Ok so I put a significant amount of time into this grow. Learned a ton (everything lol) as it was my first. After the final week, I decided to harvest when the trichs were milky and clear. Few amber here and there but time constraints meant I had to chop a bit earlier than I’d have preferred. I do prefer a more uplifting cerebral effect yet realize with an indica leaning strain, having all cloudy and maybe 25% amber would have been 👌🏼. My drying process began by chopping a plant at a time, I washed the buds to get the PM or traces off (also grime from outdoor city air). I used a big bucket and did hydrogen peroxide. In heindsight I would have used baking soda as well and did a two step wash. After washing them, I hung to dry with a fan until they stopped dripping then into the tent they went for drying at roughly 68 degrees and 55% humidity. I staggered the harvest and wet trimmed about 70% of the time with the latter 30% dry trimmed. This was done for convenience and to try both ways. I dried everything for about 12-13 days until the smallest stems snapped and the larger ones were borderline cracking. I started jarring everything with humidity meters, about a half oz per smaller widemiuth jam jar. The smell was never hay-like but did vary in strength and scent from plant to plant. Almost no seeds which was pretty great to see. One of the outdoor plants had quite a few seeds so I kept that separate. It ironically had the stinkiest floral smell. So what’s the total!! After curing in jars for about a month, I weighted everything and came out with 10.5oz of cured trimmed flower and about 2 oz of sugar leaf trim which I am making canna butter with and cooking. Made some reduculously strong cookies: 11 cookies from about 10 grams of trim. Ate two and was medicated for about 24hrs 😂. Some of the buds were super dense and cured down to 58 RH easily. There were a few of the large big buds that had mass but less density and fewer trichomes. These were more red-hair visually than the others. The smoke: surprisingly smooth. The effect is energizing and uplifting at first, with a nice sedative body feeling on the second half of things. Overall, I’m super happy with the result. Learned a TON and will be modifying my approach a bit next go-around this spring. Stay tuned!!!

Have some Hurkle regular seeds i got my hands on. I germinated them and they sprouted. Pictures are a real testament to genetics, and pheno types. all planted same day other the same circumstance and rotation in hot spots. all diff sizes and leaves are a different health. This grow is an experiment the weakest one will stay in the tent and go 12/12 after its first set of true leaves to see quality. the 2 bigger ones will be for an outdoor balcony grow on the lake. Direct sunlight from 6am-2pm. Right now they are in the tent for another week until the temperature is a little more consistent outside. then i will transplant.

For this grow I kept my setup a lot simpler than last year. Going with Jack 47 because, well, reviews are awesome and we've had success with Sweet Seeds germinating well. From the pics and videos you can see I've got a simple bucket for the plant with no air stone, pump, or other shit in the plant bucket. All that is in the reservoir. Should make it easier to clean, flush, etc. I'll be able to just pop the lid off (with plant in the net) and put it on a clean bucket with pH balanced water while I clean the rest of the system, then hook it right back up. I also over-designed so I could add a second grow bucket if I want. Don't have space for that at the moment but non-loadbearing walls are easy to move, right? Using General Hydroponics for nutrients and Hydroguard for good measure. Knock wood I'm not jinxing things by posting before I have seedlings.

The plant is now becoming more and more mature, I have started to discontinue the fertilizer and only water with CalMag fertilizer, and very little at that. The color of the leaves now clearly changes to purple. The smell is sweet but still slightly citrusy. The plant will now be harvested in about 10 days. Ph value, Dli and ppfd still the same Flowering day: 56

Well all going good around here. This week will see a significant stretch, now that she is heading towards full flowering. Will stay close and keep removing leaves blocking the light to bud sites. 👍🏻👍🏻🌱🌱

It's only 3 weeks today from when the seed packs were opened. Pretty incredible if you ask me. If you're curious, I kept the nutes at about 1/8 to 1/4 strength until transplant. That's when I upped nutes according to my chart.

Day 38: All very healthy and well, I said I wouldn't be doing any topping this round and i haven't. Been doing a lot of LST/Bending (haven't used any ties as i dont want holes or marks on my rdwc system buckets) but if anything else im challenging myself. As you can see, plants look quiet bald after defoliation but definitely bounce back better if done right. Opening up the plant so its more bushy and exposing potential bud sites, not rocket science just basic logic. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe during this time. Hello Diary. New diary, in the fifth farm I have three new residents, one Fat Banana and two Haze Berry. Both sides are from the Royal Queen Seeds. And this diary is dedicated only to Fat Banana. I always try to make a balance between sativa and indica, since I do creative work, I am a big fan of sativa, although in the evening, when my obligations are over, I like to relax with indica. So this time I planted two Haze Berry Auto that are predominantly sativa and one Fat Banana which is more indica. WHY FAT BANANA? Fat Banana Automatic stinks of tropical fruits and produces large, chubby flowers. The strain is the autoflowering version of Fat Banana, an aromatic classic. I prepared everything I needed for planting, cleaned the farm and changed the filter. I put Primaklima filter - PK 100/125. This time I decidet for AirPots, I also used them in the first two farms, BioBizz-Light Mix is ​​already standard on my farm and Easy Boost and Easy Roots Mycorrhiza Mix from RQS as organic nutrition. Since the first farm I use only organic fertilizers and for now I have used BioBizz and RQS organic nutrition. I set the lights 35cm from the pots as Migro recommends. 14 - 17/09/2020 I sprayed the surface of the soil with water a couple of times to keep the soil moisture at the surface. Also the humidity dropped so I put on a humidifier for a couple of days. 18/09/2020 Fat Banana sprouted, a day later from her first roommate Haze Berry. 19/09/2020 Watering. I watered with about a liter of water with regulated p.H. 23/09/2020 Watering. Regulated by p.H. at 6.4 and gave her approximately 1 liter of water. I think Grow Diaries made a great decision to put this germination week as an option, yet that germination process is just as important and it’s great to have room to write more and show how each of us does it. 8/21/24. Going into week 8 flower Are we there yet? Haha.. no. Day 57 out of stated 70. 13 days? Hmmm I don’t know. I thought she might go longer than that, BUT now I think it’ll be less. I suspect another week and she’ll be ready. Appearance wise, I’d say she’s pretty much there.. trichomes say other wise. Still quite a bit of clear with the start of milky coming. It’s all gonna be about ripening now. Water/fed her today. She’s yellowing heavily or I would have already stopped. I’m guessing this is just her type of fade. No real colors going other than yellow. Maybe that’s because she’s a banana 😄 I increased the light to 80% a couple days ago just to be a pushy bitch. I’ll decrease it way down to probably about 40-50% in a few days because I like to do that when they’re finishing up to help bring temperature down and I think it makes them wrap it up. These pictures don’t do justice to the fatness of these buds. They’re obese and not ashamed. Body positivity with this girl. Somehow some of the buds have suicided. Aka jumped out of their spot in the trellis and tried to hit the floor. I can’t do anything about it really. Can’t reach them and can’t be bothered. Smell? Skunky rotten fruity…idk. And coffee? You can smell it through the place and maybe at the neighbors LOL Wellp. Waiting game now. See yuh next time ✌️
