Cosmic Noodles — Week 5 from Seed Transition Week · Pre-Flower Expression · Two Approaches, One Room Hello everyone, and welcome to a big Week 5 update 🌱 This one is photo-heavy and detail-heavy, so thank you for bearing with us, there’s a lot happening, and we wanted to document it properly. This week marks what we consider a transition / pre-flower week, where hormonal shifts are clearly visible, structure is defining itself, and flowering intent is becoming obvious, especially on one of the plants. ⸻ 🌱 Quick recap for anyone just joining • Two autoflowers, same genetics, same room, same environment • Different early light histories: • One plant received an initial ~15 days under 18/6, then switched to 12/12 • One plant has been 12/12 from seed • Both are now growing side by side under 12/12 • No topping, no cutting, no high-stress training → Only low-stress techniques This run intentionally goes against many traditional autoflower “rules”, and that’s part of the learning process. ⸻ 🌿 Two Low-Stress Training Approaches (No Cuts, No Stress) 🔧 Plant with initial 18/6 period — Clamp-based LST This plant is responding extremely well to structural opening using metal clamps. • Clamps were used early to open the structure horizontally • Most clamps are now hidden under leaf mass, which is exactly what we want • Branching is strong, symmetrical, and well distributed • The plant currently looks like a round, open bush / ball • Internodes are stacking nicely, with great airflow She is not very tall yet, but that’s intentional — she has been pushed outward first. Now that structure is set, we expect vertical growth to accelerate. By the end of the week, she is clearly more advanced in pre-flower, with visible pistils and early flower formation. ⚠️ Important reminder: This plant also has ~15 days more life than her sister, which absolutely plays a role in developmental timing. ⸻ 🍃 Plant 12/12 from seed — Leaf bending & gentle tucking The second plant is trained exclusively through: • Leaf bending • Leaf tucking • Gentle redirection No clamps, no anchors — just guiding light access. She is: • Much taller (around ~30 cm by eye) • Roughly double the size vertically • Growing very fast, with all branches reaching upward • Open, dynamic, and beautifully balanced Her architecture suggests: • A strong root system still building • Rapid vertical expression • A plant preparing itself confidently for flowering She is slightly behind in visible flower development, which is expected given her age, but she is clearly transitioning. ⸻ 🌸 Flower Development & Pistils (White Hairs) On the plant that had the initial 18/6 period, we are seeing many pistils already. These white hairs: • Are the female reproductive organs • Indicate readiness to receive pollen (even though none will) • Signal the onset of flowering The 12/12-from-seed plant will show the same soon — just slightly later, which aligns perfectly with: • Her age • Her different early light history Nothing abnormal here — just biology doing biology. ⸻ 🌿 Leaves, Color & Genetics Both plants are showing: • Deep, lush green • Beautiful leaf texture and definition • No signs of deficiency or stress This is likely a combination of: • Strong genetics • Balanced nutrition • Correct environment • Gentle handling It’s honestly a privilege to watch them grow like this. ⸻ 💧 Watering, Nutrition & Why CalMag Comes In Now Hand-watered plants (the two we’re discussing): • Water: rainwater + dehumidifier-collected water • Very low mineral content → requires supplementation • This week we introduced CalMag Pro at 1 ml/L Why now? • Rapid growth + pre-flower = higher demand for Ca & Mg • Prevents: • Leaf issues • Structural weakness • Uptake problems later in flower Current hand-watering parameters: • pH: 5.9 • EC: 1.43 • Nutrition increased because plants are asking for it ⸻ Autopots (other plants in the room): • Mineral-only approach • Organics don’t work well in autopots • EC: 2.29 • pH: 6.1 Different systems → different recipes → same goal: healthy plants. Photos show measurements clearly for transparency. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Check (Winter Reality) Outside conditions: • 4–5°C • 90–95% humidity Inside: • Temps dropped slightly but remain stable • Day RH ~58% with lights on • Nothing concerning yet That said: • Winter is humid • Conditions may shift • We are watching closely and will adapt as needed For now: all good. ⸻ ☀️ Light & PPFD PPFD is adjusted per plant size, not uniformly: • Ranges roughly 700–850 PPFD • Plants are praying constantly • Clear sign they love the spectrum and intensity Again: light is tailored, not brute-forced. ⸻ 🌱 Daily Handling & Plant Care • Hand-watered plants are taken out individually • Weight is checked • Plants are observed closely • Positions are adjusted so no one feels crowded The room is becoming a mini jungle, and that’s exactly the intention 🌿 ⸻ Fungus Gnats — Honest & Controlled Yes, we have some fungus gnats. • Yellow sticky traps are in place • Watering is controlled • Dry-downs are respected Personally, I see them as: • A manageable part of organic systems • A reminder to stay balanced • Possibly even a mild defense trigger (personal philosophy, not science) They are under control, and roots are healthy. ⸻ New Team Member: Mr. Baggy This week also marks the first appearance of Mr. Baggy — our fluffy blue buddy won in a Grow Diaries contest 🏆 He’s officially part of the crew now, and you’ll be seeing more of him around. ⸻ 🌱 Final Thoughts & Encouragement These two autoflowers are growing beautifully, despite: • Non-traditional light schedules • Different early paths • Ignoring much of the usual “bro-science” This run is a reminder that: • Cannabis does not behave linearly • Each garden is its own ecosystem • Trying, failing, observing, and learning is how knowledge is built I strongly encourage everyone to: • Test things yourself • Think independently • Respect the plant more than the rules Nature often surprises us. ⸻ 🔮 What to expect next • Continued stretch on both plants • Clear flowering progression on both • Structural payoff from current training • Ongoing environmental adjustments as winter continues Thank you all for following along, for your patience with this big update, and for the love and support. 🌱 Finalizando la semana 3 y con buenas noticias 🌱 Efectivamente, esa carencia que venía notando estaba relacionada con calcio y magnesio. Después de añadir Calmag, las plantas empezaron a mostrar más vigor y mejor desarrollo. Hace unos días realicé el trasplante a macetas de 11L, probablemente las definitivas, aunque esto dependerá de cómo avancemos en las próximas semanas. 💪 A partir de ese trasplante, también comencé a incluir BioGrow en el riego, para potenciar el crecimiento. 📝 Dato útil: Antes de trasplantar, esperé a que el sustrato estuviera un poco más seco y compacto, lo que facilitó muchísimo el proceso. Luego, en ese primer riego post-trasplante, aproveché para aplicar fertilizantes. ¡Seguimos avanzando y viendo los cambios día a día! 🚀🌿

