Hey! Welcome to week 8! Karen is mid way through her flowering stretch. Please check back to last week as I update daily so the week is now complete. I count about 20 colas now. Day 51: Have reconfigured the tent, see video. Karen is now 36cm and still stretching. Karen has more light now. Smell is still there hits you when you open the tent. Fertigated 2l. Day 52: Height: 39cm. Karen's scent is heavenly. I have reconfigured again and installed some upgrades. Better reflector. Much bigger carbon filter. Increased airflow. Better config. More efficient pot layout. Karen is lovely. I am grateful to her and for her, so I wrote her a little poem, I hope she liked it. "Karen! Oh Karen! The phoenix of flowers, Three lowly weeks she struggled in vain, Shadowed and starved for five hundred hours, He slowly wept to witness her pain. Karen! Oh Karen! I P-H'd your showers, and in the fourth week you started to gain, Hallowed and hard you survived as you cowered, I thought you meek, I was wrong once again. Karen! Oh Karen! Forgave me my howlers. She set a pace, a pace she maintained, Now shes a girl at the peak of her powers, And so I'm a geek, with buds on the brain." Day 53: Approx 48h into a simulated dry spell. Alright I think it is time for Karen to get her first MAJOR defoliation. I will update shortly with photos and info. I will also be doing some gentle LST to separate the colas a bit. Day 53.5: Defoliation and LST. Finally got chance to photograph that bunda. Enjoy! Day 53.75: Bit of a fail. Messed up the timer and the lights ended up being off for about 3 or 4 hours. Because I was cooling the room (open window) to keep temperature in the tent down, without any light the temperatures absolutely plummeted as it is sub-zero outside. By the time I realised and turned the lights on, the temp in the main tent had dropped to 14 degrees celsius. Whoops! How is that for mistreating your girl? Defoliated about 80% of her leaves, 4 nodes, significant LST, then stuck her in the cold and dark for 1/6 of a day. Not to mention she is now almost 3 days into a "dry spell". There do not seem to be ill effects, and Karen has already begun to respond to the LST; all the colas that had been changed in angle are now upright again. The dry spell I keep mentioning, there is a method behind my madness, I have spotted one or two small flies and I think they may be fungus gnats. I am starting to suspect that the 2nd seedling in the Purple OG Punch Auto grow was actually beheaded by fungus gnat larvae. So I am drying out the mediums as much as I dare. I am closely monitoring the plants, so far the only one I have had to break the drought for is Enigma; all the girls in big pots haven't even noticed it's dry yet. How far am I going to push it? Well I will judge it on a plant by plant basis, but quite honestly I am hoping to see physical signs of thirst before I breakdrought. Of all the plants the two I think will respond most strongly to this will be Karen and Bertha, because of where they are. Karen here is actually probably 4 weeks into flowering rather than two, so about now is a good time to give her a little hydration stress. I do not think I will push it past 5 days, as RH is 34%. By now all the plants will be compensating for the lack of moisture and the high temperatures and low humidity. They will be taking more and more moisture out of the coco, and as the coco dries further and further down, those plants that have space will start desperately growing roots to find moisture. Mark my words, 24 hours after I end this drought, every plant in the tent will throw out crazy growth. Day 54: Ended drought and fertigated 6l, no run off, I will re-fertigate tomorrow. Karen is still stretching her height post LST is now 37cm. The two tallest colas seem to have stopped but the other colas are still stretching. Day 55: Alright so it has been 5 hours since lights on, and Karen is looking in good shape, all her drooping leaves have perked back up and she has added quite a bit of foliar growth. The colas are all still rising, except perhaps the two tallest. This girl is absolutely loaded with pistils, I'm starting to see trichomes on the sugar leaves, but trich production hasn't started in earnest yet. She has a least 20 colas, and 6 of them are thicker/taller than the primary cola at her tip. Every one of her nodes has reinforced itself with a bulbous growth and these cola branches are swelling rapidly. I am increasingly of the opinion that, all being well, this girl is going to surprise us all with her yield. My first grow, which was just mucking about really, I got 60-70g of the two main plants, and they were just bare sticks with 2 colas. Although her height is less than theirs was, 2/3 of their height was bare stick... whereas every mm of her is befoliaged and living. So in terms of the height of the actual cola I think they were about comparable in usable space on a per cola basis. The main difference being that Karen has 20+ colas whereas they had 2 primary and 2 lower. I know that it is probably unrealistic to expect more than 70g from a single auto grown indoors. Nevertheless my gut tells me this baby could achieve at least 100g, perhaps as much as 150g. The next few weeks will determine that, but given where we were in week 3 I will be grateful for any yield of quality bud. I have dropped the lights down to 18/6 from 'tonight' onwards. I really have no idea how long we have left for Karen. According the the "brochure" she flowers for 7-8 weeks, with a total crop time of 9 weeks. The problem is I don't know what a total crop time is? Does that mean from seed to finish? If so Karen is clearly not going to be anywhere near that timescale.I am going to go ahead an assume that, for my plant anyway, the first 4 weeks were veg weeks. I think it is fair to count week 5 and 6 as flowering because pistils were popping out very early in week 5 if not before. So that makes this week four of flowering. I am going to assume 8 weeks rather than 7, so I think we have another 4 full weeks give or take a week. On that basis I am expect harvest week to be around week 12 or so. I am not fixed on this though, I am determined not to harvest this girl early. Day 55: Photos taken 00:00 9/3/23 Strong 24h of veg growth as predicted. Day 56: Existing leaves continue to swell. Stretch appears to be slowing. I've taken so many media this week that I cannot scroll down far enough to select a recent thumbnail. Probably Karen's biggest week in terms of changes. She is looking like she is going to impress. Height 39cm.

