🌱 Grow Diary Update — Sour Diesel Week 4 | First week of flower (12/12) This week, the spotlight is on Sour Diesel, because she clearly stood out from the rest of the room — and when one plant speaks louder than the others, we listen. ⸻ 📍 Quick recap (so everyone is on the same page) • Sour Diesel just entered week 6 / first week of flower • She was running on Autopots with mineral-only feed • Organics and amendments were removed from the Autopot system • The rest of the room handled this change fine • She did not She started showing: • Droopy posture • Loss of vigor • Early deficiency-type signals • A general “I’m not comfortable” look Important detail: 👉 She was the only plant reacting like this. ⸻ 🌿 Why this happened (the key lesson) Sour Diesel is an old-school genetic, and not all strains respond the same way to abrupt system changes. In her case: • She was previously thriving with organics + minerals • Removing organics reduced: • Nutrient complexity • Biological buffering • Availability of secondary elements • This happened right at the transition into flower, when demand increases sharply On top of that, we had environmental pressure: • Outside temps: ~4°C • Outside humidity: ~98% • Room stabilized at: 21°C / 58% RH Those conditions are acceptable — but combined with: • Feed change • Flower transition • Genetic sensitivity …it was enough for her to react. ⸻ 🚿 Why we took her off Autopots Autopots are great — but they’re not universal. We removed her from the Autopot regimen because: • She needed immediate, tailored feeding • She wasn’t responding well to mineral-only delivery • Hand-feeding lets us: • Adjust EC gently • Reintroduce organics • Observe response feed by feed This wasn’t a system failure — it was a plant-specific decision. ⸻ Current feeding strategy (now) • Medium: hand-fed (off Autopots) • EC: 1.43 • pH: 5.9 • Full recipe: organics + minerals • Added: CalMag Pro Why CalMag Pro? • We’re using rainwater + humidifier water, which is very soft • Low calcium & magnesium availability can show fast in flower • This is both: • A corrective move for her • A preventive move for the whole room Meanwhile, the rest of the Autopot system is running: • 2.29 EC • pH 6.0 • Mineral-only • Other plants are stable and happy ⸻ 🌬️ Environment (current) • Lights: stable • Airflow: good • Temp: ~21°C • RH: ~58% Nothing extreme — but this shows how context + timing + genetics matter more than numbers alone. ⸻ 🔮 What we expect (and what we don’t) What we expect: • Gradual recovery, not overnight • Leaf posture improving first • New growth responding before old leaves • Stability over speed What we don’t expect: • Instant “fix” • Old damage to reverse • Her to behave exactly like the rest of the room From now on, she’ll simply need a bit more attention than her sisters — and that’s okay. ⸻ 🧠 The bigger takeaway This is a perfect example of why: • There is no single “best way” • Systems are tools, not rules • Genetics always get a vote • Listening beats forcing We’re not chasing perfection — we’re responding with intention. We’ll keep monitoring her closely over the coming week and adjust calmly, step by step. As always, this is just our experience and observation — not a universal recipe. Eccoci qui... Finalmente dopo uno stop per il lavoro torno ad aggiornare il diario con il capitolo finale... Questa piccola mi ha stupito per il forte odore che emana è stato davvero un casino tagliare e seccare questa varietà in quanto l'odore è stato davvero pazzesco, colori come voglio io con foglie molte scure violacee. Super resinosa e compatta per non parlare dell'odore, una cosa speciale!!! Sicuramente verrà riproposta!!! I'm very happy to say that I had 100% germination rate across the board👏 All my ladies started to come up on April 24th, including an extra! In the few years that I've been growing, I've probably started around 50+ seedlings, but having 2 seedlings come out of 1 seed is new for me. I'm curious to know if anyone else has come across this. Regardless, it's pretty cool and I'm happy. My only concern is how viable the 2nd seedling will be. I feel like I need to wait until she's stronger before I try extricating her from her twin, since she's a few days behind in this very sensitive stage. But at the same time I don't want to wait too long because their root systems will only become more intertwined. We'll just have to see. Once these babies began getting upright on April 25 I put them under 3 Litever 24v grow light strips. On April 27th they were hitting the roof of the humidity dome so I took them off the heat mat and put them in a south facing window for the morning and put them under the lights in the afternoon. The next day on 4/28 it was absolutely gorgeous out, 60F clear and sunny so I put them in the south flower bed in front of my house and they drank in the sun. The 29th was overcast and chilly so they stayed in the house under the lights. Same thing today. No nutes this week, as the potting soil still has a little more to give, but they'll be getting some Nitrogen soon. See y'all next week👋

