This strain must be exclusive to this parts of the world let alone this country, besides my mentor or people we know separately only a handful of us are aware of this strain’s existence. It has been a couple of years, matter of fact the last time I heard or smoked this strain was during the lockdown days of COVIVI, I should kiss myself on the forehead for collecting this strain’s seeds. I would be lying if I gave you a run down of what to expect… I don’t even remember it’s scent nor how the bud looks like. Though I am loving how the seedling is loving the grow medium, but to better legitimise my growing skills in future I must just get seeds from reputable breeders, knowing myself, I will be a bee when it comes to selecting strains, I’ll probably get myself these reddish strains from sweet seeds or purple strains from sensi seeds. Looking forward to tackling hurdles of growing this strain.

It has been a week of snap snap snap! let's call it accidental toppings - yes - multiple. The OG Kush seems to be quite fragile compared to other strains I've grown. Continued LST has resulted in me snapping off the end of the main stem and another major branch. Both days within switching the light regime. Now I have to fill up the net using lateral branches. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period (32hrs) prior to switching light regime at the beginning of the week - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Light green spots and other spots noted on big fan leaves, possibly a calcium or other deficiency. Spots are lighter shade, irregular though some are circular. End up turning bronze colour dust. No pests have been spotted during extensive inspections. The problem remains to older leaves only and doesn't seem to be affecting any new growth. I also think I may have some Nitrogen toxicity due to my CalMag solution having a NPK ratio of 6-0-0. Getting some low N solution this week so hopefully that will address any impact on the flowering stage. The plant still seems to be strong, forming strong branches and massive fan leaves. Growth is being tucked under the net to fill it up. Pruned a few stems and leaves from below the canopy which may never see the light of day. Run-off EC still remains below target. Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. Fertigation is maintained now to once a day (at lights on) to maintain the target EC. Light period is during the night time to better maintain heat/humidity conditions during light off period (which happens during daytime). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The grow setup includes ; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 (gives me great control over the environment) - ventilation fans - aquarium heater for nutrients solution (for winter use only) - small oil heater (for winter use only) - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots (as final pots) and 3.5L general plastic pots (for seedling stage) - Canna Coco substrate mixed with 40% perlite - GHE Flora Trio as base nutrients and various additives - pH and EC/TDS meters - 2x Govee Thermo/Hygro meters (one at canopy, the other at the roots level - these allow for external monitoring and recording) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some strain info from Royal Queen Seeds ; An amazing mix of genetics background - Its true genetics are unknown. Some say OG Kush is a mix of ChemDawg with a Lemon Thai and Pakistani Kush. Others say that it’s just a special cutting of ChemDawg from the early 90s. The most obvious trait of OG Kush is its strong, unique, very dank, slightly citrus aroma, almost like fuel or strong detergent. The flavour of OG Kush is equally as strong and dank, with a long-lasting aftertaste. Strong mental and physical high - OG Kush is an extremely strong cannabis strain, with most experienced smokers listing it as one of their favourites. The effect is as strong physically as it is mentally. Though its effect is like an Sativa, the strain's genetics are mostly Indica. The effect is as strong and complex as the flavour. 26.4.25: The plants were watered with 3 ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3, containing the following nutrients:- ♡ 1/2 Tsp Sea K(elp) by Greenleaf nutrients ♡ 1/4 Tsp Ecothrive Biosys. 27.4.25: I LST'd again by adjusting the tie downs. For FastBuds Mystery seed auto #1 and RQS Northern Lights autoflower, this will probably be the last time I adjust the fabric ties, as they're now well in to flower. Hulkberry was LST'd again today, She is looking absolutely beautiful 😍 Retied some branches down and added a couple of clips. Keeping the canopy as even as possible. 29.4.25: HulkBerry is looking great. Nice green colour, without being too dark. The plant has taken well to the LST training. It doesn't need adjusting much at the moment as the growth hasn't become crazy, just now. Another week of flower in the books. The Afghani x Mac1 auto is finally starting to get some terp production and smelling like exotic fruit...papaya leaning. She's drinking water multiple times a day, and I've honestly stopped measuring. I give her water when she's light, and that's about twice a day. She was also top dressed this week with 1tsp of 284 bloom and 1tbsp of guano.

Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Week 9 Hi everyone 😁 I am very pleased how girls are developing in recent days. Aroma is very fruity and a bit gasy. Sort of riped mango / pineapple. They are so frosty alraady and buds are developing very well. Was little bit worried that last week defoliation may stunt girls too much but really this strain showing no signs of any stress. The way things are looking these girls may be ready for harvest in about 2 weeks😁 Will keep updating progress of this week every couple days. Have a great week everyone 🍀✌️ 18/09 Day 57 Started watering with approx. of 2.5 ltr of solution until runoff per pot and this should last for 2 days. Girls like this magic mixture very much 😁 21/09 Day 60 Cant belive it's only 2 months since planting seeds. Everything is going well. Thankfully no issues at all. Slow develop girl "Nuna" it's way behind the other 2 girls soon to be ladies "Luna" and "Sweet Mary Jane". but I'm glad that I have kept her as her flowers are small but frosty and she will be perfect for some cannabutter or bubble hash. Other 2 girls as all see they are absolutely gorgeous. Buds are gaining weight and that frost OMG love it. Will get some close up pics of trichomes over the weekend. 23/09 Day 62 Still lots of white pistils and currently trichomes level at 2-5% amber and rest are clear and milky. My personal preference for harvest 60-80% amber so will keep feeding with nutrients for few more days and will keep monitoring trichomes before switching to only water. 24/09 Day 63 End of week 9 Not much work this week. All been going great. Buds are now very sticky and they are smelling very fruity sort of lemony, zesty, apples and mangos. Thank you all for all the support, comments and likes. So it’s been another week of just keeping an eye on the environment my temps are a little higher than I would have liked but keeping the balance with humidity so should be ok, there’s a little yellowing under the canopy pretty normal but a little early in my opinion so got that to watch and maybe up the nitrogen. All the bottoms were stripped some selective defoliating is due next week and one after