Que hay familia, yo con muchos dolores de cabeza esta variedad es difícil de cojones, piden mucho alimento, han ensanchado bastante así que me toco hacer poda de bajos que no me gusta nada. También estoy al ojo por que me huele a hermafrodita una de ellas, no me hagan caso el cultivo anterior salió top y ando todo el día fumado... pero no es el caso. Nuestras green ak son bastante sensibles a los cambios de temperatura y bueno, no se la recomendaría a medir principiante si no más a gente con varios años de experiencia para poder sacar lo mejor de ellas. Ph controlado 6,5 no fallamos en eso ni en el alimento ya veremos próximamente como avanza saludos familia.

Day 69 (March 6th) Just gave everyone their last watering. I’m going to harvest and wash everything tomorrow night on day 70. I‘m not going to do that whole 48 hours of darkness thing because I didn’t see a difference last time I did it. In fact, it made my plant under watered before drying which caused it to dry too fast. Slurricane and cheese will be washed with h2o2 and the rest will just be rinsed off in warm RO water and hung up. Before and after washing I’m going to go over each branch with a flashlight and make sure there is no dog hair or debris in or on the buds. I will be drying in my spare bathroom (that no one uses!) from hangers. Aiming to keep it around 60-62F and 50-60 RH. Hoping for that 10-12 day dry. I wanted to do a full plant hang but the tent got pretty dirty and I would feel more comfortable just cutting and rinsing everything off branch by branch. I’m going to try my best to keep the full plant intact. Got my humidifier hooked up and running RO water because with tap water it deposits calcium and lime all over the buds and walls. For air flow I’m just indirectly running a small usb fan. I’m not worried about air flow in the bathroom honestly. It stays nice and breezy down there anyway. Got the food grade peroxide and RO water to wash up the slurricane and cheese. Everything except for the cheese and garlic#1 is looking more than done. Trichomes all look pretty well done. Some of them have even burst open. Smells are all super ripe and mature too. Can’t wait to smell each individually in jars. Next week I will recap what went wrong and what I will do differently next time to keep it from happening again. (Day 70F) Just got everything chopped, washed and hanging. The vast majority of the PM was washed out but I can still see very small amounts. When they dry out I can shake the branches a bit to get the rest off. At very least it’s sterile now. There is no question I lost some potency while washing but the amount is negligible for a much cleaner product. I could see lots of dirt and other debris float to the surface of the water after being washed. And no those are not trichomes, those sink to the bottom. I could put that nasty water through a bubble bag and wouldn’t get all that much. Although it probably does remove a lot of the actual trichomes heads. I’ll have to check with the microscope. Everything is rigged up for a nice slow dry. Temp is sitting at 64 and RH is at a nice 60%.

