A big hello to My fellow growers & friends 👋 Finally the big day has come, as of today at 7pm i will turn out the lights and start five (or so) days of darkness for the four lovely Killer Kush girls. The trichomes are reaady (in my opinion), it took a little bit longer than expected but it's the first time I grew photoperiods. Super happy how it turn out tought 😍 Here are the transcripts of how my week did go through: 12.09. My Ph is 5,95 and the girls drunk very little last night so i add some 4 ml. of Ph+ to the reservoir PH: 6,15 EC: 3.8 15.09. I thought that this day would be my last day of light for the plants but after heavy consideration and observation of the flowers i decided to give them 5 more days and with it some more nutrients adding: Jungle Indabox :A: 25ml. B: 75ml. M: 50ml. Plagron green Sensation: 82ml. Sugar Royal 33ml. Canna Cal Mag: 70ml. Hesi Powerzyme: 70ml. PH: 6,2 EC: 4.1 Yesterday on 18.IX. I came down to the basement and wound aa puddle of water (see the pictures) it was not system leak, sometimes my basement just takes on water...obviously it's more moisture is very unwelcome at this stage. I plugged in my dehumidifier and after couple hours the puddle was gone... you can see in the picture how much Watts my system is using all together with a dehumidifier included. Entering the 8th week and she is really doing fantastically! When compared to the first Black Jack I grew, with just LST, the differences are clear and impressive. The bud sites are easily 4 times as much. She is almost as tall as the first one was when I harvested her, and she is still only just beginning to flower. More stable and way easier to maintain after the mainlines are established. Super impressed and happy with the results and will absolutely utilize this technique more in future. Great results and super excited to see how big she gets to finish budding. All great things. Cheers

OK so I think I had a nute burn problem, this week they are on pure water and seem to be perking up a lot more now. Punch 2 has deffo put more on in buds, Punch 2 seems to be lagging idk. Anyway that's it for this week! I actually only have 2 more weeks to finish them off😭 I don't think I'm going to have enough time.

Letzte Tage vor dem Chop – Flieder-Terps & milchige Trichome 🌸👀 📅 Blütetag 73 | Gesamttag 133 Jetzt wirklich die letzten Meter im Double Run. Viel passiert nicht mehr – außer dass beide Ladies sichtbar auslaugen und immer zerlotterter wirken. Genau das, was man sehen will: sie ziehen jetzt konsequent die letzten Reserven aus den Blättern. Die White Gushers 33 braucht weiterhin Geduld, während die Triangle Sherbet Kush schon fast komplett milchig ist – kaum noch klare Trichome zu sehen. Reif ist sie definitiv, aber ich gebe beiden noch ein paar Tage extra, um den Sweet Spot sauber mitzunehmen. Beim Öffnen des Zelts kommt jetzt ganz klar eine florale Fliedernote durch – richtig angenehm und deutlich wahrnehmbar. Das Ganze geht in eine fruchtige, leicht süßliche Flieder-Richtung, sehr rund und schon jetzt ziemlich ausgeprägt. Seit einer Woche gibt es nur noch Wasser. Trotzdem trinken beide noch erstaunlich gut weiter – läuft also sauber bis zum Ende durch. Draußen wird’s langsam frühlingshaft, VPD deutlich entspannter – aktuell eher nebensächlich, aber zumindest keine kritische Feuchtigkeit mehr. Was mich etwas fuchst: die White Gushers 33 schiebt auf eigentlich fertigen Buds noch diese kleinen Türmchen. Nicht ideal, aber jetzt auch nichts mehr, was man noch beeinflussen kann. Ich gebe ihnen noch 3–4 Tage, maximal 5 – dann ist Schluss. ? 💬 Grow Frage Feedback – Dark Period vor der Ernte Im Zuge meiner Frage zur Dark Period vor der Ernte wollte ich das Ganze hier nochmal zusammenfassen: Vielen Dank erstmal an alle für den starken Input! 🙏 Es war wirklich interessant, die unterschiedlichen Meinungen zu sehen. Die meisten Grower sind sich einig, dass die Ernte am Morgen vor dem Einschalten des Lichts im normalen Zyklus der gängigste Weg ist. Einige setzen weiterhin auf eine 24–48-stündige Dunkelphase, während andere diese für unnötig halten und den natürlichen Rhythmus der Pflanze nicht unterbrechen wollen. Am Ende scheint es so zu sein, dass der richtige Reifegrad und das Timing wichtiger sind als eine abschließende Dunkelphase. Ich schätze die vielen Erfahrungswerte hier sehr – richtig wertvoller Input! Danke & Grow on 🌱 – Rocko 🔥 Final days before chop – lilac terps & cloudy trichomes 🌸👀 📅 Flower Day 73 | Day 133 Total Now it’s really the final stretch. Not much is happening anymore – except both ladies clearly fading and looking more worn out by the day. Exactly what you want to see: they’re pulling every last bit of nutrients from the leaves. The White Gushers 33 still needs a bit more patience, while the Triangle Sherbet Kush is already almost fully cloudy – barely any clear trichomes left. Definitely in the harvest window, but I’ll give them a few more days to really hit that sweet spot. When opening the tent now, a very clear floral lilac note comes through – super pleasant and quite pronounced. It leans towards a fruity, slightly sweet lilac profile, already very round and well developed. For about a week now, they’ve only been getting plain water. Interestingly, both are still drinking quite well – smooth finish so far. Spring is slowly kicking in outside, VPD is getting more stable – not very relevant at this stage anymore, but at least no excessive humidity. One thing that bugs me a bit: the White Gushers 33 is throwing small foxtails on already finished buds. Not ideal, but nothing you can really influence at this stage. I’ll give them another 3–4 days, max 5 – then it’s chop time. ? 💬 Community Feedback – Dark Period before Harvest Following my question about dark period before harvest, I wanted to sum it up here: Thanks everyone for the great input! 🙏 Really interesting to see the different opinions here. Most growers seem to agree that harvesting in the morning before lights turn on during the normal cycle is the most common approach. Some still like to add a 24–48h dark period, while others consider it unnecessary and prefer not to interrupt the plant’s rhythm. In the end it seems that proper ripeness and timing matters more than the final dark period itself. Appreciate all the experience shared here – lots of good insights! Thanks & Grow on 🌱 – Rocko

