7/24/23 - Day 42 - Ok, so where to start? I'm going to go over the last couple days of issues/troubleshooting. We had an issue with the lights not coming on for a whole day/night cycle. That was a couple of days ago, and everything seems okay since then. I had some Canoeing/tacoing on the leaves once the lights were back on. I think I had the PH too low, 5.8. In flower, I should start moving it up the scale. Once I corrected the PH to 6.2, the canoeing/tacoing in the leaves seemed to be gone/almost gone. I'm REALLY worried about the height of the plant. She is only 12 in. from the light that I cannot move. I added a second scrogg net???? I don't know if that's done a lot, but I'm going to try and stop if from growing straight up. I think the best I can do is give it a lean. So Ill call this the ScoggGL (GangstaLean). You'll see some pictures up top as I start the ScoggGL I did the first big trim and pulled a 3-gallon bucket of fan leaves out. I cut off a few side branches I didn't want the plant to waste energy on. I trimmed so many leaves off it was crazy. The smells have been awesome! You all know the smell of the fresh plant stems and leaves as you trim and rub across them. It's one of my favorite smells, which is in full effect. I noticed that I have some pistils growing. I know what that means, shes going to have some flowers here in the next week. I couldn't be more excited!!!!! The roots are just downright ruthless; they have been growing out of control. I have a great picture of them in there with no water. I should note that I did two things that might have solved the Tacoing in the leaves. It could have been one or the other, but it also could be a combo of both things. I did the trimming to get some airflow between the leaves and changed the target for my PH from 5.8 to 6.2. When moving into flowering, I should have already done that. But I did both things while the leaves were Tacoing, and now they are not. I wanted to make sure I noted that. 7/26/23 - Day 44 - Things are looking great. No more tacoing, she's growing and still drinking about 2+ gallons a day of water. I hope the vertical growth stops soon, I want to remove a ton more fan leaves, and I'm hoping that it spends more time growing around than up, I'm keeping some leaves on just to slow some vertical growth. 7/27/23 - Day 45 - She's sleeping right now, but I will chop some more fan leaves when she wakes up. She's growing too tall, and I need to find a way to stop her. I think shocking her system will help stunt her growth. How crazy is this, what a conundrum I'm in. Normally I stress out trying to find the right time to trim to avoid stunting growth. I always keep my plants busy and do one or two chops. I think they need to grow as mother nature intended. Let them grow and do one, maybe two fan leave chops. That's always been my motto and its always worked out great for me. This is now the exact opposite. Feels weird even thinking about it, doing a leave chop two weeks into flower..... ARE YOU INSANE!!!!!! Lol The 2nd chop has happened. I took a ton of fan leaves off. It's time for the plant to slow down heal and start working on the buds! Let's see how this goes over the next couple of days. I added a timelapse of me chopping her up. 7/28/23 - Day 46 - After adding more water last night, I was checking PH, and I did a quick check on the ppm from the nutes. If it went from 600ppm down to 130ppm in a couple of days. So we decided to give her another dose of nutes so she has something to eat. I'll update you after she wakes up for the day. Sorry I couldn't get better pictures but I'll try again tomorrow. This strain certainly deserves it. Very low leaf to bud ratio on this plant. Dark pink or orange stigmas retracted into the buds as they finished and one pheno had the densest nugs I've ever grown. This year realky showed me the difference of quality seeds compared to "local" clones. After a rainstorm on the large fluffier pheno I found a "trapped" bumblebee inside one of the massive colas. I had to help it out. It was literally "stuck" due to the resin. This strain had the most pleasant aroma that stuck with the finished product. Due to the small amount of leaf to bud ratio this plant was a breeze to trim. That being said I still don't have it ALL manicured up but I'm working on it. All plants seemed fairly pest resistant as well. If you enjoy indica strains (90/10) with short flowering times than this should certainly be on your "to grow list." Having these plants totally finish before October was very helpful. According to many local growers (both patients and commercial growers) this was "the worst year for growing cannabis in memory." I've had the best year I've had in decades (probably ever) both quality and quantity wise.

She broke through the surface already free of her seed coat, standing tall within the day and growing quickly throughout the week. This is only my second grow, but it already seems much faster this time around. Tent stats: - Lights: started the week around 220 PPFD, ramped to 300 by end of week. - Temps: seedling heat mat kept in the mid-80s (30 C). - Humidity: VPD has been set to 0.6 kPa. Growth is already looking surprisingly broad-leafed for a "sativa", maybe she's falling back on her cookies genetics...

Now the pics are getting better cause its up to date. Its the last week for her in veggie, ill put her in flower tomorrow because i dont want her to explode my tent. Also 5 skunks in a 60x60 tent is kinda scary but we wiiiill seee. Have a good one guys.

11/29 - Day 57 - Start of week 9. Fed the plants today with cal mag, base nutrient trio (micro, grow, bloom), and MKP. The plants appear to be very happy and healthy. Flowers are developing nicely on Blanche and Pinky, but Bleu is still showing only a few pistils at the bud sites. I'm wondering whether I should adjust the light schedule from 18/6 to 16/8, 14/10, or even 12/12. Will reassess at the end of this week. 12/02 - Day 60 - Fed nutes ppm=700 PH=6.5 w/ recharge and molasses. 12/05 - Day 63 - Fed nutes ppm=825 PH=6.5. Pinky and Blanche are starting to fatten up. Bleu looks as though she's just starting to kick into another gear, but will probably finish at least 2 weeks after the other two. Excited to see the eventual yield considering she will get the entire tent to herself during the final few weeks, is significantly larger than the other two plants, and is drinking/eating more.

I did cut it today! So now its going to hang for like 5 Days and then its finaly ready to smoke. I did switch of the light for 38 hours before i did hang it.

Start of week 5 today, everything seems to be going great! The Gelato OG is by far the biggest plant of the bunch so far but they all seem to be taking well to LST, HST , Topping & defoliation! Will be going in the flower tent as soon as the other ladies harvest so they will probably have atleast 2 to 3 more weeks of veg!

F week 7. I had nutrient lockout and ph started to swing down. I wasn't mixed my nutes right. I should have kept more break between adding the nutes and let it blend in peace.I lost some days because of that. Now everything should be under the control. The plant smells really strong. Cola nuggets are really hard but the trichomes are still mainly transparent. 7th week ending. It's gaining weight right now (11.28.25). 8th week starts Tomorrow.

Time to

Mixed nutrients today. Last night I added 2 ml of oxy science h202 to 18L of Kamloops City water filtered through our homes water filter, no idea what it does exactly lol. I put an air stone over night and let the water bubble off any chlorine and the rest of the h202, I use microbial mass so I just wanted to sanitize the water but not kill my soil. Mixed in bases first into 21.7 C ph 8.1 Water in the morning. Important not to mix concentrated solutions, I used syringes that I rinsed well between products. I find that with this product you just follow the instructions and it’s pretty awesome results.

Week 4 Last week was good gave the last defoliation for day 21. Adding a higher feed for her. This is the fatest of the 3 plants I’m running great growth & smells sweet & gassy already. Check out my IG for more content @therealterpio & check out my other dairies (jungle verde & the new)

Day 14 - Everything seems to be going great, not much to say right now! Will be feeding tomorrow! I have 2 plants on the fox farm & 1 on technaflora! We shall see which comes out better! Day 16 - Ladies are looking great!✌️🏼 Day 17 - Got watered with PH at 6.4 today, all 3 ladies are coming along nicely😍 Day 18 - 🌱✌️🏼 Day 19 - Ladies got watered again today with PH at 6.4, will probably be starting some LST in the next week sometime!
