Hello Diary, White Widow has finished its fourth week of flowering, 7 weeks have passed since the beginning of the vegetation. Now I can already say that we are slowly approaching the end, from next week I will be painting her on a black background. What can I say, White Widow looks great. The flowers are very hard to the touch although they are not that big if I compare them to her roommates on the "Farm". Although smaller in volume, the flowers bend the branches slightly downwards with their weight. The main cola rises above the branches, the flowers on it are hard as a rock and full of trichomes. The smell is now very intense, when I open the grow box, the smell takes over the whole room. The leaves are a healthy green color, it is obvious that the new nutrients Bio Grow and Bio Bloom Fertilizer are doing their job. The conditions on the Farm are good, the temperature is around 28 degrees while the humidity is below 50%. Watering is still almost every two days, they still require a lot of water. I continued to add CalMg and Bio Bloom Fertilizer with each watering. I am very happy to see how White Widow looks, all three plants on the Farm have far exceeded my expectations. White Widow has responded nicely to my efforts to provide her with the best conditions I can. Here is a quick overview of the past week. 06/09/2024 - Day 44. Watering. I prepared 9 liters of water, added CalMg and Bio Bloom Fertilizer and lowered the p.H. to 6.0. With that amount of water I watered all three plants on the "Farm". 08/09/2024 - Day 46. Watering. I repeated the same procedure as two days earlier. 10/09/2024 - Day 48. Watering. Same procedure. 11/09/2024 - Day 49. End of the 7th week from the beginning of the vegetation, or the fourth week of flowering. Photographing and measuring the height of the plants. White Widow - Day 49. - 69 cm. Blue Shark is looking fab! Still a darker green than everyone else. There are 2 videos this week, one where I explain how my plan for a tomato roof using materials I already had didn't work out, and the 2nd being about the rogue who grew in my pea bed (whom I affectionately call "Rogue One") who has been raised almost exclusively on my homemade compost. I had people who were concerned last year when I made my own compost tea from the compost in my pile. People were concerned about bacteria, nutrient profile, etc. I feel like a lot of people get really regimented in their feeding, and they sort of forget that these are plants and they can adapt. They take what they need if it's available. I moved away from using mineral salts this year because you have to be careful with so many of these fertilizers so that you don't burn the plant, you have to flush it so you don't get a harsh smoke, mineral salts causing lockout, etc. If you stick with products that are natural you don't really have to worry about nute burn. You don't have to flush for an extended period of time before harvest. You don't have salts building up in the soil that are detrimental that you have to periodically flush and then add beneficial microbes back in. There is another way.

This week is going along great... I left Friday the 14th for my brother's cottage... So I matter sure to give her a whole cup of water... Came home to lots of growth!

All looking a little bit sick this week bit root bound in those tiny cups I think. I've repotted into 3.5 litre pots see if they perk up be under 600w hps next week so they shold shoot right up in no time

I’ve been dealing with an undiagnosed issue presenting with discoloured leaves. The buds however do not seem bothered as they develop happily or at least they appear to. On day 77 of WW I noticed cloudy trichomes! This is strange however as they are only in week 6 of flower. Not sure how long the cloudy to amber transition is but crop king notes an 8 week flower while growers report 8-10 weeks.

Sept 10th This week was windy and finally some decent shower. Nature was begging for it but as we all know it was a headache for me personally. I went to visit the girls and noticed how the wind was taking its toll. Killer Kush (the biggest) was banking 15 degrees and the Outdoor Grapefruit was acting as a windscreen for Maroc. She needed some more defoliating to prevent moisture getting stuck in tight places. I pulled the net further down to improve airflow...a little to much. When i pinned the lower ring to the ground a big branch snapped😪 Emergency repair was done and I believe she will be all right. She was reinforced and i build a nice tent over the wound to prevent water coming in. Open from the bottom still alowing air to pass underneath.

I'm super happy and really looking forward to trying the Sherbelato. But I'll have to be patient for another 2 weeks

Sunday, January 17 Fed 1/2ga to one plant and 3/4ga to the other two. 7tsp of Grow Big and 2.5tsp of Bud Candy mixed in 2ga of water @6.4pH. Plants continuing to stretch, fed Grow Big to try and add some nitrogen. Thursday, January 21 Fed about 3/4ga to each plant. At a ratio of 2 teaspoon per gallon of Bud Candyat 6.4 pH. Saturday, January 22 Fed plants 3/4 ga @6.3pH 2tsp/ga of Bud Candy. I did a defoliation of all 3 plants and decided to flip to a 12/12 light schedule to see if I can trigger blooming. I began last night and I will continue to do so and hopefully see results sometime soon. I’ve looked up the issues of auto flowers not flowering and being “stuck” in the process. I did these two techniques(defoliation and light schedule)to try and trigger flowering. Hopefully we’ll see some results🙏 As always, stay safe and happy growing💚✌️🌱

