Hello growmies! Welcome to week four of An Epsilon Adventure! The girls are already transitioning into flower, I will get some photos of that later in the week. Daily Updates: ### Week 4 Day 1 11:00 16/7 Removed some lower growth. ### Week 4 Day 2 23:00 17/7 Tallest plants were showing signs of heat stress so I have raised the light about 30cm more. Unfortunately this now means the lower plants aren't getting as much light as they could, so I have put the cycle back to 20h (I may even increase it). ### Week 4 Day 3 14:00 18/7 Photographed. ### Week 4 Day 3 19:00 18/7 Fertigated 2l. Okay these girls are now starting to concern me a little on the basis that they are supposed to grow to "50-70cm". At just over 3 weeks old the shortest of these girls is 53cm, the tallest (plant 3) is now 76cm tall. The worrying thing is they do not at all look like they are slowing down and as they are just pre-flowering now, the flowering stretch hasn't even started. So I need some genuine advice here now: Do I keep the faith and hope that they don't exceed the space I have? Do I top or super crop them now? These ladies are beastly, at the end of the week I am going to take some individual videos and more photos to really try and capture how magnificently well these girls are doing. I think I may be in the process of growing the biggest Epsilon F1's so far? Exciting to find out! ### Week 4 Day 4 21:00 19/7 James has assured me they wont go much more than 85 so I am not going to mess with them. They are due a defoliation at the end of this week though. Measured each plant as follows: Plant 1: 81cm Plant 2: 75cm Plant 3: 80cm Plant 4: 67cm Plant 5: 59cm Plant 6: 58cm Might photograph later or leave until tomorrow. ### Week 4 Day 5 10:00 20/7 Photographed and measured. Plant 1: 85cm Plant 2: 79cm Plant 3: 81cm Plant 4: 71cm Plant 5: 63cm Plant 6: 63cm So they've all grown about 4cm in about 13 hours, except plant 3 - which seems to have slowed down a lot. The top of plant 3 is also the most advanced looking in terms of pistils. I forgot to take close ups of the preflowers I will do that tomorrow. I have had to raise the light again today and it is now much further away than the younger plants than I would like. So I am thinking about adding a 300w LED into my 4x4. I have another 3 inches I can raise the light on the hangers, after that I can removed the adjustable handers and tie it to the top of the tent... that'll gain me another 4 or 5 inches. If I need to go higher my only option would be to set them up without the tent which is not an option right now. Hopefully they all just stop getting taller now and focus on flowering... but my gut tells me there's more growth to come. Watch this space! ### Week 4 Day 6 15:00 21/7 Measured. This strain averages 50-70cm in height. We have six plants here and every one of them is taller than the average... but would you just look at plant 1? She is a giant! 102cm!! Where will she stop? Next week will see the full transition to flower and we will start to see the bud sites developing. I have no idea at this point what the heights will look like at the end of next week. Wochenbericht – Pflanzprojekt (11. Woche – 3. Blütewoche) In der elften Woche entwickeln sich die Buds der Sorten Big Bud, Moby Dick und Amnesia XXL sichtbar weiter. Die Blüten nehmen an Größe und Dichte zu, was auf eine gesunde Entwicklung hinweist. Leider haben die kalten Tage die Temperaturregulierung in der Box erschwert. Die Temperaturen waren über einen längeren Zeitraum eine Herausforderung, und es war notwendig, zusätzliche Maßnahmen zu ergreifen, um das Klima für die Pflanzen stabil zu halten. Trotz dieser Schwierigkeiten sehen die Pflanzen weiterhin vital aus, und die Blütenentwicklung verläuft gut. In den kommenden Tagen wird darauf geachtet, die Temperatur weiterhin zu kontrollieren und den Pflanzen optimale Bedingungen für die nächste Phase der Blüte zu bieten.

Buds are starting to swell and smell very nice. Not drinking as much water now after the stretch but still drinking a lot. Everything is looking great.