08.05 Day 49 Fortnightly tent clean out, wipe and dry. Moved all the plants around again. 10.05 Sunday Day 51 Cheese cookies is showing signs of severe over feeding. Going to give her just water for a while. The other 3 look great and are coating with resin already. Going to reduce the a+b feed down to 1ml for a while. Big devil and six shooter have a citrusy smell. Sweet cheese smells like pineapple and is the strongest smell out of all. Tuesday 12.05 Day 53 Got my self a tds meter, finally. I'll now be able to make smaller, minute adjustments if necessary. So cheese cookies at the moment is only getting pk boost + head master =650ppm. The other 3 are being fed at 1100ppm, they seem to be loving it. Spread sweet cheese out a little bit more again. So many lovely bud sites on her!👍🌱 Smell is slowly starting to increase but still very mild smells of citrus, pine and tropical fruits. 15.05 Day 55 Buds on the 2 sweet seed plants are getting covered in trichs. The six shooter and cheese cookies are probably going to take alot longer.

Woche 11

War eh nur ein Experiment, wie sich die Pflanzen bei 4 h direktem Sonnenlicht verhalten auf dem Balkon. Ertrag ist dem entsprechend gering & die Dichte der Blüte fehlt, sehr sehr Fluffig aber der Geruch/Geschmack erinnert an 2014er Vibes. Also Smoke Qualität ist super und die Wirkung sehr klar & clean. Werde die Sorte sicherlich nochmal im Zelt ausgrown.

April 27: start of week 3 (day 15) i pick off fanleaves here and there not all at once, one last heavy defoliation at the end of the week The cannopy is 40cm deep and 80cm diagonal

So far so good. She is growing very nicely. Grew about 8 inches this week. She has already been topped and I usually start some LST about a week after topping the plant. She recovered from the topping nice and quick and started growing again right away.

Fade colors are really starting to push through Fed with nutrients: 5/7/25 Fed with ph water at 6.5 : 5/11/25 Fed with nutrients 5/12/25

