plants are looking great, nice and thick and growing well. Smells are increasing and so is bud density. Giving them water and the occasional top dressing, They should be fine till harvest now. Added in some bokashi grains to the medium to help unlock even more potential for the plants and nutrient uptake. If that's how it works, more a less kitchen sink mentality and does not seem to hurt. Going to be hard to check the trichomes on this plant as it is so dark but will need to keep and eye on it in the next few weeks and it will be getting close to its estimated 13w harvest date. I made a little tea out of some of the flower the spider mites/thrips where not touching. in hopes some of the extract will stay on the plant and prevent them from eating it, I honestly can't tell if it did a thing, I like to think it did something but doubtful. Also got my hands on a bunch of predator mites. There where a bit past the BB date so hopefully they will still be active/alive. Side note uploading videos into the diaries is great and all, but takes to long to resize and process, can't hit save till its all done... no idea what its doing in the backend.

*Week 4 Flower 09/24* Both Mimosa girls appear to be running fine with Mimosa (1) running a little behind but is catching up accordingly. Small oversight in early growth resulted in a minor stunt but she is improving dramatically. Water Feed has increased by half a gallon ( 1gallon clean - .5 gallon nute feed) *Week 4 Flower 09/28 - Mid week update* Both plants are flowering accordingly - Mimosa (1) is a bit taller then Mimosa (2) Buds are becoming dense and covered in trichomes. No deficiencies - No areas of concern - Potassium and Phosphate feeds continue *Week 5 Flower end of week recap - 09/30* Both Mimosa's are flowering nicely - Budsites covered in frosty trichomes. Mimosa (2) looks shorter but that is because her COLA was tied down to expose bottom budsites.

Tag 39: Heute habe ich an alle Seitenarme HolzspieรŸe befestigt.

Day 64 - Beginning of the Final Flowering Week ๐ŸŒฑ Hello, my grow friends! Weโ€™re entering the last flowering week, and it looks like Iโ€™ll be harvesting the plant around Friday, which will be roughly Day 68. ๐Ÿ’ญ Harvest Decision: Itโ€™s a tough decision because while the buds are still growing, the trichomes in the middle and lower parts of the plant are already about 80% milky and 10% amber. Iโ€™ll keep an eye on things and plan to check the trichomes again on Day 65, two days before harvest, to make a final decision. ๐ŸŒฟ Trichome Considerations: I have a feeling that even after cutting the plant and hanging it upside down to dry, some nutrients might still move into the buds, potentially causing them to swell a bit more. This is something Iโ€™m curious to see. ๐Ÿ’ง Humidity, Water, and Temperature: As I mentioned in my last update, I flushed the plant yesterday, just before the start of the final week, with 4 liters of water. This should help flush out any remaining nutrients, and I likely wonโ€™t need to water again before harvest since the pots are thoroughly soaked. The humidity and temperature are holding steady between 52-58% and 20-24ยฐC, which I find ideal. Iโ€™ve got my exhaust system and fan running continuously to ensure no mold develops. ๐Ÿ“ธ Final Updates: Iโ€™ll check in again with an update just before harvest to let you know how things are looking. Remember, Iโ€™m posting new pictures and videos of my plant every day. ๐ŸŒฑ Day 70 - Last Day Before Harvest ๐ŸŒฑ Hey Grow-Friends! ๐Ÿ˜„ Today marks the final day before harvest, and I couldnโ€™t be more excited! As planned, Iโ€™ve kept the plant in darkness for the last 48 hours and havenโ€™t watered it for 6 days. My goal is to let it sit in the dark until this evening, when the time finally comes to chop it down. ๐ŸŒฟโœ‚๏ธ Drying Decisions ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ After much research and considering several factorsโ€”especially the high humidity in my tentโ€”Iโ€™ve decided to go with wet trimming instead of dry trimming. I know dry trimming is often recommended for better bud quality and taste, but my main concern is avoiding mold at all costs. So, to play it safe, Iโ€™ll wet trim the buds, get them into the right size, and then place them in a drying net for about 7 days. Timing Concerns โณ Iโ€™m still figuring out the best timing for transferring the buds into curing jars. Since Iโ€™m wet trimming, I wonโ€™t be able to rely on the classic โ€œstem snap testโ€ to check dryness. But weโ€™ll figure that out as we go along! Final Reflections ๐ŸŒŸ Itโ€™s been an amazing journey, and although I could push the grow a little further, I believe this is the perfect time to harvest. Given my upcoming personal plans, it feels right to finish up now. I canโ€™t wait to report back with the harvest update soon! ๐ŸŒฟ Stay tuned, and as always, thanks for following along!

