🇺🇸Grow Journal🇺🇸– Week 5 – Mother Gorilla (Royal Queen Seeds) Week 5 Summary This week didn’t go as planned. I switched nutrients, and the plant didn’t respond well, possibly due to overfeeding. I probably should have transitioned more gradually to avoid stressing it. Nutrient Issue • Previously used: Formulex • New nutrient: Ionic Hydro Grow • Possible cause: Ionic Hydro Grow has a higher concentration of nutrients than Formulex. The sudden increase may have stressed the plant. • Symptoms: The new leaves are showing signs of damage, which could indicate nutrient burn. Typically, deficiencies affect older leaves first, so it seems more like an excess—but I can’t say for sure. Corrective Actions • Diluted the nutrient solution to lower the EC. • Initial EC: 2.6+ (but my tap water already has a high EC, so the actual nutrient EC is hard to determine). • New EC: Below 2, but again, since my starting EC is high (around 0.8-0.9), it’s difficult to get an exact reading of the nutrient contribution. • pH adjusted to 5.9-6.0. Current Conditions • Light schedule: 18 hours • Humidity: 70% • pH: 5.9-6.0 • EC: Below 2 (but actual nutrient EC remains uncertain). Next Steps • Observe the plant and see if it recovers. • Adjust the next nutrient mix carefully to avoid overfeeding. • Continue light training (LST), but growth has slowed due to stress. Hopefully, the plant will bounce back. Day 12 of organic grow and all is well. Seemed to have dialed in the conditions and able to keep good air movement, CO2 levels, and consistent temperatures/humidity with the ThruWall Closet Fan (Model TW108 ), and the Holmes Twin Exhaust/Intake Fan (Model HAWF-2041). Humidity is maintained with a Lovoit 6L Ultrasonic Programmable Cool Mist Humidifier (Model# LV600HH). Added a SCROG screen (just a cargo net) and bought the Sample Pack of organic nutrients from Nectar for the Gods (just pay shipping and they will send you the sample nutrients - check out the website). People say their line of nutrients make the buds smell and taste like no other! I have always been an organic Earth Juice nutrient guy, so I am going to experiment with combining the two. Lights are on 24/0 and she has tight internodal spacing with good vertical growth. Room that closet is in is beginning to smell skunky at times, and like diesel at other times. Plant is 8 weeks from seed today, stretching has now stopped and she is starting to fill out now. It looks like the feed will sit at 2ml A +B to a litre as she hasn't shown signs of wanting anything more although pk 13/14 will be added in roughly 3 weeks time. She's been drinking a lot more last few days

Day 98 and its the end of the grow. 1st I'm going say thanks to @fastbuds for the seeds, very much appreciated. This week I flushed until my EC was close to my waters EC which took 4 days. On day 97 I gave all 4 the chop. So they been drying for 24hr so far, i haven't done any trimming yet just left them with plenty of leaves on, hopefully they should take a week to dry, I'll prob do some trimming during that period. The only plant that could have done with some more time in tent was the lemon pie, maybe she needed another 5 days or so to finish swelling up. As far as the grow went it wasn't bad, hit some problems, mainly temps outside being so damn cold near the beginning that I was struggling getting temps up. Also I cut out using hydroguard to early and the roots started to suffer. I'll put harvests of all 4 plants when they have been dried and cured for a least a week most likely 2. Hopefully by then I'll have got my jobs needed doing on the house and can start all over again, not sure what seeds I'm going to get yet, if anyone has any autoflower recommendations shout them out. She's growing well this week. Her flowers are fattening up nicely! I was a bit worried that they will be airy not dense, but I was being too impetuous 😬😅

A new week begins.👋 Somehow I missed the moment to put down the lady with LST during the last week. Now the trunk has become so firm that I no longer dare to do so.

Day 61 of flowering The ladies are ripening well and will probably be harvested next week. I'll let the soil dry out almost completely a few days before harvesting.

