Let's start another week😊The girls are doing great ! They received a single dose of Final Solution and Organic Bloom Stimulator.White Widow X Big Bud has started to give off a very intense aroma.Due to the density in the tent, it was necessary to install an additional fan.Looking at the progress, I expect a harvest sooner than declared.

Hey! Welcome to week 8! Karen is mid way through her flowering stretch. Please check back to last week as I update daily so the week is now complete. I count about 20 colas now. Day 51: Have reconfigured the tent, see video. Karen is now 36cm and still stretching. Karen has more light now. Smell is still there hits you when you open the tent. Fertigated 2l. Day 52: Height: 39cm. Karen's scent is heavenly. I have reconfigured again and installed some upgrades. Better reflector. Much bigger carbon filter. Increased airflow. Better config. More efficient pot layout. Karen is lovely. I am grateful to her and for her, so I wrote her a little poem, I hope she liked it. "Karen! Oh Karen! The phoenix of flowers, Three lowly weeks she struggled in vain, Shadowed and starved for five hundred hours, He slowly wept to witness her pain. Karen! Oh Karen! I P-H'd your showers, and in the fourth week you started to gain, Hallowed and hard you survived as you cowered, I thought you meek, I was wrong once again. Karen! Oh Karen! Forgave me my howlers. She set a pace, a pace she maintained, Now shes a girl at the peak of her powers, And so I'm a geek, with buds on the brain." Day 53: Approx 48h into a simulated dry spell. Alright I think it is time for Karen to get her first MAJOR defoliation. I will update shortly with photos and info. I will also be doing some gentle LST to separate the colas a bit. Day 53.5: Defoliation and LST. Finally got chance to photograph that bunda. Enjoy! Day 53.75: Bit of a fail. Messed up the timer and the lights ended up being off for about 3 or 4 hours. Because I was cooling the room (open window) to keep temperature in the tent down, without any light the temperatures absolutely plummeted as it is sub-zero outside. By the time I realised and turned the lights on, the temp in the main tent had dropped to 14 degrees celsius. Whoops! How is that for mistreating your girl? Defoliated about 80% of her leaves, 4 nodes, significant LST, then stuck her in the cold and dark for 1/6 of a day. Not to mention she is now almost 3 days into a "dry spell". There do not seem to be ill effects, and Karen has already begun to respond to the LST; all the colas that had been changed in angle are now upright again. The dry spell I keep mentioning, there is a method behind my madness, I have spotted one or two small flies and I think they may be fungus gnats. I am starting to suspect that the 2nd seedling in the Purple OG Punch Auto grow was actually beheaded by fungus gnat larvae. So I am drying out the mediums as much as I dare. I am closely monitoring the plants, so far the only one I have had to break the drought for is Enigma; all the girls in big pots haven't even noticed it's dry yet. How far am I going to push it? Well I will judge it on a plant by plant basis, but quite honestly I am hoping to see physical signs of thirst before I breakdrought. Of all the plants the two I think will respond most strongly to this will be Karen and Bertha, because of where they are. Karen here is actually probably 4 weeks into flowering rather than two, so about now is a good time to give her a little hydration stress. I do not think I will push it past 5 days, as RH is 34%. By now all the plants will be compensating for the lack of moisture and the high temperatures and low humidity. They will be taking more and more moisture out of the coco, and as the coco dries further and further down, those plants that have space will start desperately growing roots to find moisture. Mark my words, 24 hours after I end this drought, every plant in the tent will throw out crazy growth. Day 54: Ended drought and fertigated 6l, no run off, I will re-fertigate tomorrow. Karen is still stretching her height post LST is now 37cm. The two tallest colas seem to have stopped but the other colas are still stretching. Day 55: Alright so it has been 5 hours since lights on, and Karen is looking in good shape, all her drooping leaves have perked back up and she has added quite a bit of foliar growth. The colas are all still rising, except perhaps the two tallest. This girl is absolutely loaded with pistils, I'm starting to see trichomes on the sugar leaves, but trich production hasn't started in earnest yet. She has a least 20 colas, and 6 of them are thicker/taller than the primary cola at her tip. Every one of her nodes has reinforced itself with a bulbous growth and these cola branches are swelling rapidly. I am increasingly of the opinion that, all being well, this girl is going to surprise us all with her yield. My first grow, which was just mucking about really, I got 60-70g of the two main plants, and they were just bare sticks with 2 colas. Although her height is less than theirs was, 2/3 of their height was bare stick... whereas every mm of her is befoliaged and living. So in terms of the height of the actual cola I think they were about comparable in usable space on a per cola basis. The main difference being that Karen has 20+ colas whereas they had 2 primary and 2 lower. I know that it is probably unrealistic to expect more than 70g from a single auto grown indoors. Nevertheless my gut tells me this baby could achieve at least 100g, perhaps as much as 150g. The next few weeks will determine that, but given where we were in week 3 I will be grateful for any yield of quality bud. I have dropped the lights down to 18/6 from 'tonight' onwards. I really have no idea how long we have left for Karen. According the the "brochure" she flowers for 7-8 weeks, with a total crop time of 9 weeks. The problem is I don't know what a total crop time is? Does that mean from seed to finish? If so Karen is clearly not going to be anywhere near that timescale.I am going to go ahead an assume that, for my plant anyway, the first 4 weeks were veg weeks. I think it is fair to count week 5 and 6 as flowering because pistils were popping out very early in week 5 if not before. So that makes this week four of flowering. I am going to assume 8 weeks rather than 7, so I think we have another 4 full weeks give or take a week. On that basis I am expect harvest week to be around week 12 or so. I am not fixed on this though, I am determined not to harvest this girl early. Day 55: Photos taken 00:00 9/3/23 Strong 24h of veg growth as predicted. Day 56: Existing leaves continue to swell. Stretch appears to be slowing. I've taken so many media this week that I cannot scroll down far enough to select a recent thumbnail. Probably Karen's biggest week in terms of changes. She is looking like she is going to impress. Height 39cm.

