Day 73 The plants look healthy and deeply green. First buds have appeared — flowering is going great. Over a week ago I removed the base nutrient Simplex Coco. Now running only Power Feeding Bio — mixed it into the coco and topped the substrate with it. Watering with plain water at pH 5.7–6.3, CalMag, and flavor additives at 1–2 ml/L: Simplex Aroma Punch and Taste. Previously these same plants showed nitrogen toxicity — red petioles on the large fan leaves when using Simplex Coco base at 2 ml/L as per the manufacturer's feed chart. On bio nutrients and water, new growth is coming in clean. Some leaves still show minor spots from previous acid overdose. A week ago I ordered basic pH and TDS meters from a local marketplace. Now dialing in the water properly: first bringing TDS to the target level with CalMag, then adjusting pH down with Simplex pH Down. Sometimes as little as 1 ml of acid is enough for a 15-liter bucket. The new auto-irrigation system arrived — in the coming days I'll set up drippers in the substrate and find a 5-liter reservoir for the tank. The speed at which the Durban plants have started flowering in a fully blacked-out tent is impressive. Waiting for some fat buds! 🌿

Hello. I've finished, cured and put away the Sleepy Joe. It didn't have the strength I was hoping for but it is still nice to smoke. It gets you couch locked and sleepy so before bed stuff. Total days above ground: 63 Total flower nights: 24 Just beyond 3 weeks into flower and the plants are showing their potential. The Mountaintop Mint has made great strides but is still a lanky bitch. I had to HST every branch, and may need to bend a couple more down before vegetative growth abates. Not a fan of this growth pattern and still unhappy about 2 out of 9 seeds providing a viable outcome. The bright side is that yield should be fine given the plethora of bud sites. Despite being difficult to grow next to other plants, I feel much better about its prospective outcome than I did just 1 week ago. That whole "crazy shit can happen in flower" thing rings true, again. Overall the canopy has filled in nicely. I have a couple spots where light is wasted and I'll make some adjustments to the process to fix that for future grows. Now that I've settled on plant size and number of plants, improvements can be made each cycle until it's clockwork. I like the 12-cola vs 8 cola experiement. I've got a fairly long list of edits to make to various sections of my "bible," which means I liked the outcomes of most of my incremental adjustments. Continual, systematic improvement in action... One other incremental change on the docket but not yet realized will be dropping nutrient concnetration once vegetative growth ends. Exact timing will be based on what I see in the foliage. I see some minor tip curl and its a bit darker than I want. So, it may come sooner than later. This'll be something I tweak over the next few grow cycles until I'm happy with the late-flower health. I'll drop fertilizer concentration 10-15% on next refill and see how that plays out. It'll take a couple refills of reservoir to near 100% transition without draining it. If necessary, I'll drain and do a full refill for more pressing needs. A rez scrub before final stretch is coming, regardless. Side note: The impacts of VPD can be enormous. Last year (2025-2 diary) I had a humidifier wick get fouled and RH dropped while VPD spiked for more than a few days, thinking I could power through or that the canopy would soon provide more moisture. Nope, growth stalled in a significant way. By comparing day 34-42-49 of 2025-2 and day 38-42-49 of this diary, I can see a huge difference in growth at same point above ground. The consitency with which i do things makes it fairly certain it's the extende period with extremely high VPDs that caused the difference. Also, interesting that it mostly catches back up by completion of third week of flower. The size difference is nearly undone by this point, though 2025-2 took 4 days longer vege phase to get there. Even so, I still think this grow is more than 4 days ahead of 2025-2 (the difference in vegetative phae duration). Time will tell if the development is ahead of the pace in 2025-2 or whether it's simply mostly an offset due to a less efficient vege phase for 2025-2.

Week 4 This week 4/28-5/4 Germination April 6. Week 1 water only Week 2 water only Week 3 added recharge and TPS1 increased ppm to 570. Week 4 continues with recharge and TPS1. I added Fox Cal mag increasing ppm to 685 - 805. 5/1 That was a fun feeding week. I got heavy handed with the TPS1 which put the ppm to 1600= so I had to dilute with more water which changed the ph. So I carefully added the smallest amount oh PHdown..then the PH was 5.08 so then added ph up. Oops too high, let’s try again. Ok finally within range with 6.02. Am I the only one?? Hopefully next week I have better control on the nutes. With my AC controller in charge of the humidifier, I must add 3-4 gallons of water a day. (Getting my lifting exercises in regularly). Girls are fed 2 liters of water every other day. Nutrients: TPS1 7ml per gal Recharge 5 ml/gal Fox Cal-mag 5 ml/gal Took pics 5/1 and 5/3 which show the vigorous leaf growth after only 2 days following defoliation and training. Its been a while but the ladies are still doing fine. After today its gonna be lights out. Ive stopped giving nutrients about 10 days ago.

