Great smell , great smoke

Esta variedad me encanta, huelen genial y sus cogollos son super densos y llenos de resina siempre. Poca tolerancia a los excesos y es muy fácil de estresar. A pesar de todo sigue siendo una de mis variedades favoritas ya que su aroma old school con toques ácidos me fascina!. Actualizaré luego del secado y después notas de humo. Saludos!

The plants are growing very nicely, but this week there is very little sun, rather very cloudy and rainy However, the scent is wonderful and the plants are extremely sticky and smell sweet and tangy.

The stretch has finally stopped, thank goodness, and they are starting to put on a little density. I lollipopped them thinking they would would reach a little more than double where they started, about 26 inches, but they blew right past that and are sitting at 31 inches for the tallest branches. Going to end up with a little fluff, but that's OK, i'll make some strong olive oil out of it. The light is about 9 inches from the tallest branches, but they are all to the outside edge and will be fine. Main buds in the center are at about 13 inches and even the lower buds are a max of 18 which is still a great position. As long as I can keep the light penetrating to the lower buds they should turn out fine. I started at ROCK resinator this week and am pulling back on Canna Part A; after week 6 I will stop it completely and just use the CalMag, Part B, Boost and ROCK. Week 7 and 8 and I will Mendicino Avalanche again, I have always had good results with that. No signs of color yet on the RHC but breeder notes say it comes the last weeks of flower. Its going to start getting colder during the day so I am hoping night time temps in the high 60s and daytime temps staying below 75 will bring out some color regardless. I put a plant outside as a throw away to see what happens and wouldn't ya know it, that fucker is turning purple lol. Hoping they start to bulk up in the coming week.

-plants are looking alright -Gorilla Zkittlez turned purple (probably because i missed one watering) -now fertilizing again ( i paused it for a little over a week) -think they will need a few more weeks or what do you think? happy for any comment :)

Hello Growers and Tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 Sorry for the delay on the weekly updates, had some things I had to attend but I'm back and at it! 21-day defoliation has come.. These pictures were taken on day 20 of flower Nice progress with these ladies, I honestly did expect them to stretch this much. They were pretty heavy on leaves so I did a bit of cleaning of big fan leaves and bottom useless growth.. I admit, went a bit too far with one of them. Should've left a few more fan leaves behind.. 😪😓 Other than that, things are looking good. Bud sites are more visible, sure hope they keep growing out. Stopped adding grow nutrients, only bloom now. This week transplanted all new soon to be Mother plants to 5 gallon fabric pot, the topped plant responded well and is 8 inches, tied down to 7 to open her up, and the heavy rooted runt of the bunch is 6 inches,

3/27 Been fighting the warmth of the lights and the rising temps lately. Amnesia is still sacrificing leaves, but much more slowly now, letting me pick out about 5-10 per day. I really don't know what caused it all, but at least this could make trimming easier. I'm trying to make sure I pull off all the browning and crispy leaves so that they don't get absorbed by growing bud. Trainwreck is getting much more purple, but is also browning in some spots. Trainwreck doesn't let go of any leaves, as the base of them is still green, which makes it more difficult to sift through the brown leaves and pull them out. Fed at the end of last week, may have been Friday. 3/29 Feeding 3/4 nutrients today! 3/31 Fed 1/2 strength nutrients and lowering lights to 50% before going away for the weekend. 4/1 They survived my time away. 4/2 Some crispy leaves needed to be plucked from Trainwreck to open up other budsites. Trichomes are still not amber.

