04/01/21 Amazing colours have came through during cure showing off her red and purple! And she’s frosty all over and tastes like a tropical dream!mango pineapple tones with a side of lime! Would defiantly recomiod Update; colours are coming through got some amazing hues just uploaded some vids 😍 Got the green pheno on both???! But it’s but either way I love this strain tastes a lot like the black cream auto I’ve done of sweet seeds too. So many colours in the bud and the flavour is immense throughout! Tastes like tropical mango and slight pineapple with a lovely pungent limeish taste it’s so nice and the high sent me to sleep when I tested the result! Just had to lay there and close my eyes and enjoy it and woke up to the end of my film ahahah would defiantly recommend Anyone growing very easy and amazing results!

Good plant overall, wish it was a bigger plant because bud structure is very nice Had a little bit of spider mites but took care of it quickly, overall handled the heat very well and this one had no bud rot Will run this stain again since I have some more seeds, hoping for a bigger phenotype next time :)

📆 Week 9, 7-13 December 2023 7-13 December - Continued with simple adjustment of branches to receive maximum light. There was no defoliation of any leaf this week. Her growth rate has slowed and I believe she is heading in to the bulking stage. I’m satisfied with her size at this point. 8 December - Turned light power from 50% up to 75%, and raised lights from 18” to 21” from top of plant to facilitate the bulking phase of flowering. 📑 Let’s briefly discuss light and umol/m2/s or PPFD. First of all its all about numbers. Is there an agreeable starting point on these figures - the cannabis plant requires between 100-300 PPFD in seedling, 400-700 PPFD in vegetation, and 800-1000 PPFD in flower. It can go up to 1500 PPFD with certain C02 concentrations. I believe this may be generally accepted. Never being much of a numbers person, in ways I avoid it. I’ve grown indoor weed for a long time without a fancy device to tell me what this number was, the plant did that. A quality light and the plant itself will talk to each other in a matter of hours sometimes, days in others, I just need observe. But what I have come to realize the past few years is that these numbers, found in simple instruments (apps for smart phones) give us a very specific area of where she is within all these spectrums. It allows us more precision and insight to what would otherwise be a possible weak or vulnerable spot within our grow. I’ll use mine on a new strain, and to verify any questions. They are easily accessible tools for the common gardner. When we adjust our lights we can measure what will be optimal for our plant. Using my case in point; from: 50% power or 890 PPFD at 18” to: 75% power or 1080 PPFD at 21” **if not raised 3” - that number would have been 1320 PPFD - likely damage the plant - or raised any higher there would be no real benefit in what I’m attempting to achieve - likely waste of power** The 2023 ViperSpectra XS2000 lights (the ones I use) come with a new switch now that go from 25, 50, 75, 100% power and no option in between. So that kind of put a kink in a week or two during my grows I have to work around. Going from 50-75% power is a big shift in light intensity, and these lights are bright. Knowing what that number is and being able to adjust the height precisely to avoid damage is reassuring. I appreciate advancements that make growing a little easier. In most personal grows during flower I’ll go well over 1000 PPFD depending on the strain tolerance, without C02. Here are my experiences why: 1) my set-up allows it, 2) that number only reflects the greatest reading at the highest point on the plant - my reports, 3) when the plant is budding it is absorbing much more photons than when in the leafy only stage - everything is accelerated - this is a totally different discussion, 4) the additional light provided will proportionally increase a higher yield, and finally, 5) some of todays theories on light will change in 5 years, as it has from 10 years before, we still have a lot to research. LEDs are definately cream of the crop, but there is something new to learn I’m sure. Until then I can only tweak what I have in search for a tighter bud, higher in THC. I said I would briefly discuss this subject. Everything is possible with lights. It is science that says the cannabis plant does not have to produce secondary metabolites (trichomes and cannabinoids), in some cases it may not. It produces them based on its environment. She returns to you what you dedicate toward her. I have noticed some weird things like boated packaging, off gassing and weird consistency with the nutrient line up so far and been in contact with the reps online about it, They said everything is normal and not to worry. Another new thing with this grow is how it will be grown under the new LED's by Medic Grow. They will be under two of their MINI-SUN 2 240W LED grow lights using their V1 Spectrum, Its good from seed to harvest. You can find more information about this in the foot note. Just going to wait for another week till It pops up and will update as follows. Watered in with PH of 6.2 and a EC of 0.6 or 340ppm 500 scale. This is part of a 5 part diary in conjunction with medic grow led lights, in the beginning it was to be 6 plants but one of the selected strains died out and its replacement/backup seeds also failed. May 15: later start as a replacement for my failure on Durban Poison. Have wanted to fit this one in for a while and should be an easy and reliable grow. Top tip for germination stage is get a heating mat. My house is usually about 18 C but cannabis, tomatoes and pepper all need it warmer to start properly. So, get a heating mat. i usually keep it at about 26 C. Next germination tip is to expose the newly sprouted seed to ethylene gas just before it first reaches light. This is a huge tip for all growers. Seed ‘priming’ using ethylene gas in dark before seedling is exposed to light. https://scitechdaily.com/accidental-discovery-how-a-whiff-of-an-unusual-chemical-transforms-seedlings-into-super-plants/ Seed priming works. I tried it last year on peppers, tomatoes and cannabis. 😎 This is as big a tip as my standard “get a pH meter”. Seed priming takes minimal effort (use a ripe apple or banana) and it certainly seems to pay off big time as shown by my last two seasons. I’ll be doing this every single time now.