An interesting week comes to an end. The Blue Dream has put down roots again, but continues to show healthy growth. Despite all this, it has produced flowers and continues to grow. Moby Dick, on the other hand, is developing extremely well without any defects and I am sure that both plants will eventually produce a usable harvest.

To be quite honest considering I have planted early and haven’t provided any food or nutrients the smell is incredible and there starting to flower nicely. All in all happy with this experiment just the Spanish sun and water.

D-29 : I made a mistake. I think the second top I did today was too soon. Only 4 days after the first one. What is done, is done. Now, let see what happend but, I'll wait more for the last top. I think I'll wait untill the new mains have at least 3 new real nodes. D-30 : Every thing is ok except that the new mains are really really really small.... It should be better in a couple of days. Das Schwierigste ist,dass alles gut läuft und sie mich nicht brauchen. Schaue trotzdem täglich einfach so für 10 min meine Mädels an 😍. Habe 2 weitere e27 2700k 13w 1521 lm hinzugefügt. Weniger wegen des Lichtes,sondern um die Temperatur noch etwas höher zu bekommen. Klappt bisher gut ,sodass auf stofftopf Ebene jetzt auch ca. 25 grad herrechen. Immernoch bei 300-400 ppfd laut photone. Edit Day 15: Weitere 2x 20W 4000K 2500 lm hinzugefügt. Insgesamt jetzt 182 W, ca. 28-29 °C max temps. Heute gegossen - waren bei 60% des gesättigten Gewichts.

Estamos aplicando una subida de EC que se me fue un poco la mano en el anterior riego no dándoles la trancision que quería,ya que le agregué más 100l con una ec final de casi 2,1 Este riego es más aporte de vitaminas junto azúcares y encinas acompañado como siempre del abono base y calmag Espero en el fin de semana agregar otro riego de 75l con la primera carga de monsterbloom si ya veo que pueda aplicarse por un desarrollo avanzado de la flor,no quiero generar bloqueos con ese aditivo. Por lo demás este cultivo haciendo comparaciones va a romper en producción. El desarrollo de las flores en casi el 80% del armario es increíble,vamos a ver grandes flores y espero que muy resinosas y compactas.

04/09 - Started minor defoliation. Shes getting too bushy and blocking bud sites and causing moisture spots. Will remove a couple of leaves every other day for the next week. 05/09 - Full res change. Realised I mucked up the ratio. Went 35ml Micro, 25ml grow, (Shouldve been the other way around, so added an extra 10ml grow), 15ml Bloom and 15ml Silica. EC 1.4, PH 5.7. Will keep an eye on her and add some additional grow if she does alright. 06/09 - Minor defoliation. Removed about 12 leaves total so far. LST to spread the canopy a little more. PH stable at 5.8, EC at 1.4, Water level dropping. Seems to be stretching and pistils have begun to form! Responding well to the uptick in nutes from the res change. 07/09 - Leaf tucking, LST and took a leaf or two. Shes getting her stretch on for sure. PH stable at 5.8, EC stable at 1.4. Water level still dropping. 09/09 - After much deliberation, I ended up going for a fairly heavy defoliation session and am now going to leave her the hell alone until at least mid flower. I removed a large chunk of shaded leaves and bud sites and effectively ended up lollipopping her. I also removed all the old LST, and added a couple to pull leaves out of the way. The canopy remains largely unchanged, but shes much more airy now, and Im seeing far fewer damp spots where leaf perspiration has occured. Now to see if I can keep my hands off for a few weeks!

Let me tell you about Week 9 😪........ Yup got me re thinking some of my prior choices, I really want to kick over the other 2 plants so I can make room for Garganchula. I admit I DONT KNOW what Im doing and its starting to show. I LOST control of my tent. They said LST and DEFOLIATE for proper maintenance? REASONS why I lost control now, I know when to admit DEFEAT and I'm defeated. All I do LST and DEFOLIATION (3hrs), and 1 week later, looks like I did NOTHING. 24 inchs wanted to flip to flower but also wanted 1 more month of VEG. Looks like a bigger tent or early flower, we shall see what the WIFE say🤫🤫🤫 I don't think 🤔 1 plant like 1700 ppms Burnt tips, funny coloration of fan leaves 🍃 NOT ALL but lower growth. I call SLIGHT nute burn 1550ppms here I come, I really don't know what im doing LMFAO.....

Day 65 : officially 1st day of flush . Changed the reservoir with fresh water and 1.2g/5 gallons of Yucca extract and 5ml/gallon of Cleanex from Botanicare . Day 68- I did some defoliate. Few more days until harvest.