Pests The amount of sciridae increased a lot (as expected, because the population should be about to collapse), but I also noticed that they were being accompanied by exactly 1 premature spider mite (drop in RH). Because my environment seemed to fall out of an equilibrium, I thought about using fine quartz sand (0.1 - 0.4 mm) and nematodes to hinder the adult Sciaridae from laying eggs and also actively hunt for their larvae, while being able to get back on watering regularly... In the end I actually ordered those - but decided not to use them because the process of drying out the substrate was already in its final stage [foreshadowing: bad idea]. Plants Also, the variegated plant got cellular damage... most likely because my temp. and RH varied too much (VPD and temp. spikes were too extreme and rapid). [Variegated plants in general are less resilient and need a more stable environment]. Setup Until now, I didn't use any fan so that I could keep the moisture and temperature up, but from now on, I will start to activate an exhaust fan at about 0,5 -1 air exchanges per minute. This should homogenize the environment but also decrease the temp. by 1-2 K, and the RH yet again by another 10%. It also allows the plants to transpirate more efficiently, and with that, normalize the VPD. Living Soil In general, when the pests are in control, I will yet again focus on the 'right' environment rather than battling those pests. With this approach, I can keep the moisture content in the tent the way I want to without worrying about anything else.

Fabric pot plants still trailed their plastic pals. Midweek (Wedโ€“Sat) was a ghost town, and by Saturday, growth stalled hardโ€”soil water crashed to 16%. Sundayโ€™s 3L feed (1.6 EC) saved the day, with runoff at a happy 1.5 EC / 800 PPM. Conditions stayed decent, but a high VPD (1.4) midweek and low COโ‚‚ (500 ppm) didnโ€™t help. Light bumped to 65% but dropped to 50% Sunday. ๐Ÿ˜… Lessons: โ†’Nutrient Alert: Overfeeding keeps haunting the fabric potโ€”use lighter feeds (1.0โ€“1.2 EC) for autos. โ†’Donโ€™t Ghost: Midweek neglect killed momentum. Set reminders or automate watering to avoid stalling. โฐ โ†’VPD Matters: High VPD (1.4) stressed plants. Boost humidity to keep it 1.0โ€“1.2. ๐Ÿ’จ Fabric Pot Woes: Dries faster than plasticโ€”check soil daily to keep it consistent. ๐Ÿ‘€ Takeaway: Overfeeding and a hands-off midweek slowed things down, but Sundayโ€™s fix got โ€˜em back on track. Stay on top of feeds and water! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ˜‰

11.07. Cherry Poppers 1# Day 77# Cherry Poppers 2#Day 74# On one of these two plants, the bottom branch broke completely during the storms.. I fixed it and tied it, but there was no way to save it, it could not heal, it could barely hold itself, and it could not absorb water, then it dried up, but no big deal, it's only the bottom branch, this often happens to me every season. Today is the end of the eleventh week for the plants. There were storms all week and with the fact that they spent almost the whole week under stress (they were also under heat stress a couple of days before), I am certainly satisfied with the progress. On Tuesday, they were watered for the last time, with clean water, then it rained, and the next day it rained all day, since then they have not been watered, as soon as the soil dries I will feed them. Below in the table is the food that they received last time, but it is included in this week, and I introduced that as well. Stay High and Keep Growing!!!
