Great week this week, inside the tent and out. Carl 2 is doing great, and has mostly acclimatized to the winds and heat of the outdoors. UKBS 2 is seemingly recovering (knock on wood) from whatever was degenerating it's stem. It must have been mold or something similar as about 1/3 of the stem became dead wood and had to be removed carefully. I've been trawling the internet and all sources of horticultural forums I possibly can, and yielded somewhat inconclusive results. Everything from ants, to mold, to stem borers. None of which seemed to have been the case here. In any case, I took a whole ton of cuttings from UKBS 2 and am attempting to root them. Great genetics, and not to sound like a broken record but I'd hate to lose such a vigorous pheno. =-= Inside the tent, things are also going quite well. UKBS 1 is getting quite chunky, seems to be an interesting pheno. As for Carl 1, oh boy. I came to find out that this strain is a real interesting one. According to the breeder, it's a cross of C99 grapefruit x "D" Haze; pheno hunted and backcrossed in the 90s and stabilized over nearly 30 years. Loooooooong flowering times. In other news, the timelapse is out as well. Updates as usual. -6/3/2021 - Busted out the Rebel T5 and took some real nice budshots. Carl 1 is quite frosty, UKBS 1 is quite chunky. Also got a cool upskirt shot. -6/8/2021 - First orange pistils showing for Carl 1, looking real good. The clones of UKBS 2 are all doing well apart from one of them.

The photo version of this strain did nicely. It handled a newbie grower in a small space perfectly. I think with good lighting and more nutrients I’d have had a really good yield.

🌿 Amnesia Skunk Auto — Week 9 From Seed (Week 5 Flower) We’re back with the Amnesia Skunk auto, and before we dive into this week, let’s take a second to understand how we got here. This run has been a bit different from the traditional approach. Even though we’re working with autoflowers, the environment has been set under a 12/12 light cycle from seed — what we’ve been calling a “no veg” approach. Now, to clarify — it’s not that the plant doesn’t vegetate. It does. But it does so on its own internal clock, not because we extended light hours to push vegetative growth. So what happens? The plant never gets the signal to fully stretch and build structure like in a classic veg phase, which results in: • more compact plants • tighter node spacing • earlier transition into flower • and a much faster lifecycle overall And that’s exactly what we’re seeing here. ⸻ 🌱 This Week — The Story of the White Hairs (Pistils) This week, the stars of the show are the white hairs — the pistils. Those fine white strands you’re seeing shooting out of the buds are the female reproductive organs of the plant. Their role is simple, but powerful: They are designed to catch pollen. Each pistil is connected to an ovule inside the calyx. If pollinated, that’s where seeds would form. But in our case — no pollen, no seeds — so the plant continues to push energy into: 👉 resin production 👉 bud swelling 👉 terpene expression That’s why you’ll notice: • fresh, bright white pistils = active growth phase • constant new pistil production = plant still building mass And right now? She’s in full production mode. ⸻ 🌿 Structure & Development What’s really interesting here is the morphology. These are currently the most compact plants in the room, sitting around ~90 cm, but: • dense structure • tight internodes • bud sites stacked closely The buds themselves are already: • forming tight • showing early frost • pushing aroma earlier than expected For a plant that never had a traditional veg window, this is honestly impressive. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment & Feeding We’ve kept things stable and consistent: • Temperature: ~28°C • Humidity: ~65% RH • pH: ~6.5 • EC: ~2.0 Water intake is sitting at around 1.5L per plant per day, which tells us: 👉 metabolism is active 👉 root zone is functioning well 👉 demand is increasing as flowers build ⸻ ⚡ On the “No Veg” Approach This run continues to reinforce something interesting: You don’t always need a long veg phase to get quality results. What you get instead is: • speed • control over height • uniform canopy • faster turnover But also: • smaller overall plant size • less room for recovery from stress • everything happens quicker, so mistakes show faster It’s a different rhythm — not better, not worse — just a different way to grow. ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect Next Week Looking ahead: You should expect: • pistils continuing to multiply • buds starting to stack and swell more aggressively • resin production increasing noticeably • aromas becoming stronger and more defined What not to expect (yet): • no major calyx swelling peak yet • no heavy pistil browning yet • no final density — we’re still building We’re still in that “construction phase”, not the finishing stage. ⸻ 🤝 Gratitude As always — thank you. To everyone following: • the day ones • the new eyes • the silent watchers • the supporters • even the critics To the community, to GrowDiaries, to the sponsors, to the genetics behind this run — and to everyone growing alongside us. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 📸 P.S. – The Eye Behind the Lens All photos in this diary (for now — except for the ones showing the camera, which I took with an iPhone) are taken with a Sony A6700 paired with a Sony full-frame macro lens and a few more. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. 7/10, 4:33 AM I’m gonna try a couple brothers Grimm seeds. Rosetta Stone has one of the best medicinal effects I found and they flower really fast so they should be good.

