We’ve reached the final week before harvest. Most of the plants are already ready for root flushing or do it. I’ll do it in batches since humidity levels are a bit tricky. I flush the roots with plain water first and then add several liters with Final Flush to see if it leaves any effect on the flavor. I’m still applying a preventive fungicide foliarly. They’ve developed some great main buds, and I’m really looking forward to trying them.

Small oversight in early growth resulted in a minor stunt but she is improving dramatically. On day 20 of flower I’ve decided to do a big defoliation to reduce the humidity and make sure all the budsites get enough light. Never did a big defoliation like this but always wanted to try it to see if it’s something for my growing method or not. PH is on the low side currently, started on 6.3 with 1.75EC six days ago but the ladies are drinking more water than nutrients so each day the PH drops and the EC rises a bit. Will do a complete refresh when it drops to 5.2 Smell is really great and my gloves were already reallu sticky after defoliation round.

12/2 Week Ten Blondie comes of age 😏 She has twice the light now and plenty of room, color it girl 12/5 To help you with perspective on Blondie she is about at week two of full flower just past the stretch. Seemed to go into hibernation when sick so clock does not seem affected as she had a good veg run after recovering. Just about a 2 week pause in her so looking at 3-4 weeks for her harvest. So about week 7 growth Increasing Koolbloom to 2.5ml/g she is in the fast building phase give her all she wants 12/6 We are adjusting all the diaries to end weeks on Sunday, this is for our convenience as really this grow with Blondie being behind somewhat doesn't really matter. Compost tea turned out well, let it go for 26 hours total and geared it towards fungal. Also took some soil samples several days later around the stalks and found a lot of nematodes and protozoa which is what you want to see. Lots of different types of nematodes so what your looking for are the bacterial feeders (there are charts online that show you how to identify them). Mycorrhizae can be identified by it's dark colour, uniformity and segmented nature. Testate amoebas live in a translucent shell like a snail and are easy to spot but hard to spot moving due to my shitty microscope, but look for the tentacles. Also found some eggs with movement inside, no idea what they are but they have vacuoles and flagella. She is really getting sticky and smelly now; berries with herb notes. You can see the resin stretching over the trichomes in the last pic. No signs of senescence yet so I'm not going to feed them, they should have plenty of food anyway as this is a second run of the same soil.
