Day 1 of Veg!: Both plants have shed their seeds and are turning towards the light. I was a little concerned with how they looked at first, very white, but I didn’t notice they broke ground for about 24hrs and the lights were off. They’ve got lots of color now! Day 3:These 2 are coming along awesome! Almost have the blumat system perfectly, soil is staying perfectly moist and the girls are loving it. Added a air stone to the reservoir of the Blumat System to ad oxygen and move the water around. Day 5: Plants are doing great. Steady growth right now. Still adjusting the blumat watering system to get it just right, but I’m almost there! It’s getting a little hotter during the day. In the high 70’s, but I’m okay with that for now. Lights are now at 75% Day 7: So my other seed never germinated. Put a new one in paper towel to see if it will go. Only problem is it will be 2 weeks behind by the time it comes up. I was really hoping to get a flat canopy all the way across the room, but who knows, may still be possible! Plants are loving the Gaia Green Living Soil mix, and today I just moved the blumat sensors to get a bit closer to the rootball.

I was under watering quite a bit in an attempt to make sure I didn’t flush out the benes and nutrients of the super soil. Ironically, I might have killed all the benes. Lol. Either way, they’re getting about 1 gal every other day now. Growing strong. Looks like my super soil mix might have been a little hot for this one. Just did another spinosad treatment. I haven’t seen any more thrips in the greenhouse since the first treatment 10 or so days ago. Saw a leaf hopper in there though 😡

This has been such an incredible learning experience, back in December a friend and I got bored and decided to build a tent with some scraps in my garage and a single CFL in a reptile heat lamp 🤦‍♂️and try and grow the seeds I had been sitting on for a few years. The cfl broke almost immediately and poor little lato spent the first few days of her life in the dark waiting for a cheap led from Amazon. At the beginning of this grow we had no idea what we were doing and honestly no faith we could grow anything but mid bud but it was just abt the experience. Both of us spent most of our days researching and learning about cannabis and organic growing. We ended up deciding on a small company called Dragonfly earth medicine and used their full line of bacteria based nutes/supplements (radiant green, fat flowers, brilliant black, lush roots and natural Mystik) to make teas with worm castings and molasses. I wet trimmed a couple nugs just to see what I prefer seeing as I’ve never done this before. Got everything hung up in her tent with the exhaust fan on the lowest setting. Hopefully everything goes well. I know I started this diary late but thank you guys for all the support if you have any questions or feel like I’m missing anything feel free to reach out.

Día 34 resuelto el problema. Con riegos personalizados muy laboriosos he corregido ligeras carencias de algunas plantas. Aún con la diferencia de aprox. una semana entre más o menos mitad y mitad de ellas ya entran todas en floración y será mas sencillo. Estos últimos días han sido un poco caóticos. Ya se veía alguna diferencia de fenotipo pero esto es demasiado. Como vereis dn las fotos no hay dos iguales. Desde luego pars cultivo extensivo no va nada bien. Estan en diferentes fases y el ajuste de abonos no es fácil. Sobretodo sin tener parámetros. Pero bueno voy al día intentando tratatarlas personalizadamente pero lleva mucho mas tiempo habiendo 23. Aun así, seguiremos adelante e iremos superando adversidades, así se aprende también. Como la mayoría de las plantas exteriores marcan carencia de N, le voy a echar otra semana de CalMag foliar para no tener que añadir grower ek esta fase ya.

Today is day 51 of flower and the top bud site calyxes are already showing a good amount of amber on the trichomes. Maybe being stunted in seedling phase caused some change in the plants growth hormones. Who knows? I’m still gonna give her at least a week until I chop her. Gonna have to start checking overall plant trichomes nightly though just so I can get a feel for the plants overall maturity/ripeness level. So excited for this harvest. The plant smells like heavenly maple syrupy butter lol.

Increased the amount of nutrients, water and food. Manual 12/12 light cycle at 100% most the time. Fan on 24/7. Continued to trim smaller branches and budsites bending a few branches to fill out the canopy better.

