They had 48 hrs of darkness, and the time has come to say goodbye to my friends. I thanked them again, spend some time with them, and under the sound of Amazonian shaman's harvest and healing songs (will post link), asked for their gifts, and apologized for taking their lives. I do this while in contact with the plants, touching, smelling them, observing every detail, no thoughts, just in the present moment. I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. How they already comforted me and kept me company in a time of painful insights about honesty, commitment, and staying true to myself. I thank them again for their wisdom and gifts, viva Santa Maria, viva Planta Maestra, may the mother of all beings give us healing and protection. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. A couple more weeks and we will have the final cured and dried weight. More photos and movies will follow, this is where we are so far!! So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! 2020-02-18 (Day 81) - I spoke too soon. This girl is stretching WAYYYY more than any other girl in the tent, I have to raise 1 light daily it seems. All in all even with the asymmetry this is the most beautiful plant I've grown. As stated in my other journals my heater crapped out and I am not buying another one so she'll have to deal with the cold night time temps. Hopefully the stretching slows down and she can start putting all her energy towards bud development. This is the thirstiest of all the other plants in the tent drinking roughly 1 gal every other day. Stay tuned to see this girl develop!

This week, the plant is feeding heavily and has grown well. I super cropped the main stem to help with the plant becoming too tall, afterwards I made some scaffolding and a sling to hold the break and prevent it from snapping. It has taken very well. Before the training I performed, I used 4 bamboo canes to stake the base. The plant had become very top heavy so this has really helped. The plant was becoming very tall so I thought this would be something to try out. Second week, everything is going well, lst adjusment and light defoliation

The plants are incredibly vigorous, healthy and have huge potential for weight gain :p

Amelie has settled in well in the new tent and has gained 4cm in height this week. As she had been standing on the piano by the window under a 7W lamp for a really long time, waiting for a tent to finally become available, she had produced a lot of leaf material. This now had to come down. On 08.03.25 I therefore lollipopped and did some defoliation on the leaf canopy. Now it is nice and airy again and can concentrate fully on flowering. Incidentally, the pistils were already visible on 03.03., 8 days after the start of flowering. I had sent the mother into flowering in the previous run and fed her with Biobizz Grow/Bloom/Calmag and Plagron Green Sensation. As I still have a sample of Biobizz Topmax here, I thought I'd give it a try and see what effect it has on the taste. It's supposed to be sweeter, I've heard.

Excited to see some growth! Had clean paper towels, a dark dvd case, a nail file and tweezers. The file was just to break the outer shell a little so they suck up water faster. I'm curious if it works!

(last alkaline irrigation, last dose of rootbastic) -The stains seems to be drops of water from the humidificator, probably they're falling there when i move the deposit to refill it. Next week i should put the light closer, make apical pruning and pull in the tent a scrog web to put a limit to the plants height because they're starting to grow willowy and the tent is only 1.80m tall. I should also make an abundant irrigation to check earth's Ph and PPM again and get the A/C ready to be plugged to the tent because temperatures are rising up exponentially outside and some local growers are starting to have issueswith that. And again on 09/02/20 Auto speed bud is pretty much an experimental strain since its so fast. 65 days from sprout to harvest. 3 are looking really good. The other 3 not so much. We'll see what happens

Seedsman Auto Lemon is the 4th round of seeds started in my perpetual garden of auto flowers. So far this plant is growing strong. I expect it to start stretching this week. I also decided to try topping this girl today and will probably bend her next week. Growing in organic composted 'super soil', no additional nutrients added yet. Also as you can see in the pictures there is a 26w CFL (100w equivalent) about 6 inches away - this also helps provide some side lighting to the older plants. Week 11: Blueberry Auto - Harvest Day & Sweet Dreams Ahead! ☀️ Yo growmies! Harvest day is coming for our Blueberry Auto queen! Those folks at Royal Queen Seeds weren't lying - 11 weeks and this beauty is ready to meet the shears! The trichomes are looking milkylicious, like a frosty breakfast of champions, with nary an amber one in sight. So, it's going to be chop chop time in a few days! A quick shoutout to the German sunshine for working its magic these past few weeks. You rock! The Blueberry Auto's smell is getting sweeter by the second, like a blueberry bush that fell headfirst into a candy factory. Seriously, I can almost taste it already! Speaking of taste, the wait is almost over, guys! This harvest is about to get chopped, dried, and smoked faster than you can say "Blueberry Dream!" Let's give her a few more days in the sun, growmies, because next week, we'll be diving into the smoking experience and letting you know if this Blueberry Auto lives up to its sweet, sweet reputation. I am finding it difficult to get my camera to take photos and videos with the proper colour hence the double videos! It is unreal how thicc these are getting!! They smell wonderful! The other two plants are starting to show a bit more of their red/purple colours too! Noticing a bit of potassium stress from feeding but since they are nearly finished (I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE THAT!) I am only going to pull back a bit. They just need to survive another 14-21 days by the looks of them!

Chemical reactions in which, a single substance splits up into two or more simpler substances are called decomposition reactions.