Day 28 Flowering: The bud building continues. FFT#8 Is so sad to look at now in comparison. she is budding but so small it will be a shock to get a joint from her .lol FFT#9 Is looking like a real contender for yield champion this run. Her long forming colas are so good to look at close up and so neatly packed in too. She has many long donkey's to fill out now and with 5 weeks left to run, I think she will do well. She is smelling nice and fruity with a hint of fuel too now and beginning to push trichrome production too. Still cannot place her strain yet but one i will certainly be doing again when I find out. FFT#10 Has some very thick colas forming up and plenty of sugar leaves to cover in her abundant trichs. She is a great producer of frost already and I am convinced she has some cookie or wedding cake in her parentage ?. Her darker colour and wider leaves show her Indica leaning before her wider noded structure does. she smells a dangerous earthy spicey aroma now and i think she will give the Fft#9 a run for yield too. She did respond to the gentler lst I did with keeping her 5th but it has meant she kept saying more vertical than wide and flat. not an issue i am pleased to find out and I coukd possibly use more height in the next run I do with the autos lined up to do. I had hoped Fastbuds would have responded with a request to run their genetics but time ran out waiting and I needed to plan so went with another breeders autos offered. 🌱 Amnesia Skunk — Week 5 (12/12 from seed) First real signs of flower & structural development Welcome to everyone joining the diary at this stage 👋 Here’s a quick recap, followed by a detailed Week 5 update. ⸻ 🔁 Quick recap — how we got here • 12/12 from seed from day one • Winter run, cold & humid external conditions • Focus on plant-led growth, minimal stress • No topping, no aggressive defoliation • Structure built through leaf tucking, gentle bending, and light LST Both plants have developed very similarly, with compact structure and strong lateral branching. No major phenotypic differences so far — which makes this run especially interesting to follow. ⸻ 🌸 Week 5 overview — transition into flower This week marks what feels like the first “real” flower week: • Clear bud sites forming • Vertical growth slowing slightly • Side branches pushing up evenly • Plants staying compact and well-balanced They’re stacking nicely and responding very well to the gentle training approach. ⸻ 🌿 Training & canopy management No heavy interventions here: • Continuous leaf tucking • Gentle branch bending • Very light LST, only where needed to open the canopy No defoliation beyond what’s absolutely necessary. The goal remains: let the plant decide, we just guide So far, this approach is paying off. ⸻ 🍽️ Nutrition & irrigation strategy (important update) ➕ CalMag introduced this week Not because the plants are deficient — but because: • We’re using rainwater + dehumidifier water • These sources are very low in minerals • Calcium & Magnesium need to be present before demand spikes This also explains the EC adjustments this week. ⸻ 🚿 Hand-watered plants • EC: 1.43 • pH: 5.9–6.0 • Water temp: 22.8°C Carefully adjusted to support flower transition without pushing too hard. ⸻ 💧 AutoPot-fed plants (6 plants) • EC: 2.29 • pH: 6.01 • Water temp: 22.8°C AutoPots are running mineral-only inputs, as organic inputs don’t perform well in this system. Higher EC here is intentional and controlled. ⸻ 🔍 Plant handling All plants are regularly: • Taken out of the tent • Checked for weight, water demand, and overall condition • Then returned to their position This helps ensure each plant gets exactly what it needs. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment (winter realities) • Outside: ~5°C, RH 92–96% • Grow room: • Temp: ~21.8°C • RH: ~58% Not ideal on paper — but the plants are not complaining, so we adapt and keep observing. ⸻ 💡 Lighting • PPFD: ~700–850 (depending on plant size and position) • Plants are praying consistently, showing good light response We let the plants “decide” how much they want to push. No forcing — just monitoring. 🔦 Under-canopy lighting — phased introduction By the end of this week, we’ll be plugging in the under-canopy lights. The canopy has already grown past the main light plane, and the goal here is not to blast the lowers — but to signal the plant that light is present from all directions. Why we’re doing this: • Encourage lower and inner bud sites to stay active • Reduce the “shade shutdown” response • Support more uniform flower development • Improve airflow and plant posture as branches respond to multidirectional light Important note: This will start very gently — low intensity, just enough to be perceived. PPFD and intensity under the canopy will be increased gradually, only if the plants respond positively. The idea isn’t forcing production — it’s communication. We let the plant decide how much it wants to use. ⸻ Fungus gnats — honesty section Yes, we’re seeing a small fungus gnat presence: • Yellow sticky traps installed • More intentional dry-downs • Actively monitoring, not panicking Personal thought (not science, just observation): A mild, controlled pressure may trigger subtle defense responses. Whether that translates into anything meaningful later… we’ll see. La planta tuvo una deficiencia de Cal/Mag, la que se corrigió a tiempo pero de igual manera afectó en su crecimiento y rendimiento, más allá de eso estoy feliz por las flores de calidad que tendré para degustar más adelante.