(Days 28-35) (Day 29) Everything seems to have recovered fine from topping so I transplanted into their 1.7 gallon pots. They were pretty rootbound so this should make them nice and happy. Going to start LST after recovery. Got a ton of holes poked around the rim of the bucket which should make tying down easier. I’ve been asking around on some forums and reading some articles and I’ve decided to switch out my MH bulb for the included HPS bulb. Apparently HPS bulbs will stretch the nodes out quite a bit more and provide higher PAR value for the same amount of electricity. My plants are looking pretty small for day 29. Although, that could just be from stuffing 15 plants under one 250-400w light. I’ve been powering the lights up to 400w at night and back down to 250 during the day. 400 just gets it too hot during the day (86-88) without ventilation. That temperature should be fine in veg once my co2 has really built up some mycelium. (Day 32) Just got 14/15 topped. The BCTG runt is just going to be lst’d and not topped or fimmed. I decided to just fim the plants I started later so they’d have a bit more time to recover and catch up to the others. I also LST’d all 9 quite well. Almost had a stem break but she’s doing just fine now. The deformed bbb was accidentally fimmed and as a result it’s got a very trippy looking main stem that has branched off into 6 mains. I definitely have fungus gnats. Fuckers must have got in with that coco I bought from hydro store. This has never happened to me with just promix but the benefits of coco are too much to pass up. I might order an OG BioWar/capsbennies/grubgrenade to help naturally get rid of them. I’m getting some confirmed yellowing on bottoms of the zkittlez and WW’s. They must be heavy feeders because no other plant in the tent is getting yellow like that. I’m going to feed a compost tea, top dress everything at full strength and mulch in some worm castings to help break it down faster. Will also do a foliar spray with some insect frass, microbes and m1pps. (Day 33) Got some more of that marine phytoplankton stuff to help stabilize my RO water. It’s got a good amount of soluble magnesium and trade minerals in it so that should help stop the yellowing on the zkittlez and WW. (Day 34) Things are looking great so far and they’re all recovered from topping/transplant/lst and thriving. Some slight yellowing and a few of the plants are cupping from heat and high humidity. I just put in a dehumidifier to help bring the rh down. The m39/zkittlez bagseed plant is just outpacing everything in the tent by 4-6 days. No wonder organized crime used to grow it. I hear it can completely flower in 45 days with a solid yield and very little trimming or leaf matter. It’s very weak on the high and smell though. Nonetheless it should be nostalgic to try those old terps. There is still a small chance that it’s a super vigorous zkittlez plant too. Plants should be showing sex this coming week. Hoping for 8+ fems but I can make do with just 4. 1-3 is unlikely but that would piss me off beyond belief. I’ve heard of it happening though.

All girlz are growing super fast and healthly. I'm so confused now on who's who. I know all four plants look alike divivded into two. I think the two very light green plants is Banana Kush and the other two is Zkittlez. I am so done on raising four plants in this tent, all future grows will be limited to three.