Both plants are developing splendidly - despite the not so good weather. Pot #2 is now 49 cm high and pot #3 67 cm, the size difference remains stable. More and more flowers are developing, as can be seen in the videos. As it is still quite windy and I don't really know what I can expect from the two plants, I have now supported both with bamboo sticks. And they have become thirstier, but they can both get by with a liter every 3 days. The scent is also getting a little more intense on the balcony. But thanks to my flower boxes, which are planted with fragrant flowers, you can't smell anything of my two beauties in the area.

Both clones are Hermi they have had low stress at most havent a clue to why they turned hermi there momma was female 100 percent .ive managed to find all bulbs over 20 throught the plants and plucked them out last week but today i found 2 open male flowers pinched them off tightly hoping not to spread or let any pollin get airborn .Crossing my fingers i havent missed any male parts . Other than that these plants got over 5' tall durring the stretch .only expected them to reach 4' must be because they turned hermi there going to produce alot of long fat buds if i can keep the male flowers from opening its alot to monitor so probably impossible to do so but ive got to try' The june heat of summer is brutal cant keep my day temp under82 and when it does my rh goes up to 59 only have a swamp cooler and it doesnt get under 79 in the room outside the tent so my lights run at night and go dark during the hottest time of day wich is 80 at best for july and auga😔st are my worst months without A/C its 105 outsid now and will climb to 120+ in aug. ill be lucky if theres any trycombs left by mid july when its ready to harvest .

-- day 29 -- Started week 5 off with watering the plants. The nutrients from the soil are probably used by now so I'm adding a first small dose of Alga Grow. -- day 30 -- Its been 10 days since I changed the lights to 12/12. Switched the lights to full capacity with the bloom mode on. -- day 31 -- I'm already seeing the first signs of flowering today. Noticed first signs of light burn so raised the lights to 55 cm above canopy. -- day 32 -- Watered the plants with 2 ml/l alga grow + 2 ml/l bloom. -- day 34 -- I think I've been too cautious with nutrients. Plants are relatively light green colored. Not sure if I mentioned this before but I chose to schedule my lights so that they turn on at 22:00 and off at 10:00 in the morning. I did this because the room warms up with lights on and keeps the temperature up at night without any heating on to save energy. Only disadvantage; I can only look at my plants in the morning and late evening ;)