Girls started growing so fast due to the Aloe Vera Juice I had to flop them into flower early. They are just reeking of 🍋 right now smells like I'm in a lemon orchard. I think they are about done the transition. Hope they don't stretch much more.

Looking okay, the highest leaves are burning quite a lot, but I’m not worried a lot as the buds are forming nicely. I’ll be feeding a little less from now on as she doesn’t seem to need a full dose every watering.

Hi guys A day early but thought ill post this now day 20 from switch, just done a major defoliation on them I will do a final next week, im going to add a.little bit of nitrogen in the mix as I feel the bloom doesn't have enough in it on its own, plants are doing well tho. Bullets are appearing now so thats a good sign, installed the ac infinity s6 cloudline and put in the dehumidifier. I'll keep you all posted Happy growing guys Day 22 from flip Hi guys I done the day 21 defoliation yesterday to expose the bud sites. So this week my plants are looking really hungry. I am using the bloom mix and trying to get some colour back in the leaves. The blue cheese is by far the better plant at this stage. I'll keep you updated. Happy growing guys 👌💪💚

The increased CO2 allows plants to thrive at higher temperatures, which in turn necessitates higher humidity to maintain the ideal VPD for healthy growth and transpiration. 80F -5F = 75F LST with 70% RH = 0.72 kPa. Higher temperatures and humidity promote rapid growth, nutrient uptake, and photosynthesis while maintaining a lower stress level. Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. Enzymes, such as those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, work most efficiently at an optimal temperature range. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. In high temperatures, enzymes can become denatured, thus impairing their function and stopping the process of aerobic respiration. Glucose is the primary fuel for aerobic respiration. The rate of aerobic respiration increases with the availability of glucose, as it is the starting point for glycolysis. If glucose levels are low, cells may rely on alternative energy sources such as fatty acids or amino acids , but these processes may yield less ATP or be less efficient. To determine this effect, carbon dioxide volume was measured (as carbon dioxide is an output of aerobic respiration) 18/6 with the 6 being IR. The near infrared (IR-a) borders around 700nm up to 1400nm @ photon par flux density of 1.8 instead of darkness, keeping temps overnight a neat 77F-80F. Think of my tent as a lung. What goes in must come out. When the rate of air going out exceeds the amount of air coming in, it creates a negative pressure. Tent concaves (bends in). If set up correctly, your RH will begin to drop slowly to the desired level you set, and the extraction turns off when it reaches 50% RH. The plant, as it performs cellular respiration, will always be releasing more water into the air, so the RH% of the tent overnight will always increase, so long as oxidative phosphorylation is occurring. As soon as the RH% creeps back up to 55%, the extraction turns back on, over and over. This creates a strong pressure differential which will work wonders on your grow. Replicating high and low-pressure fronts in nature. Critical for oxygen diffusion at the critical time of peak cellular respiratory function.. Moisture will not transfer from a saturated atmosphere to another if that air is already at or above its saturation point, meaning the air can't hold any more water vapor. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, and then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, results in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow more slowly to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments.