7/2 Last week it was extremely hot (80's-90's) with cold nights. We had a severe thunderstorm last night and it's raining like crazy today. I didn't spend time in the garden as it was pouring. However I defoliated yesterday briefly. I had maybe a half dozen leaves yellow and die a couple days after the organicide application. They were mostly the largest oldest fan leaves most infected with pm. A couple smaller interior leaves yellowed and died as well but they were the leaves most infected. I assume that's normal. As I defoliated I noticed my first aphid of the season. I saw a few dead ones the organicide killed and a couple that were alive. Aphids aren't a big deal. They'll be evicted soon enough. I haven't seen one spot of pm though since the application. Maybe a little on a dead leaf but it seems to be working good. Didn't take pictures today but needed one to update the diary. Trying to upload videos but they take forever. 7/3 Ridiculously hot all last week. Extremely hot yesterday then a severe thunderstorm but it cleared to 90 degrees with 90%rh. This environment is a fungal nirvana. Still a slight smell from the organicide. I'm glad I used it though. I threw away some more leaves but this is the time that starts happening anyway. Before the stretch. With the ideal conditions I saw WPM rear it's head again. Only this time the organicide seemed to still have a residue. The PM only infected the super old biggest fan leaves and a few tiny tiny leaves on the very interior of the plant. I didn't know I had aphids but I've found a few dead on the underside of leaves I defoliated. So it seems to be working. My plants are growing towards the sun (partially due to my tarps which I need to be legal) which make airflow harder to maintain. My dad gave away my pallets this year. I had planned to put bags and supports on pallets with some sort of wheel so I could spin them. Oh well I'll do that next year in my new location. I have also found moth holes in couple leaves so BT it will still be needed. If videos didn't take so long to upload I would have a bunch. Happy growing. 7/5 Watered lightly (as it had been 90's) before feeding three gallons to the garden. Noticed some telltale leafhopper signs on a 9lb kush. The organicide seems to be doing a decent job of keeping PM at bay. The blueberry is now the worst it seems. I'm planning on another application before I try anything heavier. The fishy smell is now totally gone. Plants seem healthy and are a nice dark green. I have had some problems that have effected my ability to fully care for my girls. I have some defoliation I need to do. I also see moths sometimes in the morning plus the pm and the random munch. I guess that's to be expected outside but I need to get on top of this shit. I also have more LST I could be doing. 7/6 Rained all night and still off and on. Can't see any pm but I've found a few spots on the blueberry that could be septoria. I'm going to hit them either tonight or tomorrow with the organicide and if it doesn't work I may try a sulfer based fungacide. Took a few pictures. I need to defoliate as well. 7/7 Uploaded some duplicate pics accidentally. If I could've created the perfect environment for fungal infections I don't think I could've done better than yesterday. Hence the organicide. I was surprised it wasn't pronounced and only a little here and there. Also saw leaf hopper and pillar damage so hopefully this will straighten that out. Blueberry seems weak in it's stalk. I'm not sure if the wind is blowing it against that hard metal circle around it. It may have septoria. If it does I'll have to switch to something different or junk the plant. 7/8 This sucks. I can see signs of leaf septoria on the GDPs. This is definitely not a strain for the Maine climate. It's not resilient enough against diseases. This year has been particularly bad with 40 degree temp swings and rain then bright hot sun. I couldn't engineer better conditions. I appears senescence starts at the same time looking back over the past four years. However maybe that's just the life cycle of the earwigs. Oh yeah. I raked the inside of the grow bag with my hand and AT LEAST a half dozen earwigs came out RIGHT FROM THE SOIL IN THE BAG. I dealt with these prehistoric bastards last year and lost half my harvest. They eat other insects but the spread disease like crazy and they DO eat your plant while leaving behind the worst bacteria and plant disease. I have research to do. Like I said. This sucks. I'm changing locations next year but I need some help dealing with the septoria and the earwigs or I'll be fucked again. I defoliated anything that looked suspect. Still need to improve airflow.

Those two permanent marker plants are still kinda short, but they're finally starting to take off. It's cool to see them getting bushy. They're looking good so far. Well, it's Christmas again. This year feels a little different, though. Maybe it's the snow blanketing everything, or the way the tree lights up the whole living room. Either way, it's cozy and warm, even when it's freezing outside. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Santa brings. I hope I get that new video game I've been wanting. But most of all, I can't wait to spend time with my family. We always have so much fun This past week was a good one for the plants. They started the first week of their stretch, and they've already grown a decent amount. I can really see them filling out. It's cool to watch them grow so fast. I can't wait to see how big they get by the end I always get a little worried at this stage, like they're not gonna get as big as I want them to. But then I remember how they always end up surprising me. By the end, they're always perfect.