Hello again guys and welcome to day 89! The girls are taking their time but finally the trichomes are turning milky. As you can see from the videos, they still aren’t quite there yet. I really want them to reach their maximum potential instead of rushing it. I think in maybe a week or so they should be ready! Thanks for stoping by

hello fellow growers! it's the last couple weeks of this run and i couldn't be happier with the results, it's been a learning curve that shoots to the sky, amazing genetics that helps a lot, resistant and sturdy plants with a lot of terps and easy to grow, it's not hard to get to know them and they will tell you what the issues is and quick! they will let you know if sum wrong! they don't like PH flux and high EC (a lot of nutes). i'd say any of the fast buds line is a great starting plant for beginners but you still have the possibility to really cream these babies out and maximize yields n quality. i'm really happy and can't wait until next run!✅❤️ bless!! //Highone420

QUESTION: I've been using a 200W LED which is supposed to replace a 400W HPS. She draws actual 200W. Should I now put the wattage used to 200W or 400W ? ? ? ? ? ------------------------ What started as as a 'just for fun' - project turned out to be my longest going grow ever. I cut her down yesterday when it was still 2017. Today it's 2018! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! For the ones wondering why it took 27 weeks: I started under a very small 50W bulb as it was only a just fun project so she vegged for ages. She would have been way faster if I grew her under normal conditions ;) The wet weight is 384 with the branches still on like in the hanging pictures. I only cut the bigger fan leaves off. Haven't smoked it yet so I just put it to 50/50 sat/ind -> smoke report to be updated... :) _________ After trimming, cutting and drying I got 54 grams on the scale. Well, I'm a bit dissapointed considering the outcome in grams but I think the quality is quite ok this time. Smoke report to follow soon... ;)

She had a great start but then it degraded. I had to cut a bunch of burned leaves. Since last topping new sites spread out and she seems to recover. # D53 I went walk in forest and disovered very nice mulch with mycelium to prepare JMS (JADAM microbial solution) with it: Ingredients: - 200/300g of forest mulch with mycelium - 2 gallons of dechlorinate water - 3 cooked potatoes - 7.5 gram of sea salt Preparation: - Add the water to the bucket. - Add potatoes inside a mesh filter (pantyhose) and add forest mulch to an other filter, stick them to the bucket. - Add salt, mix the water to dissolve it. - Massage the patatoes filter then massage the mulch filter. - Some reaction could be observed, the water moves like a current in the sea. - Place the bucket covered with tshirt inside grow tent for approx 48 hours. # D55 Feed with 3 liters of dechlorinated water and JMS at 1:10 ratio. # D56 Prepare AACT based on: - 5 liters dechlorinated water - 15 ml molasse of sugar can - 15 ml Bokashi tea - 30 ml JMS - 125 grams vermicompost - 12.5 grams nettle - 12.5 grams horsetail - 5 grams growing guano - 5 grams fish hydrolyzate - 5 grams epsom salt + calmag # Day 57 Feed with 3.8 liters of AACT.
