I got a week and a half notice that I had to go on a work trip out of country for 10 days, so the clown show continued. I was definitely overwatering them. Thanks @shinsimilla, I saw the difference after waiting a few extra days. Also, I definitely should have started LST at least a week earlier than I did. Now for work issues: I found an old security camera that the cats had knocked over a million times and damaged. With a lot of tape, I got it working again and set up in the tent so I could see what’s going on while gone. Be warned, the photos are NOT good quality. I also looked up DIY self-watering systems. I needed it as simple as possible to reduce the risk of something breaking while I was thousands of miles away. I found one where it wicks water up a cotton or wool string. Here's the link: https://youtu.be/P0hn5cKZ0Z0 I cut up an old 10K shirt that was made of cotton. I had just broken down my balcony garden since it’s already getting cold here. I took two long planters, lined them with a construction garbage bag to be the reservoirs. Even though the floor of the grow tent is waterproof and I put plastic between the floor and outside of the grow tent, I didn’t want to risk any water getting out while I was away. I was nervous y’all. Basically, you wet the fabric then use a chopstick to run the it through the plant from bottom to top. It needs to be long enough to have a few inches sitting in the bottom of the reservoir. I filled each with 3L of water with the BioBizz nutrients mixed in and ph’d to 6.1. More info in week 5.

What can i say, a fantastic plant, responding well to this organic grow with no hiccup so far. This week i tied down the lower branches using LST method and also tucked in (not removed) some leaves that where blocking good bud sites Thinking i might apply a Scrog in the next week or two for added support. Again watering when needed, 2L every second day or so.

11/12: day 35 of flower. final defoliation - just on autopilot now. These ladies should now be moving on to that last stretch of maturity. And so I did a final defoliation. The dramatic differences between all 4 of these is interesting to say the least. #4 is probably my favorite pf the group. It is so frosty compared to the other 3 and its not even close. #1 is the monster of the bunch with #3 close behind it. Both of those plants have grown monster buds considering I'm only in week 5-6. #2 is just a disappointment all together. It is small, has produced only small popcorn nugs. They all now smell very strongly of sweet lemon chemicals/fuel. The smells dramatically changed this week and im hoping it gets even more smelly. I am still very frustrated with the lack of purple. So much so that i am considering tossing all of the clones i have for these cause i dont yet see a reason to keep a mother. I was after the purple and lemon. I have lots of green lemon smelling seeds that i already know love the bud from. I am looking forward to the next week as these start to finish up.

*Sorry for the shitty pics and video... my iPhone camera will not stop glitching and is having trouble focusing. Flushed about 4.5 liters of R/O water with 100ppm of Cal/Mag as a buffer to keep PH stable at 6.0 in my res. About 3 days later flushed again with 2 liters and continuing to repeat as medium drys out every other day. Plants are almost all faded to a nice purple. Trichomes are cloudy and will be chopping a couple of days into week 9. Smell is amazing as usual - pungent fruit punch gas. Looking forward to turning this room around and repeating. I'll try to start posting some other journals of different strains as well. Keep an eye out for Garanimals and Sundae Driver both by Cannarado Genetics.

This week was very rainy and it happend what I was afraid the most: botrytis. I was worried since the begging because the plant is very compact and small, the air don't flow very good in it, so when the humidity went up to 90% and the temperature was 13°C, the fungi attacked my girl. I cut down two big colas because of it :( but you know sh*t happens, I was at work and hadn't got the opportunity to take in my girls. Friday I will cut her down and wah the buds, we'll see how much she can give me.

Blue Cheese F1 automatic Week 11 Flower 7 Blue Cheese 1 is in her last week; March 17 Blue Cheese 1 that was planted in coco had her wet trim and was put in the dark for 2 days before getting the chop on March 20. Blue Cheese 1 shows fade and nutrient usage in the upper leaves. I also see pinks and purples in the buds and leaves. They look pretty with lime greens, pinky purples in the bud formation. The buds are stacking fatter and packing on more resin on the buds which are sticky and hard. The trichomes look mostly milky with some amber as well. The stems are strong and support the heavy buds. Blue Cheese 2 in soil will remain with her tent mates Pink Rozay & Love Potion. After flushing excess nutrients out of the soil and plant, Blue Cheese 1 in coco is matured faster than Blue Cheese 2 in soil. Blue Cheese 2 shows trichome formation starting to milk up compared to BC1. Her leaves are still green with no fading. The older pistils are turning orange brown and water consumption is slowing down for both girls. She still needs a few more weeks before I’ll start flushing. Blue Cheese 2 was fed on March 17 & 19. Pics were taken on the 17th. Bloom Juice 120 ml Royal Rush 0 ml Power bud 15 ml Green sensation 15ml Cal Mag 20ml Recharge 5ml Ppm ranged from 676-777 Ph 6.5 Temp 68 Your likes and comments are appreciated. Made it 67 days before the chop. •••03/21/2020 After a 6 day hang I've trimmed and started to jar cure. Had a total flower weight of 85 grams. Over all I'm pleased. Will update with a smoke report in about 3 weeks.

I covered the basket with hydroton pebbles after this pic to prevent light leak into my reservoir. I also buried the rockwool to prevent algae growth. I rinse my clay pebbles with PH treated water to avoid reservoir contamination. The major structural issues is primarily due to the cold temperature of the water in my reservoir. It was hitting -30c temps outside. It took me a minute for it to set in that my reservoir temperature was the culprit. I had a water temperature regulator ordered; in the meantime, she kind suffers slow growth and wilting. DWC tip#2: If your water is cold, get a water warmer; Alternately, you will see if water is too hot, get a water chiller. Both extremes are really something you can’t ignore you should have a solution before germinating your seed.