Sorry for late update friends been in Jamaica for 10 days 😀 So plants look amaizin gonna flip them tomorrow i think its time any opinions guys.

Week2 Day 1- 08/19/2023 Weekly Maintenance- Non-Water change week Added .5mil/gal of TPS SILICA Gold = 39 gallons X .5 = 19.5mil = 20mil add She really does look great today. More roots are finding their way out of the basket and into the water, looks like where I topped her the side stems are growing out nicely. Humidity is still running just a little low, I am making sure I keep a close eye on the humidifiers and added more water as needed. Week2 Day 2- 08/20/2023 She is doing Amazing!! Her roots are in the water and she is starting to form a little ball, the leaves are doubling in size and spreading out. Overall happy with how this grow is going thus far. Lots of Prayers for it staying this way the entire grow. Week2 Day 3 - 08/21/2023 I am very happy with her growth she is absolutely exploding, the main leaves are almost as big as my palms now, and the root ball is starting to form very nicely. She overall looks really happy to me. Week2 Day 4 - 08/22/2023 WoW!! Checked on her today and she looks like she doubled in size she is doing amazing in the environment. I had did do some Topping today and that was about it. Week2 Day 5 - 08/23/2023 She is looking amazing to me. Really proud of her and her growth. Week2 Day 6 - 08/24/2023 Not much to report today, her growth is going great. I topped her in three spots. Looks nice and comfortable, Saturday Water Change Day. Tomorrow I will get all of her end of week measurements for height and all. Week2 Day 7 - 08/25/2023 Week 2 is officially in the bag, she is already at 8 inches. 4-6 weeks left depending on continued growth until we switch her to flower.. we will see how it goes but she is looking amazing and the root structure is looking great! Humidity is still a little low I added water to the Humidifiers and adjusted the input air flow down slightly. I also turned on the 4th fan to increase circulation in the tent.

5/8 Watered both with plain PH'd water yesterday. Both of the plants are sucking up leaves. Trichomes are only really looking amber on the brown leaves, but otherwise milky. 5/10 Decided that these brown-leaved buds on Trainwreck were ready, so I tried a little bro-science and watered an hour before harvesting. Noticed there were some really nice green young buds intertwined, so I did my best to trim around to leave them for another week or so. No weight measurements yet, will wait till after trimming and before curing.

The buds are getting thicker and she's starting to smell, we're almost in the final stretch and I'm excited to see what else she'll produce this week.

These girls didn’t give me any issues at all. They just screw themselves. I planted one seed and when I did the mainline, I cloned the top, which is how I ended up with two plants. I can’t believe how big the buds got all this girl trimming it was a nightmare. There was so many leaves, some of the buds are so big that I did a small amount rot in one of them It’s so happened to be the biggest bud. I was running the humidity kinda high about 60% the whole time. About this plant doesn’t have much of a nose on it but she looks great and Got over these two.

Aug 24: cool and rainy lately but will warm up again in a couple days. Gorilla Cookies looks really good and is flowering nicely. Very nice strain. Added some soluble seaweed to the water mostly for the K. Don’t take flash pics of photoperiods unless you’re immediately using a 730 nm light to put them into dark mode. Using the far red light like this is known as phyto-forcing and it’s like getting an extra two hours of darkness making a 26 h day. This far north I think it moves flowering up by 3-4 weeks so obviously a huge trick. Easy and cheap if you have daily access at dusk. Aug 26: it’s been a couple of weeks but I figured it was time for a lazy compost tea. I watered with it slightly diluted and the plants look almost immediately greener and more vigorous…amazing actually. 👍👍 Aug 27: this is definitely the fastest flowering of the four. Hopefully it stays sunny for a few more weeks. Thinned out the understory a bit as there were some small branches and bud sites that were not going to do anything. Check out the birds sounds on the first video. The magpies thought I was too close to their nest in the tree or something…they’re usually not quite that annoying. Aug 29: this is a great strain, and the manifold is working its magic.