06/16/2020 Did some defoiliating, and fed Espoma Fruit and flower 9-4-3 (3 tbls top dressed) help to aid in the transition from veg to flowering, after 21st days get shorter but slowly. Might do light deprivation to induce an early harvest. I just posted a video of Red Sky #3, brother of Red Sky #1 One branch will get dusted on #1 Good news #1, clones very well with minimal effort stuck in potting mix which has 5-1-1 starter fertilizer plus myco, and tricoderma. After she settles in I will switch to top dressing with Espoma Fruit and flower 4-9-3 plus myco have 3 good clones to work with. Oh yeah apparently I put 4-9-3 in transplant pot so I guess it means nutes total is 9-10-4 maybe a mid to late top dress to finish but we see what happens!. The 5-1-1last about 6 weeks. And the 4-9-3 will last 3-4 weeks at best We see how she is doing in a month. Then I'll know better. From here on out this diary is all about my freaky princess!👍 Red Sky #1 she is getting to tall so I took clones to bring her down to size I will keep one mother plant, and monster crop the rest! It's just officially week 8 day 56 fron flip. Been on 10/14 schedule this week too. My select strain i kept clones of are very vigorous and u can still see some hairs on leaves. Also perfect buds. Early cut test makes u go in another universe. Both are sweet but the select one is mossy n sweet hint cheese maybe thats the best one. Other one is sweet af even before cure like skittlez but the shape n yield aint good foxy n small :( the other one has a taste that is rare and denser very long trichomes. Anywho from here i givem non npk goodies then ro flush few days before chop. If they are not finished b4 contest to mt taste, ill harvest like half of the branches or something....they'll get their pics and ad.

Day 36 Flowering: Hi all , hope we are preparing for the weather changes and stocking up stress hormones for the heat ?. I am hoping i have timed this last group of autos and their 18 hours light needs to finish as the heat rises . I am excited to be running the Herz O.G again as a photoperiod along with the Exotics seeds fast sherbet. should be fun. I amended the soil today with the last use before harvest of the ecothrive charge and eco-life and water. I am hoping the combination of Megacrop and living soil can be balanced as I love both products for their abilities and use The Herz O.g is an impressive lady so far and has begun to stack those colas very nicely on all her mains. She is looking very productive early on and will no doubt build some very chunky fat colas. No signs of any stress or issues and even at a full feed , she just gulps it up and grows bigger.. I do try to feed to just the point of tip burn to keepnthem at max feeding but with autos and a living soil this has been harder to achieve. it buffers very well in the l.o.s. I have raised her up to get her nearer the lights until I move a much bigger plant put to harvest. Strawberry Cola is slightly taller than the Herz and is beginning to form some nice colas that want to join up already. Another great lady in the making. Monster mash has stopped going vertically finally and makes her the tallest girl in the house ... Her node spacing had me worried initially that she would be clusters of buds rather than long colas but she is starting to close the gaps now so lets see. She has some nice growth overall and once I move a few more plants out I will get her set out a little better for more par. All of these girls have been feeding well and have grown very quickly so far. The next few weeks will be fun too no doubt. grab some of these seeds for an easy ,healthy grow. be safe growmies.

