Welcome Back!💚 Die fünfte Blütewoche ist vorbei und die Blütenentwicklung ist in vollem Gange. Es zeichnet sich eine schöne, Dichte Blütenstruktur ab, mit immer weiter ansteigendem Trichom Anteil. Das Aroma nimmt ständig zu und es sind fruchtige und süßliche Aromen wahrnehmbar. Die Sonnensegel wurden nochmal ausgedünnt. Außerdem gab es diese Woche noch einen leckeren PK Komposttee, mit eigenen zusätzen. Da es aktuell so kalt draußen ist, sind die Werte auch etwas anders. This was a great run overall. Nothing to complain about once she got into the pot and tent but herself. She flourished and did great with topping. Hoping she smokes real good. Lights now off. The plants were doing great, i feel that this strain can go for a better grow. Overwatering was an issue for me because of this strain packs buds and leaves are very little on it. Next grow for this strain i will need to improvise the watering schedule. This strain takes up very little water.

-did some defoliation with a little Lolipopping -seeing first trichomes building on sugarleafs -its getting a little cold in my basement (roughly 18.5 degrees C when the lights are off) -had to tie the blue sunset sherbert down a bit because it was getting too tall

These big girls are growing phenomenal. It's been a while since I've grown this strain and wow I don't remember them getting this big. Flower period has started but they're not done with the final stretch which is wild. Definitely have a great smell to them. All in all Happy

Overview of the whole grow so far.. everything is looking healthy no signs of mold pest resistance is there with the help of the dragonflies and natural ladybugs and other predators in the garden including garter snakes.. the snakes just coil around the trunk of the trees.. Everyday the odor of the garden grows stronger skunky and sweeter.. Cinderella 99 has the strongest odor and most fragrant buds, followed by the Purple Haze, then the Strawberry Cough then the Afghan hash plant and then DJ Short Blueberry but to be fair the blueberry and the Afghan we're late bloomers as we all know

I had lots of issues with this as it was my first grow essentially and I kept running into VPD issues, whether it be too high of a temperature or humidity, but that is not the fault of the plant or genetics, just have a tiny cabinet to grow in so it's hard to dial things in. There is not much of a smell, it's kind of like a Michael's craft store, or potpourri? It's very subtle and kind of sweet, but it does not stand out. Hopefully, the smell will come out more once it's dried and starting to cure? We'll see. Also, I have no idea the amount of wet weight harvested, I just sort of cut the whole plant at the base and then hung it upside down. 😅

Moving right along, tucked inside out of the weather for a couple days but back outside and happy now.

WEEK 6 This Black Runtz is growing at a vigorous pace and has handled all training perfectly so far. I’ve topped her to 16 shoots, and she’s developed with a very even structure. Overall, her growth has been quite stretched up to this point. I’m hoping she won’t get too tall later during flowering. Everything still looks really promising and gives hope for a great bloom phase. Next week, I’ll switch the lights to 12 hours to initiate flowering. This week, my lamp ran at 500 PPFD, and I watered once with plain water and once with nutrient solution.

¡Hola! Esta fue la 8va semana de floración. La planta formo de manera rápida muchos mas tricomas de los que tenia la semana pasada. De hecho, que haya tenido tantos pistilos y pocos tricomas me estaba preocupando, pero estos se desarrollaron muy rápido esta semana. Como ya nos estamos acercando al corte, estoy regando solamente con agua, mas allá de que con cultivos 100% orgánicos no sea necesario, me gusta bajarle un poco la carga al suelo para mejorar mas aun los sabores que nos otorga lo orgánico. Las fotos corresponden al ultimo día de la semana, el sábado 03/04/2021. No estuve muy inspirada, así que las fotos son aburridas. Hay fotos que la planta esta en otro lugar, ya que la movi abajo de un techo porque hay pronostico de lluvia para esos días, y es importante en estas semanas criticas que no estén bajo una tormenta. This week brought some challenges—I discovered thrips on the leaves of my plant. Thankfully, the infestation isn’t too severe yet, and I acted quickly to address the issue: 1. Sprayed the plant with plain water to knock off any pests. 2. Removed the top layer of soil. 3. Applied BioBizz Leaf Coat as a protective measure. I really hope this will help. After reading up on these nasty pests, I learned that they can completely devastate the leaves if left unchecked. Unfortunately, I have only myself to blame for their appearance. Due to the cold weather, I’ve been using a heater in the room with my growbox, which has caused the humidity to drop significantly. It sometimes dips as low as 30%, and it rarely goes above 50%. Most of the time, the humidity hovers around 35-40%, which is an ideal breeding ground for thrips. To answer the obvious question—yes, I do have a humidifier. However, my growbox has a very powerful exhaust fan (315 m³/h for an 80x80 space), so the air is refreshed too quickly for the humidifier to make a lasting difference. Aside from fighting thrips, I also made some adjustments to my grow this week. On Day 20, I did a little LST. Honestly, I wasn’t planning on using any training techniques in this grow, but I decided to give it a try anyway. One thing I can say for sure—I want to skip LST in my next grow. It’s quite inconvenient to water the plant when the leaves are practically touching the soil. Additionally, I defoliated the first two sets of leaves. I felt this was necessary to improve airflow around the plant and reduce the risk of pests spreading further. Watering: Day 17: 400 ml Day 20: 500 ml I’m keeping a close eye on the plant and hope to overcome these challenges successfully.