🌿 Mission completed ✅: Mellow Jelly - The Chop! ?❄️ Let's go! Welcome to the final update for the Mellow Jelly. She has officially been chopped and is currently hanging to dry. After fighting through the pest stress earlier in the cycle, she bounced back perfectly and finished incredibly strong. 📈 The Details / Harvest Report: The Chop: Harvested right inside the optimal window. Checking the heads one last time before the chop showed fully milky trichomes with a solid percentage of amber pushing through. Density & Weight: The colas finished completely swollen and extremely top-heavy. Those support strings I had to tie up last week definitely saved the branches from snapping under the final weight. Resin Production: The frost on this plant is out of this world. The calyxes and sugar leaves are entirely caked in sticky trichomes. Canopy Structure: The earlier LST and defoliation paid off, resulting in solid, dense nugs all the way down the mid-canopy with very little larf. 💧 Next Steps: The grow cycle is done, and now we move to the dry. She is hanging up in the dark, and I am keeping the temperature and humidity strictly dialed in for a slow, controlled drying process. Once the stems give that perfect snap, she will be trimmed up and moved into jars for the cure. Let's keep it growing! 🌱💨

The Fat Banana plant focuses its energy on bud development within the minigrow box. Buds start to form, and we closely monitor and adjust the lighting and nutrients.

Third week up we go, for this week i decided to lower my VIPARSPECTRA P2000 and bring the light closer to my canopy, i believe they are strong enough to higher PPFD numbers, so at 50cm this is giving me around 1000 uMol/s, with for this faze i believe is perfect, lets see how they react and if needed i can always adjust 😆 but since they are super healthy and strong af , why not pushing them to higher limits 😅💚😆 And with enormous honor and pleasure that i start collaborating with Zamnezia and Viparspectra For this run i will have the pleasure of growing some Runtz genetics from Zamnezia seeds that they wore kind enough to send me for test and review 🙏🙏🙏💚💚💚🙏🙏🙏 and for the testing and reviewing i was blessed with the VIPARSPECTRA model P2000💚💚💚🙏🙏🙏 they wore amazing and send me this LED light for me to do some testing and some reviews. 🌸 Week 3 Flower – Growing Strong, Tall, and Vibrant! 🌱 Hey Grow Fam! It’s already Week 3 in flower, and I’m thrilled to bring you this update because these plants are doing phenomenally well! Some are stretching up so tall that I might have to get creative in the coming weeks! Fruit production is well underway, and it’s absolutely amazing to watch the canopy fill out as these girls reach their potential. Having a blast sharing more content lately—I’m in the zone with editing and creating, so get ready for even more shares! 🌡️ Environmental Control and Fine-Tuning the Reservoir pH Temps this week have been holding around 27.2°C with RH at 65.2% and CO2 at 800 ppm, creating a VPD of 1.26 for ideal flower development. The lighting intensity is at 833 PPFD, and the solution in the reservoir is fine-tuned to a pH of 6.22, EC of 475, with a temp of 21.8°C. Let’s talk pH in the reservoir: it’s a dynamic process, and I’m constantly adjusting it to keep everything at the right level. The pH tends to rise throughout the week, and each day, I work it back down, fine-tuning it to keep those plants happy and balanced. Managing pH is truly a hands-on job, and it’s worth every moment. I love staying on top of it for optimal nutrient uptake—it’s all about consistent effort and keeping that perfect range dialed in. Leaf Maintenance & Selective Defoliation These leaves are HUGE and gorgeous, creating a lush canopy that’s nearly too perfect! I’ve been taking a few leaves here and there, focusing on leaves that may be blocking light from reaching lower parts of the plant. Selective defoliation at this stage is key because it opens up airflow and allows light to penetrate deep, boosting energy distribution across the whole plant. Big, healthy leaves mean we’re getting excellent photosynthesis, but a gentle, strategic defoliation can guide that energy toward those developing buds.
