Moby Dick XXL Overview- Growth ~ *Grown under a spider farmer sf2000 only in a 4x4 tent* Initial Veg period was 5 weeks. I did not top her and I performed very minimal LST/ defoliation. I started her right of the bat with the microbials (Mammoth P/ Recharge) and then later added my NFTG feed int week 4. She really started to explode in growth in week 4/5. I honestly did not notice one yellow leaf up until the very end when I started to flush her. This strain is very very tolerant I would say and grows HUGE. I started seeing signs of flowering in week 6 and it was history from there! She exploded with even more growth nearly doubling its size in flower (3.5 ft to be exact) and she grew many massive colas slammed with milky trichomes and dank smells! Buds grow long and slender as opposed to small/dense like golf balls. Nutrients ~ She was potted into a 6-gal fabric airpot w/ M3 soil. Like I do with most my plants I started her slowly with just microbial feeds (w/Mammoth P and Recharge) and I did not start using my main nutrient line (Nectar for The Gods) until week 4. I really like using a foliar spray to feed also. I kept a simple feed schedule with this one and it worked out really well. I try to follow this schedule (Shown below) as close to possible with some obvious interruptions to it here and there. Microbe tea /VEG ONLY*foliar spray No Water Feed /VEG ONLY*foliar spray Microbe tea No Water /VEG ONLY*foliar spray No Water or Flush (every two weeks) Aroma/Taste ~ One of my favorite parts about this plant was its aroma. Very pine like but sharp and unique . Its described an exotic wood smell and I definitely get that. Its so refreshing and earthy it’s a VERY nice change of pace from the fruitier strains. You do get a slight citrusy smell but the pine/ wood smell is really the overpowering smell. It is by far the smelliest auto I have ever grown so I really really respect how well of a job Dinafem did on these genetics. They obviously didn’t just focus on the size of the plant! She has a nice smooth flavor that is earthy and sharp . The wood flavors linger a bit which is very nice! Effects~ Almost instantly felt it in my head. Blessed with a euphoric feeling of calmness and almost a numbness to reality. I felt it for sure and it was very potent. 1 joint had me feeling it very hard and th high lasted what felt like an hour or so which is not the case for me usually! Its attributed to the sativa dominance this plant has. Im so used to growing hybrids or indica dom plants I almost forgot what sativa highs felt like! Thanks Moby Dick XXl for slapping me in the face and reminding me!! Overall thoughts~ This plant is really easy to grow, and she stays true to her name and grows massive. This strain should be tried by any auto lover 100% I think Dinafem nailed this strain all across the board. Was pleasantly surprised with how tolerant to nutrients/ light she is. I had the light closer than suggested most her flowering and she didn’t stress at all. I cant really come up with a negative thing to say about this plant, maybe the buds are airy but that’s because she is very sativa dominant it was a bastard to trim her for sure. Drying/ Curing method~ -Dried for 11 days in a low humidity environment/ completely dark area with good airflow. Hung her as an entire plant with all the leaves still on her. -Dry trimmed her (very hard strain to trim) -Put right into mason jars and sealed shut for 3 days then began burping her (I am not using boveda ***) -Burped twice a day for 2 weeks straight and maintained 60-62 humidity. -Slowed down burping to once a night the third week .

Day 8: After reading about pests, I have researched companion plants so I have placed a pot of peppermint next to the plants. Marigolds will be next. Day 9: Peppermint has repelled black flies. More updates to come later this week.

Not sure what the GD glitch was last week but after I updated in showed I was a week behind. I digress. This week they are still blowing up. I have never personally had an auto stretch like this and I love it! #1 is a total candy stripe stalk and the flowers are bulking early. #2 is a little lankier and continued to stretch another 7” taller to 34” but has thousand of white pistils and looks to be about to stack on some weight now. Over all the colas look to be between 7-12”. #3 is a bushy little sucker and if you remember or this is your forest read the other blackberry x2 never germinated so I threw another stardawg In and it’s about 12 days behind so it should do its thing soon. I have a couple other dark devils I decided to start later than that in the back too. The tent is consuming about 4 -5 gallons per day and I think I’ll run a straight water batch for a day when I clean it on Saturday. Let me know what you think or if you have grown it before. These girls continue to shine in the finals days. It's day 63 and they arrive at their destination. Will start plucking them one by one. First one being plant 3 I believe. Then two then one. Reverse order of naming. Been getting water every day and will have the final pictures soon.

