potent terpenes, and I can't wait to savor the flavors when it's time to harvest. 🌿👃💨 Speaking of buds, they are looking absolutely stunning. The development is on point, and the density is increasing day by day. I find myself gazing at them with a sense of pride and excitement. These girls are going to be something special. 🌸🌿🌱💪 I'm thrilled to report that there are no signs of seed pods or hermaphroditism. The ladies are staying true to their femininity, focusing solely on producing those gorgeous, resinous flowers. It's a relief and a testament to the genetics and care they've received. 🚫⚡️ To ensure their continued growth, I've upped the watering to 5 liters every two days. These thirsty beauties need their hydration! Along with the increased watering, I've noticed some oranging on the tops and a touch of purpling on the leaves. It's a delightful display of colors that adds even more visual appeal to the grow tent. 🌿🍊💜 As for the nutrient solution, I've maintained a stable pH of 6.33, allowing for optimal nutrient uptake. The TDS level has remained between 1150 and 1250, providing the perfect balance of nutrients for the plants' needs. ⚖️📈 With everything going so well, I'm buzzing with excitement for what the next week of flowering will bring. Hello Diary! This time on the "Farm" there are two new strains from Royal Queen Seeds, Watermelon Auto and Purple Punch Auto. In this diary we will dedicate ourselves to Watermelon. 😀 I would like to thank James of the Royal Queen Seeds for sending me these strains. 🙏 LET'S START FIRST WITH THE FARM SET-UP: Box - Secret Jardin DS120W 120x60x178 Lights - MIGRO 200+ Ventilation - Blauberg Turbo - E 100 Filter - Primaklima filter PK 100/125 Fan - Oscillating Koala Fan Humidifier - Beurer LB 45 Soil - BIOBIZZ Light - Mix Pot - 11L AirPot Seed - Royal Queen Seed Nutrition - BioBizz and RQS Organic nutrition A few words about Watermelon Automatic. The breeders from RQS set out with the intention of crafting a strain that lights the taste buds on fire. To achieve such a tantalizing terpene profile, they selected two of the most flavorful parent strains available: Tropicanna Cookies and Lemon OG. Both of these varieties are packed full of limonene, myrcene, and other fruity and earthy molecules. Watermelon Automatic emerged with a genetic makeup of 75% indica, 20% sativa, and 5% ruderalis. The speedy autoflowering strain managed to inherit all of the tasty terpenes from her ancestors. These are the characteristics, we will now see what it will look like on my small farm. LET THE DIARY START OFFICIALLY: 14/01/2021. Planting. After cleaning the Farm (GrowBox), I prepared everything I needed. Soil is a Light-Mix from BioBizz, Air-Pot's, Organic Additives that I mix with soil. From the beginning of this hobby, I use only organic fertilizers. I used 11L pots, to which I added 50g Easy Boost Organic Nutrition, 10g Easy Roots Rhizobacter and 5g Easy Roots Mycorrhizza Mix to the soil and mixed everything well. After that I soaked the soil well with water, made a small hole, laid the seed inside and lightly covered it with soil. After planting is completed, they enter their new home. As I wrote earlier, in addition to Watermelon, there are two more Purple Punch Auto on the Farm to keep him company. The temperature in the Box at that time was 23 degrees and the humidity was slightly below 45%, so I will have to put humidifier to raise humidity. I set the lights 35cm from the pots as Migro recommends. 14 - 17/01/2021 I sprayed the surface of the soil with water a couple of times to keep the soil moisture at the surface. 17/01/2021 Watermelon Automatic sprouted. There was a seed coat left on the stalk so I had to remove it by hand, but a nice photo motif. 22/01/2021 I watered the plants with a small amount of water to which I only regulated p.H at 6.4. Farm: 24.7 degrees - 55% humidity I'm quite late with the publication of the diary, the reason is the large number of photos I take and then I need to find time to put everything in a pile, along with the notes and type everything nicely. No matter how much time I spend on the diary, it relaxes me and makes me happy. See you soon.

Excited to see some growth! Had clean paper towels, a dark dvd case, a nail file and tweezers. The file was just to break the outer shell a little so they suck up water faster. I'm curious if it works!

Week 4 of flower 17 to 23/4 Stretching seems over, she started to blow up some flowers ! Changed her water twice already, she takes up lots of nutrients. Been powercharing her soil with a wormcast extract too.