***** Week 10 growth - February 6 to 12, 2021 - Week 1 Flower ***** Here we go.......on to flower now. Last week was transition week and bud sites are setting on the girls now. Lights flipped a week ago to 12/12.......typical flower. Stretch is starting this week now. Last week was marginal height growth. Nutrients switched over to flower schedule and following week 1 again this week. Next week will move up the ppm more and start on bud enhancers. More microbes and sweetener this week. Silica ppm also increasing now as not looking to bend branches much more now. Decided to throw Scottie Real some support and Recharge arrived this week so switching microbes for the rest of the run👍💪 Have a hole in the canopy that I am just going to need to live with. GSCHB and MM2 did not growth as expected. They are not reaching up as tall as the others and stretch is slow. Not looking like they will catch up in next couple of days☹️☹️☹️ Also thinking of increasing some fulvic acid for this girl and see if it helps her stretch....Gold Storm. Little more detail....... Feb 6/21 - Day 1 - been drying for 2 days now so water day with some supplements - 3L with CalMag @ 2ml, AN B52 @ 1.5ml (using up an old bottle to finish), Enzymes @ 1ml - 575ppm and 5.9pH - Need to start increasing silica. Using up some B52 which has some silica in it.......and other vitamins so its all good😀 Feb 7/21 - Day 2 - Leaves up today and praying nicely. - dry out day - stretch is going now and the girls are growing hard.....this girl is still working on setting buds Feb 8/21 - Day 3 - Feed day again, going to stay with week 1 flower nutrients, same as last week. - IPP Grow @ 1ml, Micro @ 2ml, Bloom @ 2ml, Black Storm @ 3ml, Sea Storm @ 5ml, B+ @ 0.5ml, Red Sun @ 0.5gr, Carbs @ 1ml, Natures Candy @ 1ml, Piranha @ 1ml, Microbes @ 2ml. - 4L.......yeah, took a little longer to mix up this feed😀 - 1350ppm and 5.9pH - no run off from the girls today......little light on the water, they should have had 5L each. - last feed with bud starter, Red Sun, next will be Bud Fusion for bud booster next week. Feb 9/21 - Day 4 - no run off yesterday so adding more water today......plain tap water.....no additives - 5L for each girl. 225ppm and 6.0pH - good run off today. Feb 10/21 - Day 5 - Nothing today......watered two days in a row - ready for more silica!! Branches need to firm up.......this girl has some very soft branches still!!! Feb 11/21 - Day 6 - Recharge arrived today!!!!!! Time for more microbes and sweetener😀💪 - purple stripes on main stems so adding more magnesium through Epsom salts - 4L mixture for the girls with Epsom Salts @ 0.5Tbsp, Silica @ 1.5ml, IPP Carbs @ 1ml, Recharge @ 1 tsp - 1,000ppm and 5.9pH - different microbes now and excited! Feb 12/21 - Day 7 - Nothing again today.......give them watering tomorrow morning. - Wondering if their leaves are a little dark........consider bring down ppm next week.......it was hard this week at 1300ppm........water is 250 on its own so around 1100ppm nutes added. - she is not stretching much but looking very happy......suspect she will have large colas......hopefully👊 Looking good ETS......the girls are doing very well overall. This girl is very happy and looking healthy, branching a little soft, stretch has been minimal so far but might take off more next week with silica being increased. She grows some HUGE fan leaves😀😀

Hello lads! How are you doing? So, week 8 and the ladies are amazing, the buds are getting fat is this stage, and I am very happy with it. Gonna start the harvesting in two weeks. Thanks for following me!

Had one week of flush and I think I’ll give her a few more days and then harvest. Been a really easy grow and a pleasure to watch. Can’t wait to try the beautiful buds.

My baby are 30cm now i count with a 150-200% stretch but i think i handle that baby ... I dominate my Amnesia grow to, so Hulk who are you .... show me ..... 😉 Day 23 13.20 After i send them into flower feed them with nutes all is good no sighns of stress to much nutes or some else, air temp and humidity are controled so thats fine to 😉 Se ya back tomorrow Day 25 07.10 So they do realy grow like i want them to grow thats cool Now on 12/12 since 3 days the strech is really smooth till now and it seems its true what i heard about Bruce not to much till no leafs on the bottem of the plant know i wait till the flowering will start think mid of next week Day 26 07.30 I see here and there starting of flowering little white hairs are comming feed them today with the full dosis of nutes but still under the limit of plagron less is more Bruce looks really healthy at all so far Day 27 07.30 I cleand up my room🙃 no no worrys some plants were a bit smaler some a bit higher so i switched the long ones in the back the smaler ones in the front now it looks a bit weird but that will be fixxed up in 2 days ..
