Ginger Nut cookies & Aussie music Videos Grow Diary update 27th Feb 2020 The preflowering Stretch has well and truly begun with every branch that wasn't tied down , shooting upwards a few inches. The plant itself looks very healthy and content. Once flowering starts I'll begin to add P+K to the feeding regime. We have had bugger all sunlight here for over a week and also we have had lots of rain and wind. Daily max temps have been around the 24-25 celcius range and the minimums around 15 c. RH has been high 67% on average. That is about it for this weeks plant update . Now for the weekly Music videos. ** Last week I posted the links to three different artists who were picked by fellow growers thru the Grow question that I posted asking for requests. ** This week is back to just the one featured Artist from Australia. This week's artist is Mr Paul Kelly who is an Australian rock music singer-songwriter and guitarist. He has performed solo, and has led numerous groups, including the Dots, the Coloured Girls, and the Messengers. He has worked with many other artists and groups and is considered one of the finest singer songwriters to have come from Australia. Once again I couldn't narrow it down to just one song as he's had many great tunes but I have chosen the two with the best Music video as that is the main criteria for my Diaries Theme. So please prepare to enjoy some of Mr Kellys finest The first song is a brand new one called Sleep Australia Sleep in which he evokes many emotions and anger with his poignant ords and the haunting images of destruction of our beautiful country thru both natural and man made disasters such as the recent horrific bushfires and floods, plus also the damage to our ecosystem from pollution, rubbish and envionmental terrorism performed in the name of industry ( mining, oil drilling coal power stations etc etc This song really touched a nerve in me being a true blue Aussie and passionate Animal lover so I urge you all to actually watch the video and listen to the song. this is the video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hY1w_c7nO4 the second song is on a much lighter note & is called "Dumb things " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR-eTR3Dcps which apparently was quite popular in the US at the time of it's first release. What’s good, fam? Zuppler comin’ through with that week 2 veg update, straight from the capital. The ladies startin’ to really take off now – roots stretchin’ out like they ownin’ the whole crib. We keepin’ it real clean with that RO water, pure as the ocean, ya feel me? Advanced Nutrients been feedin’ these queens like they on some luxury diet, and it’s showin’. Leaves lookin’ lush, no deficiencies in sight, and them stalks startin’ to thicken up like they preppin’ for the fight ahead. Ain’t no stalling in this grow, everything on the up. I’m keepin' the environment steady – temps and humidity locked in tight, like I’m runnin’ a ship with no leaks. We just cruisin’ through, lettin’ the ladies do their thing, no stress. Auto banana kush has been growing well under the Medic Grow Mini Sun-2. She got a solution change a few days ago. I been keeping up on the lst, and selective defoliation. I clipped the tips of her roots to promote a more dense root growth. She looks like she will go to flowering very soon. when you grow a feminised photoperiodic outdoors you have to bring time and patience. she is growing and is strong. still no sign of sex. she hasn't really had much stress, so i'm not worried about her turning male. i'll just keep growing her. her sister, RQS Power Flower is also doing very well. both have been given a homemade fertiliser made from aquafaber, coffee grounds and banana peel. they liked it very much.

This week the blueberry exploded with growth. It's spreading out and covering the other two plants. It's a little droopy in the picture because I photoed it after it was in the dark for six hours. Even with its rapid growth this week, overall, the blueberry lags behind the critical mango CBD and the cream plants which are flowering. There's also a little bit of brown on the upper fan leaves indicating a possible Mg deficiency. Until recently, I've had a very conservative nutrient solution. I've increased the Mg from 2.5ml/gal to 4.0 ml/gal which is well within the limits others have used with good results. My total ppm is still less than 1000.. I've been having problems with my ph meter this past week so bought a new one. When I compared the two within a specific standardized ph solution, the meter I was using was off by .3, meaning, I've been using water that's at about 6.1 instead of 5.8. I'm not sure how long, but I calibrated it a couple weeks ago. Moving forward I'll see if this helps. I just received some Armor Si (silica) to add to my mix. Next time I'll use it throughout my entire grow. Otherwise, the plants are doing well. The cream and critical mango are stacking buds on their main cola and the branch colas are starting to form. Trichomes are forming on the flowering plants.

My humidity is so high this week. Put the dehumidifier in the tent since temps are dropping, but I can’t seem to get it down below 70%. Ordered some DampRid but they sent the Fresh Scent one 🤦‍♀️🏻 Other than that, flowers are looking good so far. Trying to defoliate but it’s hard to reach the back of the plants since my tent is against a wall. With the AC Infinity bases, I’ve been using water in the reservoir and hand-watering the nutrient mixture. I’m worried I’ll overwater and it may be contributing to my high RH. Going to try putting the liquid nutes right in the reservoir, and doing Big Bloom 1x/week with a top feed.

This week could not have gone any better. Shiba Inu went through the roof, as it should. 'Dog coins is greats', we all know this by now and should be the only logic when selecting crypto's. Then came another nice surprise: My 6th place price for best diary came in. @FastBuds had already sent it, thanks to Heather and the Fastbudsteam. What a great company they are and can't wait to try the free seeds they send me too. I selected Mimosa Cake, Bruce Banner, Forbidden Runtz, and since they didn't have the t-shirt in my size (that's right, big boy here), I was allowed to select an extra strain: Green Crack. Thanks again to all the people at FastBuds for being an awesome company! 😘 Well finally I have fixed all the stress, what they needed was apparently some good old BioBuds Super Soil love... You guys need to check out my recipe on the germination page. This is some awesome shit even for younger plants. I think I nailed it with only European ingredients, to match Master Mark and Subcools recipes. You can clearly see how the transplant only made them better instead of further stressing the plants. I'm so happy. With one or two weeks delay, finally, we are underway. The FIM I did last week did not hold so fimmed her again, I think I might have been too careful. But now the light (still many thanks to @MarsHydroLED, hook 'em up for a great discount on your SP-3000 or other light) and the soil are proving to be a great team in even recovering stressed and hurt plants. The climate in the tent could be a little moister but for now, I'll mist just the plants to keep the gnat problem at bay. The gnat problem seems over by just spraying all the topsoil with a solution of 5 tablespoons of citric acid in a liter of water. Just a fine mist covering most of the topsoil kills the larvae and sticky traps and a bowl of vinegar with some dish soap did the rest.