So I started seeing some ember with my microscope. So I thought it's TIME TO HARVEST. I prepared the place for it and put it in darkness for 2 days so my girl would feel that it's time for her to give it all she got. And today 17.06 I chopped her and hanged her upside down to dry. Im sooo happy and can't wait to try it. Now I'm facing a big problem... My country became super hot.. and I'm struggling to keep humidity and temperatures correct 😭🌡️ I'm still gonna try my best to give it a long drying process.. then I'll update you on the smells and everything. I havent even checked the wet weight coz I don't wanna disturb the buds. I'll just give it it's time.. and then better I check the weight when I separate every cola and it will be dry enough😊😊😊 The other girl is having the time of her life now.. all the tent is hers now. What she was dreaming of since the beginning :c.she still has some time left before harvest. I'll attach the pictures!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤👿🌲

Starting off week 13. Plants are healthy and smelling lovely. Looks like this may be their last week. They were watered in this morning with 2 liters of clean water. Let’s go!

It was an honor! Hat Von Anfang bis Ende Spaß gemacht die Dame. Mal Probleme gehabt mit Fäule, nach Kontakt mit Regen! Im Wintergarten untergebracht, musste die Fäule weichen. Ne ohne Spaß, hat einfach aufgehört zu faulen und mega produziert! Denke aber ohne greenhouse eher ein Fall für den Kompost geworden;)☮️

Day 64 - Starting week 10 off and she’s looking gorgeous. Gave her the first week 10 feeding of the trio and all looks amazing with this girl. She’s getting fatter and filling in a ton each day and really looking forward to finishing this grow. Haven’t had a single issue with this grow and gonna try growing a few different strains to have a variety for different ailments! Day 65 - Looking good as ever and getting fat. Gave her some water today and she’ll get her next feeding on Thursday. Just watching her fatten and grow each day and loving it! Day 66 - Still fattening up and getting really frosty. Gave her the second feeding today and she’s drinking it up. Other than that, no big changes today. Day 68 - Got busy yesterday and missed watering her and it showed today. All leaves were wilting but watered her and all looks good now. She’s definitely a gorgeous plant and can’t wait to harvest in the next couple weeks. Day 69 - Closing in on the end of week 10 and not too much to complain about. Just gave her a feeding of the foxfarm and she’s really starting to fatten up and get frosty. I’m thinking about 2-3 weeks left before harvest and can’t wait. Day 70 - Rounding our week 10 and not much to update. She’s fattening and getting frostier everyday still. 2-3 weeks and I think she’ll be ready.

The buds are slowly developing volume, the white pistils stand proudly and are beginning to appear denser. The trichomes are becoming increasingly visible and already give her that fine, sugar-like shine. The leaves remain narrow and elegant, typical of sativa-dominant genetics. The reddish stems add beautiful accents – everything points to a healthy plant in full bloom. A real dance begins! 💃. 🔸The dehumidifier now maintains a constant relative humidity of 50-60%, which I am very satisfied with. I've discovered this week my timer that was powering the 600w LED had developed a fault and was turning on roughly an hour early, I thought the glueberry were taking a little while to kick in to full flower now I understand why. Has probably put the grown behind by about 10 days which is a bit annoying but these things happen. I've taken the 600w led out and replaced it with 2 x 300w leds either side of the hps to spread light more evenly.

All 9 looks great!! Best set of seeds I have ever dropped all 9 look great!!

Nice flowering lower first branches cut off.. New change nutrients on PLAGRON for a blooming.

Great harvest! Ended up a little shy of 12 ounces from the two plants, all super dense sticky top buds!! It’s smooth, flavorful and strong! Love it!

Mites are still a problem ive come to terms with the fact im not going to fully be rid of them so im maintaing them with lady bugs. I will be flipping bery soon watch for the next update!! They are looking beutifull!! Ive decided to take clomes of in house indica as well as cheese. Ive also begun the beginning stages of germination for another @greenpointseeds purple chem seed so be tuned for that.
