Week 12 for Peyote Zkittlez by seedsman She seems to be bouncing back well from that hard pull apart i did to make her canopy flat. She seems to still be getting a little heat burn from the sun but that's okay. No signs of pre flower any time soon.

Well that was a special day, it always make me sad in a way, but this time, I enjoyed the moment a lot. As I wrote in a reply to a comment, things can always be better, and they are with good decisions at the right time. These are the smallest and the biggesr plant, one seed didn't germenated and that's why I had to put a Red Gorilla. Not sure I will try a main mlinning on auto flowering strains any more.... but I think I did it wrong, first I took the one that seemed less strong for the experiment, and having 2 other plants to compete for lights. FIM is definetly a technique I will reuse if needed. It's so nice to have these genetic contrasts, colors, aromas, shapes. Many thanks for all the help you gave, precious. 19/04/2024 lower popcorn buds seems dried already! But still branches don't crack on bends. Will check again on Monday. I finally have received, lately a portable microscope, will be more ususeful next year! But this confirms that lower buds might have need more maturity but did the choice to not over complicate by harvesting in 2 times, my indoor tent is also my drying tent, and I wouldn't have any other place to dry the upper buds separetly while allowing the remaining to harvvest with more maturity. In general I think I might have began the Final part too early. BTW, we smoked the popcorn bud, and it's very promissing, we liked it.

Aug 3: still going strong starting the third week of flowering. I’m putting her in the garage at 9 pm, doing the 730 nm far red light to put plant into dark mode 2 h faster, and then out of garage at 7 am. So 10+ 2 h is 12 h dark and 14 h daylight or a 26 h day. The far red light definitely works as a bloom booster and helps the plants finish faster when the sun is stronger. Did morning foliar spray of Extreme Blend and potassium silicate. Aug 4: always some defoliation to be done and I took out all the small stuff that was growing into the centre. If I had a longer season I could have left some of these small branches but I want the energy directed toward the prime bud sites. Also removing leaves makes it more stable in the wind. Yet another growing trade-off. Aug 5: she looks great coming out of the dark garage this morning. Lots of colas with lots of buds 👍👍 Aug 6: added UV lights from AC Infinity. This far north we run out of strong sunlight before it gets too cold in the fall. By adding UV lights, this will make Edmonton in September seem like California in July. Along with genetics, UV light is the main factor controlling trichome and THC production. Adding UV light for a couple of hours per day centred at peak sun (currently 1:39 pm) should help a lot this far north. At the other end of the light spectrum, I use Forever Green Indoor (FGI) 730 nm far red light. This is the third season using the far red light as a bloom booster and it definitely works. A few seconds at dusk is all it takes to put the plant into dark mode two hours faster, and is like getting a 26 h day. Bud ripen earlier and therefore under stronger sun. Both of these lights are low power LED used for a few hours (UV) or just a few seconds (far red). Gotta love science and technology when it allows us to figure this kind of out.

Day 63- Switched to plain ph’d water at the end of the week. Probably going to be 2 more in the upcoming week as they finish off. #1 is the tallest, and has some big buds, but are bit looser than the rest. #2 has gone beast mode, she is fattening and had hard dense nugs from top to bottom. #3 was a slow start but is quickly gaining on her sister’s. She has about 1 week longer than the rest, but is hard and dense, and is greasy! Did a big defoliation mostly to help ease the final trim when it comes, but to also allow for a little more trichome development as they finish up the remaining nutrients. It’s been a much cooler week so I have been gradually increasing the light intensity to get a final push for some weight and trichome production. Running at about 95% intensity at the moment with the tent hovering around 79-81 degrees freedom units. Checking trichomes daily with my 30x jewellers loupe, mostly cloudy now, with anlmost no amber popping up, just a few on the leaves. I’m watching my other strain as well, hoping the timing will be right for both to come down. I’m not in a rush, really want to maximize these buds, they are already very hard, and should be a good haul. Happy Gardening ❤️🌱🇨🇦😎💨

If you're just joining us, we have these photo-dependant ladies vegging in our 48"x 24" VIVOSUN tent. I have been doing a lot of heavy defoliation and pruning the past week. I also made a few upgrades in the bloom tent and moved a few of the cultivars into bloom under 12/12. Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM. I am honestly super stoked about every single plant in this run. That said, I think I am probably most impressed by the 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE lady from Emerald Triangle Seeds. She is incredibly vigorous. She was started nearly a month after all the others (except the 🦍🍪 GORILLA x COOKIES) and has already caught up to some of the taller plants in the run. Special thanks to those guys for sending the freebies for me to try out! Definitely want to try more from this breeder! She is almost a month behind the other plants and is almost as tall as the tallest cultivars started on 8/10. All in all, everything looks great. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Now, for the weekly break down! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• THIS WEEK'S BREAK DOWN •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 9/30 - Day 52 for Majority of the Garden - 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE: Day 26 - 🦍🍪 GORILLA x COOKIES: Day 39 °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° 🎥 FILMING DAY! 🎥 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 10/1 - Day 53/Day1 of Bloom for Majority of the Garden - 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE: Day 27/Day of Bloom - 🦍🍪 GORILLA x COOKIES: Day 40 °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° 📸 PHOTOSHOOT! 📸 🎥 FILMING DAY! 🎥 👩‍💻 UPGRAYED! 👩‍💻 - Added a BOTANICARE 48" x 48" low-tide flood tray on top of six 4" tall cinder-blocks with a low-profile motorcycle oil-pan for the water to drain into beneath the flood tray. - I transplanted eleven cultivars into black 12" tall Active Aqua brand 12" x 12" square pots and inserted 3' fiberglass garden stakes into the center of the rootball near the main stem of each plant. Each stake goes to the bottom of the 12" pot. All transplants have nice solid root balls due to being slightly rootbound. I knew I'd likely run short on premixed soil, so I decided to transplant the largest plants first. Of course, I ran out of soil after 11 plants were transplanted. It seems like I used a lot more soil than usual with this method and in tgese pots. - I mixed a new batch of soil using the same recipe. I will give the five smallest gorls a few more days to grow taller. That will give this batch of soil a little time to innoculate. - I moved the 11 transplants into the 96" x 48"bloom tent under 12/12 lighting schedule. 🚿FEED DAY!🚿 She received approximately 1 gallon of solution. Giorno 49 Ho girato in fioritura.

Lowered height of light to stop seedlings stretching, also turned humidifier off as soil staying very moist, have barely watered this week once every 4 days, think the soil is absorbing water through the fabric pots from the humidifier. Clip on fan arriving tomorrow, as other fans a bit too powerful seedlings were starting to lean a little. No nutes other than root juice as biobizz allmix quite hot/nutrient rich to start with

Last week before cutting. I eliminated all fertilizers and only gave the flawless finish fertilizer. The smell of the buds is truly that of watermelon - I can't believe it! The plant never suffered and the result was exactly what I imagined. What do you think? In the next few days I will post the photos of the harvest!
