Often, marijuana growers who have their plants in indoor grow tents or rooms with artificial lighting, take into account parameters such as temperature and relative humidity to maximize plants growth and bloom, thus obtaining abundant harvest with top quality flowers. As we will see later, these factors affect different processes of the plant, such as transpiration or nutrient uptake. However, we usually forget about another important factor that is related to the aforementioned ones: vapor pressure deficit or VPD. Broadly speaking, VPD is the difference between the amount of water vapor that the atmosphere is able to retain (which depends on temperature) and the amount of water vapor contained in it (relative humidity). It is usually measured in kilopascals (kPa). Providing our plants with a correct relationship between temperature and relative moisture will keep us on the right VPD parameters, increasing the plant’s activity and thus improving its growth and showing its full potential during the flowering phase. The ideal would be to adjust both parameters (temperature and humidity) to get the best possible VPD value, so that the development of plants will be amazing.In the chart above you can see the right temperature and moisture values to maximize the development of cannabis plants. The green zone shows you optimal values of VPD, in which it would be ideal to maintain the environment. The orange zone shows correct values, in which plants should not have problems to develop normally. However, red areas show values in which your plants will be very far from hit their full potential, since the relation between temperature and moisture is not optimal. With relatively high values of VPD (between 5 and 12) plants tend to open their stomata and release a considerable amount of water vapor into the environment (increasing their transpiration). This increase in transpiration results in an increase in the plant’s photosynthetic activity, which will need more nutrients and will improve its overall growth, both during growth and bloom. The best range is between 7.5 and 10.5, which we have marked in green. However, we must be careful that VPD is not too high (dark red zone) since the plant would close its stomata to avoid releasing too much water vapor to the environment, which would result in fast dehydration due to excessive transpiration. On the other hand, if VPD is too low (light red zone), the plant will also close its stomata for not releasing more water into the atmosphere, which in this case would be already saturated (it would have reached the maximum water retention capacity in a specific temperature). In this way, reducing transpiration will also reduce photosynthesis, which has a direct impact on the plant’s development and yield. That way, VPD is essential when it comes to offer the best conditions for the development of plants, also to understand its water requirements according to the nutrients used and thus adjust them correctly to meet the grower’s expectations. Things going well so far (fingers crossed) I did have a slight problem with a tray and it's pump. Hence why 2 plants smaller then the other 2. However have fixed that (put a new pump in) will keep an eye on them over next couple days..

What a journey this has been. This girl weighs(dry) 263grams plus 23 grams(untrimmed lower nugs) could have pulled out 350g if let her veg a bit longer. The taste is like sweet candy and soda a hint of citrus. The effects are as follows, creative, giggles and energetic but once its nearly gone out. *WEEK 1 DAY 6 OF FLOWER* Flipped the light to 12/12 6days ago and started scrogging I also gave her quite a huge defol 5days after the switch for better light penetration and airflow, for the first week everday ill be checking on the canopy any tops that are growing too tall compared to others will be trained underneath the scrog net, resulting in even light penetration throughout the whole canopy giving lower buds better light and of course the main reason - keeping the plants small :) started to implement the boost additives to boost K intake and i have also added a exhale co2 bag above the canopy to hopefully boost the co2 levels and promote faster, better growth! the deficiency i mentioned in the last week of veg, is not looking to get worse or worsening hmmmm strange effected leaves have been removed and overall she looks great! i dont wanna get to ahead of myself yet! as we still have a long way to go, but for my first run as from up to know i am pretty happy with myself and the growth of plant, i see so many growers with basic and even really bad deficiencys/diseases from early growth! even throughout there whole growth cycle... yes i have noticed a few weird things throughout the cycle but nothing extreme no NPK deficiencys so i am really pleased with this run! roll on the next ;) Wish me further look guys, Lets Grow!

The buds are getting bigger and icy, it seems Delta 9 did its job good. You can smell the fruity odor coming from the bubba buds. I hope they get a little bit fattier to compensate the short height. Can´t wait to taste them :))

As you can see, our macro lens arrived, we were able to take several photos and see the trichomes, we had never seen them so close before. We also noticed that many pistils have turned brown in the last days of this week but the trichomes are clear yet. The smell is getting stronger, reminds us of fresh fruits, mango and a little citrus. We are excited, she is healthy and smells good, but a little concerned with the development of buds and if they are within the standards for this week. Despite having many trichomes and the pistils turning brown, we are not noticing a significant fattening of the flowers (correct us if we are wrong). hahaha, noob stuff =)