FINAL WEEK OF VEG FINAL WEEK OF VEG! Ayyyye let’s gooooooo ! Got a second lollipop done on this girl about 2 or 3 days ago . I did a little damage to a branch that has taken longer than one day to recover . At the time of this update I have yet to check on it again after taping it up to see if it is still limp . I may lose that branch RIP. I decided to take the tape off my other branch I broke while stretching her down under the net a while back figuring it’s been enough weeks for that to scar over . She healed beautifully ! The last of the Mohicans are here ! My new untested ORGANIC base bloom nutrients have arrived via mail today . I have been holding off on positing this update until now 1. to get a good difference in growth 2. To avoid needing to repeat having to defoliate an ADDITIONAL time before flipping to flower . I’m going to do a defoliation light-moderate I don’t think a heavy one is needed but I am a little trigger happy when it comes to defoliation šŸ˜‚. I plan to do one FINAL MAJOR DEFOLIATION AROUND WEEK 3 FLOWER to try and get an awesome HIGH bud to leaf ratio idk how I keep picking these strains with high leaf to bud ratios I’d like less maintenance as we all would right? Still haven’t figured out what I’ll do with these clones as I don’t want to flower them they’d be trash bud underneath this mother clucker. Don’t forget the new Timelapse I started 2 weeks ago to capture our 5x5 Cereal Milk by RQS Flower up! Lastly I decided against making more clones when I did this second lollipopping sinc so already don’t know what I’m gonna do with the few successful clowns I managed to make from the last experiment. I’m really hoping this resilient girl turns out to be a šŸ”„DANK PHENO THAT HAS SOME TASTY POTENT BUD bc having a few clones lying around already would be golden. I’ll leave it there. Give us a like if you're still here , just tuning in and enjoying watching her grow with me

🌱 Week 4 Veg: Thriving Despite the Chill 🌟 As we close out Week 4 of veg, I couldn’t be more impressed with how resilient and strong the Zamnesia Runtz are growing! Despite the freezing cold temperatures outside—evident in some snapshots of my frosty mint plants in the veggie garden—these beauties are thriving in their cozy indoor setup. The Aptus Holland Nutrient Spray: A Deep Dive This week, I treated the Runtz to a refreshing shower with Aptus Holland’s nutrient spray, a game-changer in plant health and vigor. Let’s break it down: • What Is It? Aptus nutrient sprays are foliar feeds designed to deliver essential nutrients directly to the leaves. They provide immediate uptake, bypassing the roots and giving the plant a quick boost in vitality. • Why Use It? Foliar feeding is especially beneficial during veg because it enhances nutrient absorption and promotes lush, healthy foliage. It’s also a fantastic way to supplement nutrients if the roots are growing but not yet absorbing nutrients at peak efficiency. • What Does It Do? Aptus sprays improve plant metabolism, strengthen cellular structure, and boost resistance to environmental stresses—perfect for battling those colder temps! • How I Applied It I used a fine mist to ensure even coverage across all leaves, aiming for the undersides where stomata are most active. Afterward, the plants looked vibrant and energized, ready to keep pushing those gorgeous leaves. A New Partnership: Grove Bags and TerpLoc Technology I’m thrilled to announce a new partnership with Grove Bags! Known for their TerpLoc technology, these bags are a true revolution in cannabis storage and curing. • Why Grove Bags? Grove Bags are designed to create the perfect microclimate for cannabis. Their TerpLoc technology helps preserve terpenes—the essential oils responsible for the flavor, aroma, and effects of cannabis—by locking them in while allowing oxygen and moisture to escape. • How They Work TerpLoc bags combine several unique layers: • Moisture Control: Maintains ideal humidity levels to prevent over-drying or mold. • Oxygen Barrier: Blocks excessive oxygen exposure, which can degrade terpenes. • UV Protection: Shields the buds from harmful light that can alter their chemical composition. • Why This Matters For anyone who’s spent months cultivating a crop, ensuring the harvest cures and stores properly is the final crucial step. Grove Bags will play an essential role in preserving the quality and flavor of this Runtz grow, keeping the terps intact for that unforgettable smoke experience. A big thank you to Grove Bags for joining this journey. I can’t wait to showcase their role in the final stages of this grow! Photo Magic: Nikon P900 & Sony A6000 Capturing the Runtz in all their glory is part of the journey, and this week’s shots were nothing short of stunning. Using both the Nikon P900 and Sony A6000 allowed for crisp, detailed photos that highlight the beauty of these young plants. From their vibrant green tones to the intricate structure of their leaves, these images tell the story of strength and potential. Week 4 Veg: What It Means Week 4 in veg is a critical time in a grower’s journey. By now, the plants have developed a strong root system and are focusing on building structure. This is when: • Leaf Development Peaks: Bigger leaves mean more photosynthesis and energy production. • Growth Accelerates: Plants use this time to set the foundation for flowering, with nodes spacing out and stems thickening. • Preparation for Transplanting: Root systems are expanding, making it the perfect time to plan for a move into larger pots, as we’ll be doing next week! Looking Ahead Next week, the Runtz will graduate to larger pots—not their final AutoPot homes yet, but an essential step for continued growth. This transition will help the roots spread further, setting the stage for a thriving flowering phase. Community & Gratitude A huge thank you, as always, to my sponsors and supporters: • Aptus Holland • Pro-Mix Soil • TrolMaster Ecosystem • ThinkGrow LED • Future of Grow LED • CannaKan Germination Station • Zamnesia and Plagron for making this Eternity Cup journey so special • Ziggi Papers • And now, our newest partner: Grove Bags To the amazing Grow Diaries community, you continue to inspire me daily. I’ve been blown away by the incredible work and creativity I’ve seen in other diaries—it’s motivating and humbling all at once. Good luck to everyone; let’s make this journey one to remember! šŸ’š Final Thoughts From the frosty outdoors to the warmth of my grow room, these Runtz are proving their resilience and promise. Each week, I’m reminded of why I fell in love with this strain, and the excitement for what’s to come keeps growing. Stay tuned for Week 5, where we’ll delve into the transplant process, nutrient updates, and more. Let’s keep learning, growing, and sharing the magic together! 2 plants made it to harvest. Small nugs, about an ounce per plant dry. A lot of frosty trim and small nugs I’ll be using for hash later. I had rooting issue when I flipped to flower that definitely negatively effected nutrient uptake. Small yield but quality is good. Smells almost like a sugary jelly bakery. Cured for a week, tastes sweet almost.