didn't finish the whole week of veg, stopped at 53/44 before switching to 12/12 light cycle, gave RO only final day and have switched feed to bud a and B. all photos are from day 53 and earlier. since this post and switching to flower I have taken 4 clones, 2 using clonex 2 using aloe vera. i have done a ton of lollipopping and defoliation since flip and they are stretching away! stayed tuned for week 1 flower updates :)

This girl is still looking beautiful and filling out. She got a handful of the Coast of Maine 5-2-4 around her base, and I have some BT showing up tomorrow to combat those evil little inchworms that took up residence in some of the buds of the one I grew last year. Her color is great and she smells heavenly.

Week 5 baby! What a smooth ride this has been - these ladies are absolutely flying through veg. Gave them some cooler water today and they're vibing with it 💚 Still keeping nutrients minimal, just 1-2x weekly when they ask for it. Less is more with these girls!

Hi All, We are approaching harvest and will only use PHed water this week. Trichomes are mostly opaque and maybe 3-5% amber. This is my first time growing this strain so I don't know how she will finish. So I think I am going to chop part of it and leave the rest to ripen for another week. So stay tuned... ***Mid-week update*** Week 7 day 5 Made a cut and dried it for a day. Placed it under the microscope and took some photos and video. I think she has at least another week to go. I will only use Phed water this week. Maybe a molasses flush on week 7 day 7. Since this is my first time growing this strain and this is from seed so I might do a first cut and let it really mature for another week or two just to see if the bud will keep swelling up. Well into flowering now. She is definitely a more indica phenotype 😭 I must have lucked out first time round with such a Sativa phenotype 😍 I'd love to know more on this side. The likely phenotypes, and how and why they come about. Also what is the likelyhood/prevalence of each of the phenotypes....... So many questions 😂 But anyway, she's looking absolutely fab. Flowers developing well so on she goes a few more weeks! 👌

Hey Guys, so I have ran into some difficulties regarding our power supplier. Due to the current situation we are facing in South Africa the power company "Eskom" does not have ample supply to provide constant electricity to our country anymore. This is very sad. So they implement a system called "loadshedding" where the cut off power supply in certain suburbs at certain times. This has got me in a complete and utter flat spin as I'm not always at home when this happens. The past 2 weeks have been immensely rough as we we're scheduled for outages 3 times a day for 2,5 hour intervals. Between 02:00AM - 06:30 my tent's power went off (depending on scheduled time). This has in fact caused some VPD problems ( I tried getting up every night, but I still have to get enough sleep for work ). As you can imagine, it sucks BIG TIME. I've done my best to keep at par & doctored where I could. *Decreased Light Intensity (600W) *Decreased Wind Velocity on canopy Almost approaching the start of week 3. Feeding schedule from 3 day interval - 2 day interval ( 2L per feed ) Selective defoliation to get light on lower tops. Used some garden wire to support 2 main colas which we're too high. Note: Pest/Mould check done. Foliar sprayed with H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) @ coolest part of day - Next day applied high alkalinity ph'd water to kill mildew spores - Fan heater running from 03:30AM - 06:00AM, pulsing/regulating temp at 19-21°C [ until light comes on ] Grow Logging Light Distance From Canopy = 65cm Substrate Temp = 16 C Substrate PH = 6.0 Normal - Moist Level 79cm = Scrog Net Height 95cm = Tree Height PPFD = 20.1 C = Tent 45% RH

Estamos en su 8° semana y me encontré las plantas con una deficiencia grave de agua y nutrientes 😓 La persona al cargo no enia tanto cuidado e hizo un mal riego sin empapar bien todo el sustrato, lo que llevo a un secado de hojas y raices 😔 Por suerte he ajustado todo y parece que va recuperando fuerza y color. Esperemos que no influya mucho en el resultado final de esta maravillosa cepa. En el riego hemos ajustado el agua 💧 con un pH6 y he añadido diferentes nutrientes para alimentar al fruto y que empiece a engordar. •HR de 40-60% •Temperatura: dia 28°C / noche 26°C •Temperatura agua: 30°C •EC: 0.8 / PPM: 400