For a while, was planning on transplanting the #2 pheno, but after a 5-month cure, the unique and smooth smoke of the #1 pheno was the ultimate reason for switch. --- Ca-Caw! Always pheno hunting! This is why we grow! --- Okay, anyways! - [18:22]: Time to transplant! --- Both 7-gallon pots have been pre-amended and ready for more roots! --- Alright let's go cutty! --- Placed both of the spare Heady OG clones in the propagation tray. - [18:25]: Gently removed the solo cups from both fabric pots (on the right side of the tent) leaving perfect holes. ------ Sprinkled 1/16tsp of Great White, --- Dusted the sides of both holes. --- Also sprinkled a bit around the top soil. --- Great! Time to transplant! --- It’s been two days since both have been watered. --- To loosen and unstick the rootball from the cup, I gently squeezed the sides before pressing the bottom upwards. --- Once fully loosened, I simply Vulcan-gripped the base of the plant and flipped her upside down. - [18:33]: Gorilla Goat #1 dropped straight out of her cup! --- Hmm. Not as rooted as I would hope, but roots look white and healthy! --- The original Garlic Budder #1 pheno easily slipped out of her cup! --- Similar the Gorilla Goat, she could have more roots, but that’s okay. Roots look healthy and that is all that matters! --- Did not break up the rootballs. --- Gently flipped and placed each clone carefully into the pre-inoculated holes. --- Pressed and evened out the top soil for both phenos. - [18:39]: Transplant done! --- Gorilla Goat #1 was transplanted into the back right quadrant. --- Garlic Budder OG#1 was transplanted into the front right quadrant. --- To prevent transplant shock and to help even out the soil moisture, going to give 2 cups of wetting solution each. --- Also adding in a few extra microbes. - [18:55]: Filled a pitcher with 6 cups of RO water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] ------ Added 1/32tsp of Recharge ------ Added 1/32tsp of Stash Blend ------ Added 1/8tsp of Horticultural Aloe ------ Added 1/8tsp of Horticultural Coconut ------ Added 1/8tsp of Mycrobe Complete ------ Added 1/2tsp of WDG3000 Extra Strength BTI --- Mixed the solution and poured 2 cups straight into a pump sprayer. --- Misted Gorilla Goat #1's straw mulch with the wetting solution (back right quadrant). --- Took my time and tried to go evenly. - [19:15]: Repeated this process for the original Garlic Budder #1 pheno (front right quadrant). --- Using the remaining 2 cups of the wetting solution, misted the straw mulch for both Heady OG (front left quadrant) and TKO (back left quadrant) mothers. --- Ca-Caw!! Done with the transplant! Grow strong my veg queens! - [19:22]: As for the remaining veg clones, --- Decided to try to preserve the genetics in solo cups and basic clonal cycling techniques. --- Plan to take new cuttings in a few weeks or so and will begin the rooting process once more. --- Curing has really changed the way I currently hunt phenos and I really don’t want to lose another keeper pheno (recently regret not keeping a cutting of Garlic Budder #4). --- Oh! Also finally decided to fully give tissue culture a go! --- Another huge shout out to Laur and her independently ran business, Plants-In-Jars! --- If successful, learning tissue culture will be a huge ganja journey milestone by providing a sustainable way to preserve and maintain a diverse genetic library. --- Through continuous subculturing and micro propagation, I should be able to maintain unrooted explant cuttings forever. --- Then when needed, theses cuttings can be rooted and conditioned back into a clonal state and back into solo-cups for transplanting. --- Of course, I have absolutely no idea what I am doing, so developing a successful cannabis tissue culture protocol is going to be fun and full of failure, err, I mean, learning experiences! --- What can possibility go wrong right!? --- While learning (which will most likely take a bit), will continue to maintain the vegging mothers and solo cup clones. --- The ganja journey continues! I counted the days again and came to the conclusion that I have 70 days full and harvested tonight. Enough brown and amber trichomes are also present. I'm excited to see how they taste and pop. They definitely look and smell very good. What's really funny: From the 2-3 week onwards, I turned both TS1000s up to 100% for 18 hours a day. I just wanted to find out my cap. I used around 100kW/h and €40 less in electricity costs. Compared to my last grow with Feminized and 10 weeks of flowering + Veggy. I wouldn't have expected that. Well... let it dry in peace first. Week 5 of Runtz Clone test is going well, really healthy. Setting in nicely to her new 9L pot. No rapid growth yet. So the roots are still spreading out. Hopefully I'll have clones to take off in the next 10-14 days. 3rd/2 Days 29-3 She's growing well. I added 400ml of mixed nutrients all below. WEEK 14 - HARVEST: The Grand Finale ​🌼 FLOWERING PROGRESS The journey of the Monster Maker has come to its successful end. After 9 full weeks of flowering, she reached her absolute peak. The final days showed a stunning purple fade, and the bud density became rock-solid. As seen in the final photos, the structure was perfect, and every site was loaded with high-quality flower. It was time to chop! ​👃 TERPENES & AROMA Even during the harvest process, the scent was overwhelming. The sweet, citrusy tangerine notes have merged with a heavy, spicy, and earthy funk. It smells like a premium dessert with a gassy twist. I expect the terpene profile to become even more refined during the slow dry. ​🌡️ ENVIRONMENT & VPD Final conditions in the tent were kept at 24.8°C and 46% RH (VPD ~1.65 kPa) right until the end. Now, for the drying phase, I have adjusted the environment to aim for a slow, 10-14 day dry to preserve those precious tangerine terpenes. ​💧 NUTRIENT FEEDING & WATERING The 7-day flush with pure, pH-regulated water was completed perfectly. The plant looked beautifully "starved" and clean, which should result in a very smooth smoke and pure white ash. No more nutrients, just the natural essence of the plant. ​💭 GROWER'S NOTE HARVEST DAY! Seeing this lady without her leaves (the "naked" structure) really shows the success of the LST and training. Questa settimana le piante hanno mostrato carenza di azoto. Essendo alle prime armi con i nutrienti ho avuto quindi dei problemi. Ho integrato il FISH-MIX di BioBizz nei nutrimenti e sembrano essersi stabilizzate(non so se effettivamente ci sono stati dei miglioramenti). È bello vedere come le piante crescono e capire i loro segnali. Capire quali errori si sono commessi e migliorare sempre per le esperienze successive. In merito a questo una delle piante si è allungata davvero tanto. Non ho eseguito nella maniera corretta il BANDING. Vorrei defogliare ma non so come eseguire la procedura. Se avete consigli sono ben accetti.
