White Widow - 3 weeks

Plants are 5 weeks old and I decided to switch to flowering for week 6. Plants are all in good shape and the screen is in place to train them to fill the tent. I will be changing out the veg bulb this week and installing the 1000w HPS bulb for flowering. I’m still playing with the light rail speeds and pause times but I seem to have it dialled in now I think. I will also be doing another water change and adding flower nutrients sometime this week. ****Added 7 gal of fresh water to the reservoir on day 38. Added full strength Remo lineup for flowering to the 7 gal added to reservoir. I started to tie down/tuck the larger branches to the net as well.

Alien vs Triangle is looking great, I think she's fully recovered from all of the HST abuse I put her through. She has some interesting Bonsai-esque bends. Bud sites are getting frosty too!👍 She's back-left in the group pics.

The grow is going well and there are very big differences between all 3 plants. The height: Plant 1 (left): 115 cm tall Plant 2 (middle): 84 cm tall Plant 3 (right): 130 cm tall As 2 plants stretched all the way into the LED light, I have now tied them to the back of the tent. This results in the top colas being pulled sideways away from the center of the LED and reducing the light intensity. The top colas closest to the LED have shown some signs of stress. Slight burning and foxtailing of the top colas is the result of this. However the problem should be solved as they now receive substantially less light. The plants are also very different in their development. Plant 1 (left): still is full of white hairs, bud development is a little slower, moderate trichrome production. I think this plant will take the longest to finish. Plant 2 (middle): most hairs have turned orange, most bud development of all 3 plants and good trichrome production. I feel this plant will be finished the earliest. Plant 3 (right): a mix of white and orange hairs, bud development and trichrome production is ok. I feel this plant will finish in-between the other 2 plants. So far I am happiest with the middle plant (plant 2). It has the nicest bud development and overall looks the prettiest so far. However, in the end we will have to see how the end product turns out. The prettiest plant isn't always the best smoke. So let's see what these ladies do towards the end of flower. Week 4 Topped all 6 plants on the 4th nod. Stopped feeding voodoo juice and increased dose of bio-grow to 2ml/L plus added Alg-A-mic 2ml/L.

Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of veg. Sure are growing now. The roots are liking the compost they found. Got my hydro system up and running in here. Last year I had some small tips on the hydro leads and was giving 15 minutes of solution per day. I've got different, new tips this year, a lot more open. The landscapers call them 1/2 circle. I had been watering with rainwater and having the runoff run back to the reservoir. Good thing I checked it, it was; 7 ph and 1800 ppm. Adjusted it to 6.2 ph and 1200 ppm. I can give the same amount of solution in 2 minutes now, so my 15 gallon reservoir will last a week. It's not quite enough liquid to have them fully watered, so I feel with my fingers and when dry enough I give a gallon or two of water until it runs out and back into the reservoir (the green hose is tray drainage back to the reservoir). The plants loved it last year and I'll do the same thing. Got the plants spreading out now. I can see the mainlines spreading under the rungs of the table. I got some bamboo from Canadian Tire and filled the space between tables. I might get some more and make something to hold the budding branches up (like the soccer net but with bamboo). From delicate sprouts to fast-branching vegetative bushes, they’ve thrived under a mix of Aptus nutrition and precisely managed environments. By Week 4 of veg, their symmetry and vigor showed just how stable and legendary these genetics really are true to the BlueBerry heritage: Afghan strength, Thai influence, and purple notes hidden in their DNA. Now, here in flower, they’re 57 cm tall, nearly twins in their morphology, and fully embracing their transition into bloom. ⸻ 🌸 Week 2 in Bloom – Shifting Morphology This week the girls are changing shape, stacking nodes tighter, pushing pistils, and clearly leaving veg behind. Their body language is all flower now: • Branches are stretching with intention. • Nodes are clustering toward bud formation. • Pistils are reaching, glowing under the LEDs. Despite fewer photos this week (a busy one outside the garden), a room tour video captures it all the environment, the gear, the girls in context. Las Amaretto Tarmac se cosecharon esta semana, la novena 12/12h. Un olor muy muy intenso afrutado, es necesario la utilización de filtro de carbono.

