This week the Jack Herer has exploded. The branches have become dense, swollen buds with lots of pistils that are turning orange. The smell has become much more intense and citrusy, however, I think it is further along that it should be. So far this seedling is growing nicely. I hope it continues like this

Seedlings 🌱 are doing great! They are looking very healthy and happy. Routine this week was was just checking the humidifier every morning, and spritzing with my spray bottle x2 daily (very small amounts) starting at the base of the plant, but also making sure to get the exterior edges to allow those roots to be searching for water. Changed the light cycle to 18/6 around day 7, and also adjusted my BloomPlus BP 2500 to have 140 watts at the wall. Didn’t lower the light as the increased wattage seemed to slow down the stretch they initially had. Still using my small 250 watt heater behind my intake fan to draw some heat in and keep the tent nice and cozy, even during lights out (about 75-76 *F) By day 14, I started to water with a measuring cup, still using my 1 ml of Sensi Cal/Mag plus. Watering only about 1/4 cup of water all around the pot, and will wait until the soil is dry’ish (the old finger poke) before I start to increase the watering amount gradually. Sometime around day 21 is when I will begin to introduce some nutrients, I will be using the Advanced Nutrients- Grow, Micro and Bloom along with the Sensi Cal Mag plus. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦❤️🌱😎💨

D21 - Start of week three of veg for the second girl, while it is only the start of week two for the first girl as I had to replant her. I will probably do the first topping on the second girl this week but I'll see in a few days where she's at. I gave both girls around one liter of water @ pH 5.9. A bit on the low side as I used too much pH down but it'll be fine for one watering. D24 - Yesterday I switched my light from the seedlings program to the veg program, and I'm now reading around 500-600 PPFD across the canopy. On the high end for sure, so let's see how the girls handle it. However, the daytime temp in the tent jumped up to around 30 degrees C after I switched the lights. #tinytentproblems I also added some support to #1 as she has a relatively thin stem but large leaves, so the oscillating fan keeps knocking her around. The second girl also initially had a slender stem, so I guess it is their genetics. (#1 is 12 cm tall and 15 cm wide, while #2 is 20 cm tall and 35 cm wide.) I will need to top the second girl this week as she grows a lot each day. I'm considering mainlining her but haven't made up my mind yet. I gave both girls around one liter of water @ pH 6.5. D25 - A couple of days ago, switching the lights to the veg program made the cover crop explode and turn into a jungle. I decided to trim down the red clover to increase the airflow around the girls and reduce water use. I watered the girls only yesterday, but they were already thirsty again, so I think that the clover was drinking quite a bit as well. After cutting back the clover, I gave each girl around 1.2-liters of water @ pH 6.5. D27- Today was the last day in week three of veg for the second girl and the last day in week two for the first girl. I really should have topped the second girl already, so that will need to be done as soon as possible. She is 26 cm tall and 38 cm wide, while the first girl is 13 cm tall and 27 cm wide. Yesterday, I removed the support from the first girl as her stem had gotten more robust, so it was no longer necessary. Today, I started brewing compost tea (worm castings, neem meal, kelp meal, biochar, rock dust, algal limestone, bentonite, and molasses) which I will leave overnight and feed to the girls tomorrow.

Last week went well. She is stacking on the bud mass and is looking great. Her smell is very unique and her buds look like they will be massive. Not much else to say about her besides I had to tie up her buds because they are getting too heavy and were bending the branches. Looking forward to seeing what she produces and becomes. Day 99 Flower 37 Remaining 32-37 days PINEAPPLE SURPRISE😵😵 well not really, I've been kind of waiting lol it definitely reeeeks in the tent now and shows just how good this carbon filter is working! The smell is very unique to any other cannabis i've smelt although I'm curious to find out what it will smell like after proper curing. I hope it tastes as good as it smells too. The resin is just incredible, I cut a couple nodes that were really struggling and even with moderate resin and crystals compared to other colas they made my fingers incredibly sticky, i get the whole gorilla glue thing a little better now. I cant believe how you can see the trichs so clearly with the naked eye and the bulbs look huge. pocket scope arriving today, interested in seeing the trichs under scope. I've done a little defoil here and there to keep good air flow and light pen. Again when doing this my fingers soooo sticky, normal to most of you i'm sure but new to me! No real issues. I noticed some more tips discolored so I dialed back the nutes a little to about 1700, I'll keep around there for now. I dont expect the plants to grow much taller if at all but hopfully these buds keep plumping up. The fattest few buds are HUGE but even just the average size is really starting to swell. Do the buds keep swelling for a couple more weeks? hope so lol If anyone has their own tips for harvest and curing they wanna add in comments I'm all ears. Some great advice down there already, amazing mates! Something I have started considering is what strain to put outside in a couple months, auto or photo, probably both and compare them. Have a couple ideas I wanna try out, have a little fun, 4 plants going outside end of may. Thinking I will start vegging new plants right after and hopfully get the plants about a month old before I send them outside into the wild. But thats a different discussion all together then this lol Hopfully its smooth sailing the next few weeks here. I'm ok with this routine for a little. I'm at a cross roads with my excitement as I cant wait for harvest but right now they keep plumping and swelling so much I dont want them to stop lol also I dont think there is anything more peaceful and calming then getting just stoned AF and and staring at these beautiful ladies. This week, I gave my plants more fertilizer to test if they show any signs of burning. Now, I'm stressed out! I think I should give myself some seaweed to relieve the stress 😂 The girls show signs of calcium deficiency. I sprayed a small amount of calcium and magnesium on them to help them recover faster. I’m not sure why the new leaves are very pale. Could they be lacking iron? I think the high soil moisture might be causing issues with iron absorption, but I’m not completely sure. I’ll wait and see what happens this week. Considering that I use regular water, I expected them not to have a calcium deficiency.

Harvest day 70 since time switch to 12 / 12 h Hey guys :-) Finally it's time 💚 The lady is done the large leaves have been removed and hung upside down to dry in the dark drying room. You can now stay there for 13-15 days at a temperature of 18-20 degrees and 55-62% humidity. After 13-15 days it is neatly trimmed by hand and placed in jars with boveda packs 62. After 4 weeks Boveda 58% come in and are ready for testing ;-). After everything has been cut cleanly, the last update comes with the smoke report and the finished pictures. Let's get to the plant 💚. First of all I would like to compliment Green House for this genetics. Unfortunately, the rating system at Growdiaries is a bit strange because I have to give the stars before the Smoke Report and in the end it might have led to more stars in terms of taste. The growth was great from start to finish. She had no problems at all and also had no problems with animals 👍. I'm amazed at the great smell the beautiful buds give off😀. Of course I cut cuttings and if the taste is as good as the smell it will be grown again ☺️. A final report comes with the Smoke Report.