10 September Harvest - see pictures. While some growers leave the plant whole when they cut, I do not. It is a personal preference and situational convenience if your a home grower. I chose to cut large, long branches, and remove any whole water leaves, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the bud formation. I don’t trim yet. This is done for a few of reasons: 1) It’s my last good close-up look at her until another 5 days or more, 2) I don’t want wet leaves drying on my buds if I can help it, and 3) I occasionally like being able to shine a small LED flashlight on the flowers while its drying. Mold is our greatest problem as growers, it can destroy a beautiful grow right up until the end process. Then I hang it in a dark closet, provide circulation and ventilation. Light and heat, anything above 80 degrees F, will start a break down in cannabinoids during the dry, it is ideal to stay away from both. I’m fortunate that a humidity level of 50- 55% and temperature of 65-70 degrees F is fairly consistent and easy to maintain. Anything below 60 degree F will prevent the adequate drying out of chlorophyll. Almost all my flower routinely take 5-7 days, some a little longer, to properly dry out. 15 September Trim - see pictures. First you’ll notice the buds have shrunk up to half their original size. This is just a fact that we growers have to deal with. Due to evaporation without uptake of water, it takes about 3 days for the chlorophyll to dry up, then slowly go through a chemical change. Along with the leaves, cannabinoids also begin a chemical change after 3 days called decarboxylation. A slow process where the THC level increases while curing. You want the leaf to be dry so they can be hand trimmed easily, but you do not want that bud so dry that it starts to fall apart in your hand. Try to handle carefully by the main stem to avoid touching the bud all together. A lot of these cut leaves will be covered with trichomes, good for making oils, or other products, it’s an option worth looking into keeping it. After trimming, I do separate a few premium flowers for my first smoq. Then loosely fill wide mouth quart mason jars with about 1 oz/28 gr of product per jar. I seal the lids for a few hours to determine what relative humidity they are at, see hygrometer pic, before making a decision to put in a 62% humidity control pack of my choice or to wait, then place in secure in a cool dark place with stable humidity and temperature. It is very important to then observe/burp or exchange the air as needed, up to several times a day, until 62% rh is achieved. Once your close to to your mark, put in your desired RH level control terpene shield. If you have a problem getting there: 1) it has dried out too much, no real solution, try to put several large cut stems left over from harvest into the jars with the buds to try and increase humidty, 2) it has not dried out enough, in this case no problem, just remove and dry out a little more. This is also a personal choice, some people like it drier in the 50% plus range. Whatever you do, research and preserve. At that time burping is no longer required. Cannabis will reach its peak potency potential at about 40 or so days into the cure. The finished product should be a perfect grind when cured correctly without clogging up your grinder, this could take a month. Now that I’ve said that, I’m sure someone has grown something that they have not been able to grind. It can remain in this state for an easy 6 months with little change, locking in all the terpenes and potencies. All you need to do is occasionally check the product to ensure there are no molds. If your grow/harvest/cure techniques are good this should not be an issue. It would not be uncommon to find many cannabis strains will last, with small degradable change, for up to one year after being stored this way. Using an airtight glass container, controlled relative humidity, maintained low temperature, and kept in darkness will equal maximum shelf life. Always avoid direct sunlight and temperatures above 80 degrees F. The reasons I’ve ultimately chosen Deep Water Culture as a grow medium. Each has their own pros and cons indeed. I found the most efficient, less maintenance and ideal solution for my situation was DWC. Burdens to overcome depend on size up set-up; initial equipment cost, size of containers, ph monitors, air pumps, type of water to use-reverse osmosis, RO cost/set-up/maintenance, ways to transfer/change water and nutrients, what nutrients to use and schedules, takes several grows to learn and understand, a 1 year learning curv, easy to nutrient burn. The Benefits of growing in water; no dirt, no bugs, no diseases, rare nutrient deficiencies/toxicities, steady and rapid growth that enables the plant to reach its genetic potential. After harvest, there is about a 1 hour equipment cleanup, sterilization and turn around process before replanting. Cannabis will perform in so many different ways and mediums, no one way is the best and the best way is the one you are using, right. Chose what works for you in the long run. There will always be an initial cost in set-up. My advice if one were in need to cut corners, I would not recommend cheap lights. This single factor is the most critical, afford for the best. The notion that organic and water has a different taste, flavor and potency effect is absolutely debatable. The more we learn the better we grow and experience is always the best teacher. This is what works for me and my methods of growing in general from beginning to end. A BIG “Thank You” to everyone who stopped by to take a look. My next diary will start at the beginning of October 2023 with a Forbidden Runtz Auto. There will be minor differences during the grow. I enjoy Auto strains simply by what can be achieved in a short time. No matter the strain they will unveil one thing in common, the demand for attention. Many times over it is the anecdotal gardener that surmount plant scientist. Last should I mention, do not forget to stop and enjoy the fruits of your labour...