On flush regime, water only, no nutrients, only a soil cleaning solution. Still has some clear trichomes, a few milky and no browns. Guess it has to flower 1 or 2 weeks more. Full history of the setup on week 1.

Would definitely recommend for an easy grow. Takes forever due to 100% sativa genetics but well worth the grow. Smells just like cannalopes with a hint of cocoa and a strong dank/sour odor. High is fantastic starting and feeling heaviest right behind the eyes/sinuses. Spreads to extremities in a slight relax feeling. The taste and smell of the smoke is extremely smooth and tastes like the sour + cantaloupes. The buds have a lot of shades of green but are predominantly dark covered in crystals. Smell isn’t extremely strong in bag but once buds begin breaking apart it is almost unbearable and resin makes it hard to break apart by hand do grinder is needed.

Harvested 55g dried after about 5 days of drying. It’s been curing for about a week now so I’ve had a chance to try it. It’s obviously still a little harsh and doesn’t taste optimal since I’ve barely started curing, but it does burn well and really packs a punch. I don’t know the true THC % but I’ve got a pretty high tolerance and this stuff keeps up with dispensary weed I’ve got from before I started growing. I’d say it’s close to 20%. Got 2 more clones of this strain growing so I’m hoping for an even bigger harvest from those. I want more of this stuff lol.

Harvested these ladies at day 68 of flower. Minus the tops from plant #2. Absolutely stunning genetics! All the plants expressed a range of pinks, reds and purples. I’ve not just experienced anything like it to this extent. All the plants share a mixture of different terpenes, but predominantly Orange, Cherry and Gas. Plant #1 smells of Trop Cherry Plant #2 smells like heavy sour Gas Plant #3 smells like Orange oil & Gas Plant #4 smells like Orange oil & Gas Plant #5 smells like Cherry & Orange Plant #6 smells of heavy Cherry Gas with subtle Orange tones. Plant #7 smells like heavy Orange Gas I’ve ended up leaving plant #5 to keep flushing with the new group 🤷‍♂️😸 I’ve added a video of a dry bud from plant #2 The second video is plant #6. It’s been a really fun grow, I’ve got clones of the plants I want to run again so expect future diaries. More slow growth. Will be topping as soon as possible. Hopefully now there are more leaves, things should speed up.

Day 44 (Jan 10 - Flower Day 10) More of a maintenance day. The focus was keeping the canopy flat and even while the plant continues to push. This is where the tent starts feeling smaller every day. Day 45 (Jan 11 - Flower Day 11) At 02:30 I measured EC 1.466 (1466 µS/cm). At noon, after a top-off (this time with fertilizer included), I landed at EC 1.480 and pH 6.19. Day 46 (Jan 12 - Flower Day 12) At 12:15 I measured EC 1.512. After topping off I ended up at pH 5.75 and EC 1.462. Later I decided to push the reservoir strength up, briefly saw a higher number, then did the right thing: I waited for proper mixing. After 15 minutes of circulation, the stable reading was EC 1.612 with pH 5.88. Canopy-wise she’s starting to look like a literal square under the trellis - which is both hilarious and satisfying. Day 47 (Jan 13 - Flower Day 13) At 00:30 I measured EC 1.618 and pH 6.30. I topped off ~1.5 L of pH’d water and rechecked after circulation: EC ~1.620 and pH ~6.06. After that I adjusted pH down to 5.69. Day 48 (Jan 14 - Flower Day 14) At 00:30 (before top-off): EC 1.622 and pH 6.16. Water level drop was about 2 L out of roughly 9 L, so definitely a big drink. I decided to top off with nutrients this time. After the top-off and ~15 minutes of circulation, the reservoir landed at pH 5.74 and EC 1.720. Canopy / space notes (Week summary) The canopy is getting extremely even and wide — genuinely “square” under the trellis. I’ve been leaf tucking and I also weaved two tops sideways under the net to keep the canopy flat. Height management is now a real factor: the plant is around 43 cm tall even while being woven into the trellis. The good news is I can now rig the light up to about 90 cm above the bucket, which gives much more breathing room than I originally thought. Week takeaway The plant is clearly in a strong stretch phase (big daily growth, big water consumption). The reservoir has been stable when I’m careful with mixing time, and the trellis work is paying off — the canopy is filling the tent efficiently and staying controllable.
