May 4: nice spring day so the plants were outside in the afternoon. Some direct sun but mostly in the small greenhouse to stay warm out of direct sun. Still spraying with water to make up for low humidity, but also starting to water soil in a circle around the plant. Using Monster Maxx this year. Used last year in my compost tea and the root balls were very dense and intricate so it seems to work as advertised. Will still be mostly used for compost tea but also according to label direction of 2 mL/L once a week. May 5: mixing soil and sorting out grow bags for this year. Putting some spruce cones in the bottom to ensure air gets to the roots at the bottom. Indoor growers often use clay balls for this apparently but I’ve got lots of spruce cones handy and they’ll do the trick. May 6: looking good with all three looking very similar at this early stage. May 7: looking good. Room temp could be higher but oh well. May 9: beautiful warm spring day so I decided to transplant the chosen seedling into the final container. She's doing very well. Gave her a little clean up today - removed some undergrowth that won't make to the top. Keeping her diet pretty much the same other than an increase in Cal-Mag this week - the other plant in my tent was showing signs of deficiency so I thought they'd both get a little boost since I've been treading lightly. She did a bit of stretching this week - grew about 5" taller! Looking forward to see some fattening of the buds! 👊 ----------- Day 65: PPM 668; PH 5.8. I think her drink is bit on strong side with PPMs increasing a bit since the rez change. Topped her off today with 3/4 gallon of filtered water to dilute things a bit. Sitting at 574 PPM; PH 6.2. Buds are starting to stack nicely and fatten. Day 66: PPM 553; PH 6.2. Let her be. Seems to be happier now that I've watered down her drink a little. Frost is starting to form around some of the buds and she's getting more fragrant. Day 67: PPM 584; PH 5.2. Gave her 3/4 gallon filtered water with light dose of nutes. She's now running at 553 PPM; PH 6.0. Day 68: PPM 563; PH 6.0. Let her be. Day 69: PPM 532; PH 5.8. Gave her 3/4 gallon filtered water/feed. Now at PPM 542; PH 6.2. Day 70: PPM 532; PH 5.1. Discovered my PH meter is toast and has been reading much higher than it should. Got a new meter and hopefully back on track. Thank goodness this plant is resilient. So Friday will be day 70. I messed up a lot, did lst and used big pots so I'm thinking these might go 3-5 more weeks. They smelled so amazing a few times today though. First the purple punch, then the sour diesel, then the girl scout cookies, each gave off aromas one after the other a few times today. The purple punch smalls so sweet and delicious.

From the start i wanted these plants to grow on its natural potential. No topping, no training. My experiment was to see the results compared to a trained plant. From what i saw, deffo topp or train these. Even if it takes longer to grow, it will give better yields. Overall its got a strong and tasty smoke. Just didnt harvest in 8 weeks like what the manufacturer sais. But 12 weeks is not bad. Dry weight: 32 grams Atleast this grow was a success, so im happy. Next is Mephisto genetics! Week 6 and we are reaching for the skies! LOL...it's a good thing but also bad...as she is starting to get light burn on the top main cola...my light is the highest it can be so I'm hoping that the Fox Farms Nutrient, Open Sesame, stops the stretch and focuses more on bud development. She will get fed on Friday! I absolutely love watching my Runtz grow, I want massive trees in my tent now...I used to go crazy with the LST during veg weeks 4-5 and introduced open sesame earlier because I never wanted tall plants before...my first grow had tons of light burn and my tent is tiny!!! Just a little 2 x 4......but now I am steering that way...I just think the tent looks more beautiful....tall lengthy trees as opposed to short stumpers which is what I have been growing from the start :P Went in with some more LST...at week 6 is usually when I try to go minimal on the manipulation but with how lanky she is...I think there's more room for some surprise colas to make an appearance! Also, I took the SCROG netting out...I want more experience with growing before I start messing with new growing techniques..if you made it this far into reading wow congrats! Week 4 - Sometimes You Got To Lose To Gain Phase 2 - I took off the fan leaves so that the plant would redirect its energy into the stem and branches rather than the leaves. I also cut of the top heads so that the energy would go into the development of the 2 heads below.

Yoyoyo.... Another BM update: Its week 7 and they are looking good... Buds are bulking up now and its almost time to defoliage and let the light shine thru to the bottom buds. I am going to wait another few days before I defoliage this mother. Will update more soon. Happy growing, BM 4TweentY

01/11 True week one of flower. These girls don’t like being fed full strength nutes. They definitely stretch a lil more directly under the HPS. The other girls getting more MH light def don't have the same stretch. I will be switching out the MH for a HPS and adding a LED in the next couple days. 01/12 Changed the MH with the HPS. both lights kicking at 1150w with the UVB’s. With the plants over 5’ tall its not enough light. There is soo much photosynthetic surface area + i have not defoliated one leaf the entire grow. I will remove the all of the growth about 2’ up on each plant this weekend.