I probably should have flushed for all this last week of flowering or a bit more but didnt expected it to get ready for harvest that quick... I bought a microscope and it shows that all trichomes were milky and about a 10% amber, so only flushed at the last watering a few days before harvesting this beauty.

Still lookin healthy as she starts week 2 of flower. Middle branches are growing faster than the rest and I’m running out of room in the center to tuck branches in net.

DAY 28 : Hi all , hope your past week has been a positive one with lots of love and affection. I am at the point now where flowering should be starting to show throughout the plants usually. Their are many tiny white pistil hairs showing their female genetics across the bracts of them all now so it looks like flowering has begun !!!! The FC3000 has really given them plenty of light on their perfect spectrum to develop those nice fat fan leaves and now will no doubt take them through a great flowering period. It doesnt produce much heat at all and you can touch it for a while and still not feel too much heat. Ideal for stealthy gardens.. The Tip Spreading has been continued up to this point and it is clear to see how it works on keeping the heights down. By using additional l.s.t that wont slow growth down like the leaf tucking and threading the growing tips above the larger fan leaves that are still being used like solar factories producing copious amounts of food for the developing growth tips. The stems on the majority are nice and thick from the close stacking of the nodes and their is very little popcorn to remove from lower down. I will be keeping them all as open as I can now that we are going into the stretch periods pre flower. The potential is there now to create very chunky bud stacks but I think the Strawberry Pie have ideas of bursting out more . ! They are certainly all a lot more happy than the bonsai Mexican that has emerged in #1. Still very short and half the size ( or less!) than her sister in the next bed. She looks happy and healthy now but her initial shock at the soils make up had a negative impact very early on. Overall it has been a good week for their tip spreading l.s.t and setting them up for flowering and I hope that our next update will be the bud porn early stages. Be well and prosperous growmies

2/18 Day 50: All i got to say is 👏 😮. Just look at that beauty man. Honestly she has grown perfect i mean her color is Beautiful leaves and everything just coming in 👌. I like this strain so much I went ahead and ordered more Ethos and got their White Wedding strain coming in cant wait for that. The feedings this thing has taken is on point and this is my first grow in the Air Pot and it has made me only want to use them.( Bought 3 Gallon size ones for next run with autoflowers) Well stay tuned guys will be updating again her soon. Week 2 Flowering (16/06/26 – 20/06/26) 16/06/26 (Day 10) Water: 130 L Silica: 150 ml CalMag: 70 ml Bloom: 730 ml Core: 500 ml pH: 5.8–5.9 EC: 2.6 Small defoliation to improve airflow and light penetration. 20/06/26 (Day 14) End of stretch approaching. Canopy filled evenly across all tables. Strong lateral branching with healthy green foliage. Early flower sites developing with visible pistils. Maintained irrigation and environmental parameters. Preparing to transition toward generative steering for Week 3. Observations Healthy, vigorous growth. Uniform canopy with good plant structure. No visible nutrient deficiencies or pest issues. Ready for flower bulking phase in the following week.

Started week 7 with another topping. She looks a bit of a mess ATM as I have had to bend some of her arms a full 90degrees and do some funky leaf tieing to keep everything in shape.. Nothing snapped and she seems okay. I will see how she recovers in the next day or two. Re introduced grow to her feed. I shall check back in after a few days of recovery and try to get a better pic then the blurple ones I managed earlier. Day 48 She is so strong. The topping did not bother her showing 3 cm of growth the night I topped her.. I have cleaned all old fan leaves and defoliated the mainlines. Just have 8 colas atm. I attached a ring from a plant holder to try and hold the shape. 7 of the 8 colas have grown exactly where I wanted but 1 has taken a funny turn and as a result it's grown a bit short of where I need it. I shall try to bring them all to a uniformed height then I think I'm going to let 2 more nodes grow out and if that looks like it's given me enough space I will do the final topping for 16 colas. Alright I've updated this postmortem and cure just to give an idea of what I was up to during the dry and cure weeks. This grow was a ton of work and I'm very please with the results. I learned a ton about soil and environment control and really feel like I'm gaining confidence and coming into my own as a cultivator. I've been playing a lot with ice water hash and rosin and have set some neat goals for the future like hunting ice water hash cultivars, going perpetual and expanding the amount of canopy I can work with by building a network of remote-operated satellite flower tents in friends' and family's abodes .
