Week 9: Transitioning and Training The Durban Poison photoperiods are officially settling into their long-term homes and showing some impressive vigor. After the successful transplant into the 25-gallon fabric pots, the root systems are clearly enjoying the extra breathing room. This week is all about managing that explosive growth and setting a solid foundation for the structure of the plants. #Environmental Conditions Location: Outdoor Deck Climate: High plains (Variable temperatures and shifting winds) Sunlight: Full sun (approx. 14+ hours of daylight) Garden Updates & Maintenance The focus this week has shifted from recovery to Low Stress Training (LST). Given how tall this Sativa-dominant landrace can get, keeping the canopy managed is a priority.Train: Implementing a DIY bamboo trellis system. I’m gently pulling the main branches outward to encourage lateral growth and ensure better airflow through the center of the plant. Irrigation: The dual-timer manifold is up and running. The custom-drilled hoses are delivering a consistent soak, which is crucial as the Colorado sun starts to intensify. Nutrients:Sticking with the **FOOP Organic** regimen. The leaves are a deep, healthy green with no signs of transplant shock or nutrient burn. Pest Management: The **African Marigolds** are positioned as sentinels around the fabric bags. So far, the companion planting is doing its job—no signs of mites or aphids. Observations The nodal spacing is starting to stretch slightly, which is expected for Durban Poison. The stalks are thickening up nicely, becoming sturdy enough to handle the afternoon gusts. Plans for Week 10 * Continue adjusting the ties on the LST setup. * Monitor for any early signs of "the stretch."

Moving along, no issues. Bring them outside around 10 am and back in around 8pm to put back under the blurples. Starting the early veg doses of nutrients with each feeding. I’m keeping the soil pretty dry in between watering.

Harvest day has finally arrived for my Frostbanger Auto, and I’m very happy with how this run turned out. She finished at 69 days from seed and impressed me from start to finish. Throughout flowering she developed a strong, sweet aroma that became richer and more noticeable every week. By harvest time, opening the tent released an amazing smell that filled the entire room. The buds developed beautifully, with excellent frost coverage and plenty of sparkling trichomes covering the flowers and sugar leaves. Visually, she became one of the prettiest plants I’ve grown, showing great structure and dense, resin-coated buds. Final wet weight came in at 230g, which I’m very pleased with. The plant stayed healthy, responded well throughout the grow, and rewarded me with a solid harvest and outstanding bag appeal. Overall, Frostbanger Auto was a pleasure to grow. Great aroma, heavy trichome production, beautiful buds, and a satisfying yield. Now it's time for drying and curing, and I can't wait to see how the final quality develops over the next few weeks. She did well but the main problem was under feeding. She just wasn’t getting enough water from which she suffered tremendously as the growth through the vegetation was almost at a standstill. The plus side is that she is quite resilient.

Hello to you, here are the last 2 gorilla cookies put in the dark for 72 hours their sisters the 3rd that I put in the dark a week earlier give me 59 gr dry and very nice to smoke but I curing it again before the total tasting :-) Once this one is dry I will make you a report for its 2 if and do not forget that the 2 watermelon candy are not yet finished ... to follow.

Starting the week off very healthy. Only change is the adjustment of light height and the removal of Mass Pro. I’m seeing very rapid growth both vertically and horizontally. Plants are showing signs of pre-FLOWER, light intensity was moved up to 80% with a max 700 PPFD. So far so good. All plants are happy and healthy…

Another new grow and like the OG kush, trying something new with this grow, by flipping to 12/12 for a week (without bloom nutrients). Also with this grow and the OG kush, I'm switching to the coco series nutes, as they have higher P & K values than the non-coco line up.

The pineapple auto flower was germinated at the same time as the blueberry. It took some time to catch up, I'm not sure what I did wrong but it's just now starting to show signs of future success. I had a couple other auto strains that all failed to sprout due to my negligence. Update on those, my last seeds seem to have taken when I opten to put them in my outdoor hydro setup for germination. The conditions must be better with the uv from the sun preventing over dampening from being a molds paradise. I don't have the time to watch these all day so this was my best shot. I noticed some yellowing. Turns out my ph was off because I never calibrated my ph sensor. Fixed everything 10-Jul, hopefully she comes back to vitality soon or the yellow is just light green from the new leaves.. I diluted the nutrient solution down today but only to 1000 from being up to 1200. If nothing changes in a few days I will replace half the current reservoir supply with new ph adjusted water. I don't dechlorinate with a filter but I bubble the water for a day and hit it with uv just for good measure before adding new water. Update, after researching, it appears this is iron deficiency. Hopefully correcting the ph is enough to prevent the yellowing from continuing. Fingers crossed. Else I need a supplement. Update July 11, after calibrating my ph monitor and getting back in acceptable range yesterday [I have been shooting for 6.0 or just below] the leaves are becoming more dark green in color and the yellowish color is dissipating. You can see some of the lower leaves have some sort of burn. I am not sure if it is heat damage or caused by ph imbalance but I don't see this on the newer growth.

Girls are doing well with the LST. Kosher cake was topped last week and now has what looks like 8 heads. 3rd of June have given the girls living soil veg.

Gettting Thicc! Added some overdrive to the nutrients, trying to squeeze the last into the buds as she starts out her last week. Smell is getting a bit stronger, easily fills the apartment when i take her inside for watering and pictures.

Week 2 (08.29.2021 - 09.04.2021) Nothing much to report this week. The ladies are looking fantastic. The canopy is from wall-to-wall. The stretch seems to have slowed down quite a bit. However, I've raised my light up as high as it will go with the rope ratchets. If the canopy gets much closer to the light fixture I'm going to have to figure out a way to create some distance. Tying down some branches at this point would be a real pain in the ass, so I'm trying to avoid that.
