This grow had ups and downs and I really learned a lot, thanks to everyone who shared their wisdom! Considering how very little I fed the plant, I'm surprised she even made it to harvest. The majority of her bud was mainly in the one man cola that made up 95% of plant. I didn't have much trimming to do at all. The buds are more airy than I would like, but probably my fault. She dried in 4 days and have been curing for 9 days. I took a small sample off of the main bud to get an early taste so I could complete the diary. The smell has a spicy, berry, and pine aroma. There is an earthy smell to it that is fading during the cure. I think they dried a little fast as the humidity has been very low. The first hit (vaporizer) had a piney taste and was a little heavy. I think it's just still to moist on the inside and hope it thins out over time. The flavor turned to the burnt popcorn taste rather quickly, but there was still some green in the chamber, so assume more curing will help. Overall, I am happy with my first grow. I was able to yield enough to last me to next harvest!

Gave her a good defoliation this week along with spreading out the branches a little. Couldnt bend the main cola over as it is still recovering from the damage. Overal she seems to be healthy. Been removing leaves here and there and she doesnt seem to mind at all.

Freaked out this week cause I couldn't smell the plants anymore. Turns out I caught covid, yay! Not much content because I was resting up mostly. Getting plants ready for chop, many seed packs say you can chop by week 8 of flower - that's actually the earliest one can harvest. If given the time like a home grow, one can wait 1-2 weeks longer to harvest. Also in the cases of sativas like mine, they can flower for up to 12-16 weeks.

Hey friends,little plant update. All three doing very well and the smell from this plants already coming in very nice. The Rainbow Melon (in the front of the tent) was stretching a bit higher than the papaya sherbert (left back corner) and the Gorilla Melon (right back corner) so i installed a scrog net and maintained the canopy between them.

11/2/24 - Start of Week 9 11/5/24 - Swapping out Bulky B for Full Tilt. The fruity smell is starting to come out but "fruity" as in it smells like a real fruit. -2ml Cal-Mag -1.5g B1 -1.5g B2 -2g Full Tilt in 1 gallon water

Switching nutrients to "Mid Bloom" ratios as of Sunday (I've been starting and ending my weeks on Thursday, so this is like a half week of early, half week of mid).

WEEK 2 DAY 14 Since last week the babies have taken off! They didn’t have much light until yesterday when I added another 100w led and since then I’ve seen a huge difference ! They are looking super healthy the roots said fuck the pot and grew right through it I’m actually super interested in seeing how these grow up.. The 3 clones that were separate last week are now moved into one single pot to further develop the experiment. They are on the same feed as the mother with flora grow/micro/bloom and cal-mag . And In the last picture you can see my ghettos man way of cloning .. going to see which 2 out of 4 are better rooted and I will move those to a pot in about a week or so. **I am glad I saved pics. from weeks 1-3 because I was lagging in getting this account setup** - with that's being said, the "girls" (speaking it into existence) are coming along quite well. My last grow I used Green Planet's: Medi-One from veg - harvest, and although the overall turnout was pretty good, I just felt like I was a little heavy handed. This time I am trying something a little different and I'll be feeding the plants coconut water and potentially: -rice water** -banana peel water -boiled egg shell water -onion skin water* I am trying to do this as organic/affordable as possible, and although I haven't seen many cannabis forums talk about these natural fertilizers in depth (if at all), I have found that they are quite common practices in Indian gardening (if anyone is interested I'll link the YouTube videos). I can only imagine that these techniques are not isolated but, most likely common in Eastern gardening in general.... *if anyone can confirm this let me know Also, I did go ahead and top 3 of the 4 plants at the 5th node. I am going to hold off on topping the runt for a while and will go ahead and solely focus on LST for now. I don't want o stress her any further. **Lastly I am not the type of grower that measures things and has schedules, I admire that style of regiment and see it being beneficial commercially... but this is ENTIRELY about observation and the pleasure of growing personally so, forgive me if I don't have detailed notation lol... They are moving quickly these days! I’m using FF nutrients, then just water, then a mixture of molasses, recharge, and epsom salt, and then water again. Not sure if I’m overdoing it but they seem happy.