Good week of fattening up , temps are on the rise by 2 degrees in the tent as summer gears up I would of liked to have had these done by now as the next few weeks are hot and humid . Just gotta keep that air flow up and cop the wind burn on the fan leaves . Started feeding every day last week instead of every other day and they are hooking thru their feeds . Will feed another week then a 2 or 3 week taper to flush . The smell from this purple punch is so strong and the leaves actually taste like blueberries , home stretch now

Hi all 🤗 Everything grows very well and healthy 😇 The stragglers were repotted this week. I also have to give the grown-ups at least 3-4 weeks vegi, because there is still no space in the bloom chamber 😂 But it gets exciting too, 5 topping bushes and 6 normal ones, unfortunately I can't top the 6 normal ones because of space constraints 🙈. Cover crop breaking through lots of visible beneficial insects dirt smells good. Primed for the rest of veg/preflower. It with mycorrhizae molasses humic fulvic liquid this water will hit with the remainder of the alaska fish emulsion the next few watering plan on keeping kelp mycorrhizae and molasses. Mostly applying top dress going through flower as well as some potash and the remainder Pk blend I prepared. Ph a little higher than I wish might be a culprit of some over watering gonna allow a long dry retest and go from there those that have overcame the hormonal flowering shit are beginning to take off. Been amending the gravel and dirt surrounding my planting area and water around it too trying to encourage further outward root spread.

05/02/2026 Lite defoll of inner fan leaves and supercropped the outter branches 06/02/2026 Shes getting bigger! Light increased to 75% -513watts wall draw. Lite defoll of the inner fan leaves again. Trying to keep her centre thinned for the new budsites. Once we switch to flower I can let it bush a little as it stretches 06/02/2026 Thinning of the tops again and folding her main stems ouwards via supercropping! Should be ready to switch to flower next week! 10/02/2026 Supercropped cropped a litte two hard and snapped two stems but she's managed to recover just fine. The canopy is still nice and even. 11/02/2026 Thinned out #Back to the Future Was very bushy; thinned her right out to reveal the baby nodes!

(Update: 4/20/19) Please stand by while they dry. (Update Everything is going great though! The smell is very strong now; no more cut grass smell. From looking at all three today, I believe that some of the smaller branches will be done drying and ready for trimming and weighing in a day or two. I have one guess for dry weight of Big Lemon, any other guesses?? Remember, the picture of Big Lemon hang drying looks like its two plants, but its all Big Lemon; I had to cut it off to be able to hang it. The amputated branch left of the main plant is bigger than my other two plants alone! (Update 5/2/19) Woah...Okay. So after drying the whole for about nine days, and trimming for four days, Big Lemon's dry weight SO FAR is about 430ish grams of super dense and sticky nugs. Its amazing that I got more big bud than I got popcorn nugs from such a big plant. I have one more 1/2 gal Mason Jar of untrimmed tops to finish, then I'll post pics or a vid of the weigh up and glamour shots etc.. Oh, almost forgot, Little Lemon produced about 40 grams of very nice bud. This surpassed expectations because, although it was planted on the same day as Big Lemon, it was the runt of the bunch because it got pushed out of the main tent that had all the lights and Co2 environment and everything. It spent much of late veg under a very weak light. I remember how limp it was when I gambled on it and chose to switch her over to 12/12. But it was totally worth it in the end! Alight back to work for me. Check back later today for pics, vids! (Final Update: 5219 @11:09pm PT) Its done. Its finally done! I had to trim both plants with my own two hands! So Exhausting, yet so rewarding. So above are several videos of the weighing. Grand total for Big Lemon is 14oz of prime top shelf nugs, and about 3oz of nice popcorn/LARF (they are separated as shown above in a video. Forgive me for not throwing it all together to weigh it, I spent a long, long, very long time trimming and sorting and canning the buds according to their respective grade/quality. I may add one more update to show their respective weights. Oh and little lemon produced about an 1 1/2 oz of prime nuggets and quite a bit of popcorn/LARF, which I haven't gotten around to weighing yet. So, Grand Grand total of Both Lemon OG Candy (amazing job with this beast of a strain, Philosopher seeds) is about 18.5oz, or 1lb 2.5oz for two plants; 15.6oz of which is entirely made up of top-shelf buds 😎 Damn I love SoCal, I didnt even need to run carbon filters because no one be trippin about a lil stink weed. Thanks to those for following this grow! Tell me what yall think! Cant wait to see some comments from all you growers out there. (Update: smoke review after a week or two of cure) This Lemon OG Candy had an extended veg period, about 4 months maybe a little longer, and I harvested her on day 56 of flower (recommended harvest 60-70 days) because of the size/distance to light and her root-bound problems. The results so far, a very uplifting and stimulating quality.