Well folks, this was a PPFD and CO2 controlled grow and I didn't use any bloom boosters like the Big Bud or Canna Boost etc.. Results are crazy. I managed to collect over 760 grams of dried and fine trimmed nugs. The flowering lights is the LEDWisdom Coral 600W IP67 water and dust proof grow lights. For the first two weeks, I used Rosa 400W and Rosette 200W grow lights from LEDWisdom. When Coral arrived, I changed the light setup so the total lights used is 600Watts. Anyway Coral grow lights have near 3.0 umols/J efficacy and makes your garden yield like crazy no matter what. I'm sure I would have collected more if I used a bloom booster but I wanted to show you guys that you can achieve great results with a great grow light even without flower boosters. You can check my other diaries growing with the Rosa 400W and Rosette 200W. These lights are also killing it and they have around 2.7 umol/J efficacy. Lights were drawing 590 Watts from the power outlet on the wall so I can say that the whole grow yielded more than 1.3 grams per Watt. These strains are not heavy yielders except the Chocolate Chunk but I only had one plant of this strain and she was the smallest plant in the tent. It didn't affect the total yield much. Pink Kush yields are pretty standart but the quality is exceptional. On the crossbreed strain, yield was slightly more than the Pink Kush plants and the yield from each strain is like below; -Chocolate Chunk: 80 grams -Pink Kush: 320 grams -Purple Punch x Pink Kush: 360 grams I made some COB's and also some kief and has with the trim. there wasn't much to trim in the end because I kept my plants in good shape. This was a joy to grow and now I have an amazing stash of high quality dried material stored in vacuum. I'm ready for another pandemic but I hope we won't have one šŸ˜… Wish you the best of luck in your garden. Stay green šŸ’Ŗ

Wow week 8 and Pineapple Express#2 Fem seems to be flipping to flower. Our Elixir CBD Auto is in full flower and continues to give off these peppermint vibes, this is definitely a medical strain and even though shes so small i have learnt alot from being sure to keep your Autos in full sun at all times during the vegetative stage ro ensure maximum yeild. From what ive gathered is that the strain itself isnt a big yeilder and due to the fact that she has not had enough sunlight we will end up with the small head you see here. The Good news is i still have one seed of hers left and next time i will be planting her will be in season😁.Our Hindu Kush Auto continues to flower beautifully and her smell? Nothing short of incrediblešŸ˜..Our Purple Kush CBD Auto has impressed me most of all, she seems to have reacted so well to the training and the nutes as well as the minimal sunlight conditions. She stands at about 17 cm in length and her side stalks are about 10 cm in length..Our Girlscout Cookies Auto has exploded and is overtaking her grow bag rapidly, hopefully her training and folage removal has worked in allowing her to grow even larger now...Our Blue Cheese and Granddaddy Black are growing up quick and with all our strains having now received some light folage removal i expect they will use that extra energy to really bust out.
