Mar 2 -widow 2 is dead. went to the shop and got myself a barney's farm critical kush, into a paper towel What's the plan here? Hoping for 4 different strains to give me 4 different reactions to the same conditions and maybe I'll find something that likes the space i've set up I've never done direct to substrate before, but seems to work fine. Doing the kush in a bowl just because it feels more comfortable to me, but likely not a big deal What are we doing different this time? I stopped watering by spraying the soil and started hand watering 250-500ml daily. I use calmag 5ml/gal every feeding. So far they've responded well and I look forward to the weeks to come. Totally recovered from the topping last week, they are expanding a lot so im guiding them thru the net, i do notice a small deficiency of some nutrients, but of course as GHSC indicates in the package the food is for 8 weeks, so totally agree with their calculation, if everything goes alright im planning to turn them to flower in 2 weeks more or less, i still need during this week to remove all the lower branches and leaves which adds some stress and require again some recovering before switching to flower 🤗😁

Week 5 💚 28th of February - 7th of March 2021

Overall this was a good second grow. The initial defoliation was key in getting the nice density I missed out on last time. These plants went through the bloom cycle using a reservoir (5 gallon bucket) and drip irrigation system exclusively. Once I got the correct timing done for the watering, this setup was really great; I was able to go about 1-2 weeks between water refills, so it was easy leave for a couple of short stints with no negative effects on the plants. The one major thing I'd like to work on for next time is the drying process. I'm not sure if I cut the branches too small, if the room was just too dry, or if I just let them go too long (I had to leave for 9 days, and they were drying the whole time). While the curing has helped them get a little moisture back, the actual drying left the buds pretty crispy.
