Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. 6/6/2023 Week 9- Day 1 of Flower (Day 124 overall) (Day 63 of Flower) Auto Pilot Day 3.. Just watched them be beautiful. I also did a Trichome check today things are moving along nicely. 6/7/2023 Week 9- Day 2 of Flower (Day 125 overall) I admit it I couldn't help it there were some blatant offender leaves blocking the light from some of the canopy buds so they had to go..... and when I took them I found a few more in between leaves that had to go.. so long story short some defoliation did happen.. :-) 6/8/2023 Week 9- Day 3 of Flower (Day 126 overall) Auto pilot re-engaged.. I sat back took some photos and just enjoyed how beautiful this light side and dark side thing the plants are doing The buds are almost as long as my Sharpie. I also applied the last application of my Hermie spray to the clone I took in Apr to reverse it. 6/9/2023 Week 9- Day 4 of Flower (Day 127 overall) Auto Pilot Day 2... :-) It was check in day today for the grow off. Last check in for the competition. Trichomes are looking great.. did another check today will keep an eye on it just incase I need to cut earlier than planned. I just enjoyed the nice smell coming from the tent today, and the contrast between light and dark side buds that they did. 6/12/2023 Week 9- Day 7 of Flower (Day 130 overall) Auto Pilot Day 5. These ladies are looking amazing, the fade is coming in nice purple on plant #3 and really nice yellow on #2.

at this week u can compare the stems and bush in the videos, keep in mind this is my first hydro grow and i messed the PPM and PH a few times.. also snapped a whole branch of the hydro plant around week 4. still the hydro plant looks bigger and fatter stem. lol

Dopo sette giorni da quando ho piantato i semi tutte le piantine sono nei vasi. Fino a stamattina ho avuto qualche piccolo problema di muffa nel substrato. Grazie a voi sto provando a rimediare. Per ora ho eliminato 3 cm di substrato , cosparso di cannella sopra il substrato ed ho attivato i due estrattori, accendedoli mezz'ora ogni due ore spenti, per non far scendere troppo l umidità. Domani dovrebbe arrivarmi un umidificatore con igroststo e quindi accenderó gli estrattori molto più spesso. 8 giorno dalla semina. Mi sono organizzato umidificatore piazzato in grow per tenere un umidità costante al 65 per cento, temperatura con luce costante a 22 gradi e sistema di estrazione 15 minuti in, 15 off più ventilatore attivo nei momenti in cui gli estrattori sono off. Il problema muffa non sembra più esserci. 5 piantine su 6 sembrano godere di ottima salute. Oggi è il 4 giorno dal travaso, voglio sperimentare nel tenere la lampada sia con le luci veg che con le luci blum, controllerò ogni paio di ore il comportamento delle piante. Se le vedrò abbassare la testa ritornerò subito alla sola luce veg. 6 giorno le piantine sembrano godere di ottima salute. Oggi ho dato per la prima volta 1ml di stimolante per radici diluendolo in un litro di acqua e quindi circa 200 ml di liquido a testa

It’s not all glam fam, Im being challenged by the heat so I added another fan + adjusted hps light to max! These biches have sprouted like no other I’ve experienced in the past, and the smell is incredible already, strawberry being the most pungent 💯 Jah bless 🙏💨

8/5 (Day 49)- The start of a new week! Last few days have been a little rough and I have unfortunately been unable to keep up the post. Dealing with a back injury so it’s been difficult just to keep up with the feedings. We are looking pretty good though and starting to feel a bit better. The last few days I’ve been slowly but surely trying to get a good defoliation in which I feel was needed very badly. Opened up a lot of place for light and airflow. Messing with the back left plant and OMG my hands got sticky quick! I leaned in for a close smell and all I can think of when I smell is candy, a very sweet smelling candy. It shocked me how sweet and yummy the smell was. All conditions for the environment are stable and kept in check. The girls are taking down 4-5 gallons a day now. Will continue to update this week. Thanks! 8/6 (Day 50)- Just monitored and checked in on everything today. Starting to feel better so not too worried about the change out in the morning. Gonna up the light and ppms a bit tomorrow then monitor very close the next few days. I think they should be good. Everything staying in check. 8/7 (Day 51)- Changed res and new fresh food for the ladies. I increased light power a little as well as PPMs. Going to monitor next few days, then when my back is 100% gonna do one last round of defoliation and trimming as well as put up the trellis net. I know it’s a bit late but the two plants on the right may need it. 8/8 (Day 52) - Just have been monitoring and refilling the res today. They are drinking 4-5 gallons a day. I also did a light light defoliation. I will be going through in the next day or so to do a bit more in depth defoliation to open up for more light and air. These girls grow and recover so fast. 8/9 (Day 53)- The two plants on the right are continuing to stretch quite a bit! The left plants seem to be short bushier plants, also im very sure I could have easily dont something to stunt them and not realize, but they seem to be pretty darn healthy. Did some defoliation, I've honestly been plucking leaves here and there everyday and focusing specifically on a plant when I feel it gets too bushy. They bounce back very quickly so that has been my method along with tying some branches down and bending here and there. 8/10 (Day 54) - Wow that back right girl is really growing. She has really been stretching the last two days. Just monitoring and adding to the res every so often. They are continuing to drink 4-5 gallons a day and all conditions stay in check. I did move one fan to get more airflow through the bottom of the canopy. I feel like I have constantly been moving things around this grow, trying to get a feel of what's best for the plants. As always, tips and recommendations appreciated!

Week 10. The smell is insanely strong — like hot tar and roadwork, super loud, super skunky.

It's been a while but the ladies are doing great. Some pretty nice budformation. 1 of the ladies has some special looking buds, I wonder how they'll finish.

8/28 beautiful plant with nice nodal stacking. not too much stretching. she stretched outwards more than up. love the structure of this plant. this week fed her with 3 tsp 711 grow and 2 tsp 374 bloom. top dressed and still topping with diatomaceous earth as needed.

Hi, topman! This week report is add-the next week, and this happened, because between 10 and 11 weeks, i didn’t can reloading media-content! System KiT 1: Delivering Efficiency To Growers Everywhere. Compatible with all 8" rockwool cubes; also used with smartpots and fabric pots. 26 flower-designed louvers. Stakes on the bottom add extra stability. Holes in all four corners allow for leftover water drainage. Made from BPA and lead-free plastic. Dishwasher safe, stackable and reusable.(c) KiT2 System: With the FloraFlex Matrix System water and nutrients travel into the Circulator, hit the slope of the Matrix and are pushed outward into eight maze sections that have individual holes dripping the water and nutrients onto the Wicking Pad. The Circulator has two barbed nozzles to attach 1/4" OD FloraTubing that allows you to automate the Matrix System. Place the Matrix Pad on the surface of your plant, the Matrix Unit on top of it, press down, fit the Circulator into the center holes, and connect your 1/4" OD tubing to the Circulator. I had the most brilliant moment ever. I ve been setting up the drip system for the first time with the runoff going into the ebb and flood system reservoir. I did not take into the account the syphononing effect of the pumps and that the reservoir water level has to be below the plants. I had two hours to leave for my flight, because I was going on a vacation. So I jumped online and found a way to make pressure regulator from piece of tube and t connector. It did well for the whole 10 days I was away. I'm really proud of my self :))))

Last final defoliation done, now buds are fully exposed to the lights and the best part, harvest trim will be easier. Still it took me around 8 h altogether to defoliate all of them. Tones of buds and frost , amazing smells. Won't rush will give it a bit more to swell. Another perfect auto genetics. 💚