Up up and ... one more week here We go ❤️🤘 so they are grooving hehehehe i'm focus on producing good amount of trichomes and tryin to bring some colors to them. i reduse nutrients and stabilized my condictions . i like this AC thing lol I brouth down my temps to77 day time and 65 nigth time, humidety is the one i'm having problens bringing it down but is not too bad any way is going up and down and arround 55% so is ok Peace out and stay happy and safe D

Week 5: 8/24 we fed the kids for the first time!! We followed the instructions for Gaia Green All Purpose application and went ahead and grabbed the Bloom fertilizer as well, so we are ready for that transition. We did top all our auto flowers except one and they slowed down their growth a bit, but we have two strong main stems on all of them, so I'm excited to see how those fare outside. I've heard that everyone lives by Kelp, so we got some liquid seaweed and have been adding that to our waterings along with the Miicrobial Mass Pro. Considering grabbing the roots organic terp tea bloom boost or the Athena bloom set-up to see how we feel about this synthetic vs. organic fertilizer discussion and to get some growth happening on these autos. We started LST, but I wish there was more info on like what i'm supposed to be doing fr - feels like I'm just bending the stem 😳 (but we will see how that shakes out)... WELP! That's all folks. Los cogollos están densos, resinosos y bien formados, con un aroma dulce y afrutado que se intensifica durante el secado. Los tricomas son abundantes, lo que promete una buena cantidad de resina y un fuerte contenido de THC. La planta ha mostrado una buena resistencia a plagas y enfermedades durante su cultivo, y la producción ha sido generosa. El sabor es delicioso, con una mezcla de frutas tropicales y un toque de melón, que es lo que caracteriza a esta cepa. En cuanto al efecto, es potente pero equilibrado, ideal para relajarse sin sentirse completamente somnoliento. En resumen, una excelente cosecha tanto en cantidad como en calidad.

End of Week 4 (for those following along at home) and there are trichomes everywhere! Both of these plants are putting out sugar like there is no tomorrow. Velvet Moon is smelling a lot like tropical punch drink (Holy Punch x Dosi Dos) and it’s delicious. The Black Apple has a much weaker smell which isn’t really defined for the nose yet. I stripped a few more side branches this week as things were tangling up as there was too much going on. Both look very happy and have plenty of air flowing through them now. BAH is slightly taller than VM. Both stretched approximately double their height and not much more. That may have been due to me topping the plants 3 days before flip to try and keep heights limited. It worked well as i am at the exact distance to the light i wanted to be for 100% power (50cm). BAH has has some stems go a pink/res colour but no other plant changes. It’s hot here due to summer so been running the girls at night and they sleep during the day. Looking forward to documenting the bud development over the next few weeks as these stack weight and start maturing. I think this will be a 10 week flower minimum.

The buds are becoming every day bigger and hairy and some trichomes starting to develop quite nice. The Smell is not so strong at the moment perfectly manageable by the carbon filter. I'm gonna flush with 20 l at 1.2 EC and ph 6.6 and letting her dry for 5 days and then ill give her a boost of 1.8 EC so that lots of oxygen goes to the roots.

Umstellung auf 12/12 erfolgte diese Woche. Die Pflanzen haben sich gut vom CalMag-Mangel erholt und zeigen bereits Vorblüte. Wachstum ist kräftig, Blattfarbe gesund. Das SCROG-Netz wurde abgesenkt, die Triebe werden weiterhin sanft unter das Netz geführt, um eine gleichmäßige Canopy zu erreichen. Zwei Pflanzen sind etwas höher. Aktuell wird mit je 1ml/L BioGrow BioBloom und Calmag gedüngt (PH 6.2). Tag 21 Blüte gibt es dann ein ordentliches lollipopping und eine moderate Entlaubung. Soweit bin ich sehr zufrieden. Bin gespannt auf den Stretch, letzten Grow haben die Frosted Guavas sich nicht stark gestreckt. Allerdings sind die Bedingungen aktuell besser. Keine Trauermücken, effizientere Lampe und stabileres Klima.
