Straight water this last week and she sure has changed colors. A pale pink/purple look everywhere. Entire 4x4 tent willed with one plant. Looking forward to seeing the final yields. Seeing a good amount of amber/cloudy Trichomes so it’s time to chop. So far the only downside to this strain is the massive amount of leaf production. It’s way too much to be honest.

Sorry for being late with this update! 😱 Plants are maturing well but I noticed Matcha is developing slower compared to Pistachio and I assume that's because the height of the lights are very different from each plant, but both are still going forward. A clear sign of maturity is Pistachio's brighter color leafs and the amount of "brown" pistils on both plants. Trichomes are developing well too. Anyway, I think I will give Pistachio one more week and then see how Matcha develops to cut her. I also started to defoliate my girls, there were tons of dying leaves! See you all in my next update!

Seems to be growing nice so many budsites she’s drinking a lot 2ltr a day easy I’ve added a bit of budcandy to see how she handles it

What up family sorry for the late update, was out of town for the past week. Wow what a site when I opened the tent to plants that have tripled in size easily. They're just start the flower period so I'll switch the Nutrients over to Athena Bloom A & B as well as a P & K booster. They got a light defoliation before I left even though you can't tell, I'll be doing some more this week and doing a little lollipopping. All in all super excited for the flower period. Well it’s been another average week. I topped once more and did a slight defoliation. She bounced right back happy as can be. She started showing signs of sex this week and well, IT’S A GIRL! The clone I took from her 2 weeks ago has finally started to show roots. It took it a bit longer than I had hoped and it’s showing some deficiencies, but we will let it root out a bit more and then plant her into a pot. I plan on using some mycorrhiza when I transplant it into its new home to help stimulate fast root growth. The temperatures in both tents were getting a bit hard to control and I needed to have better control over both tents individually. I originally had them daisy chain ventilated together and now I am using 3 fans with a Y connection to individually control their climates. We have added a CO2 bag to help increase growth in the vegitative tent. Added nutrients to top off reservoirs everything looks good …I am content so far with testing will be dropping light schedule to 11 on 13 off to accelerate bud development hopefully shortening flowering time

So I have spider mites. I screwed up so much i think this is going 15 weeks. Lost coast to the rescue! time to finish these buggers off

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Flipped ‘em to flower about a week ago. So far to my untrained eyes they’re looking great. I’m watering ever three days and feeding once every other watering. Mixture of fox farms nutrients (disregard amounts in stats above) at like 25-40 percent of full strength. Ppm was 700 and ppfd is 700-800 according to Photone. Disregard the little fella in the solo cup. I never transplanted it and just kept it in there. Now I’m just keeping it as a bonus plant plus to learn leaf symptoms, etc. I’m really excited to guide these through the home stretch! They’re already way bigger than my last, and first, harvest.

So week 4 of flower is in the books and things are going well. Noticing a cal/mag issue in the jehovas witness but not the others. Growth has been strong and the fatality has taken over she has outgrown my five foot tent so am moving everything to a brand new 5x5 that’s 8 feet tall so I’m hoping I can spread them out some and allow light to reach the middle canopy because I have lollipopped all the lower larfy bullshit. Looking forward to a strong finish.
