The plant of course is much more smaller with the restricted root zone causing a bonsai effect. However, she performed really well under the circumstances with a relatively large yield all things considered. I usually smoke high CBD but was very impressed with this high. Let's see how it goes after spending more time under the influence. Review... Growing in the solo cup sized container proved to be much more challenging than a regular grow. The plant soon became stressed dealing with the tiny root zone making everything hyper sensitive. The first issue was showing as tip burn even though the ppm was kept in the 650-850 range. Then the leaves showed a general yellowing overall specially showing at the bottom fan leaves. At this point I was changing the nutrient solution every 2-3 days trying different nutrient brands and concentrations seemingly without much success. It was a nerve wracking period which ultimately lead me back to General Hydroponics with amendments. I did learn that the plant can weather the storm even with less than perfect vegetative leaves while she focuses all her energies into calyx production. It’s was upsetting to see less than stellar health but eventually all the leaves drop and the flowers power on seemingly without issue. The cascading diamond structure developed as a result of a couple broken branches that occurred during the training process in an effort broaden the plant profile with wider lateral spacing. Although initially upset when the fractured branches that withered after being bandaged up and . After removal of said branches it was exciting to see the new possibilities. The cascade formation called for additional side lighting to maintain uniform bud size all the way down the front lower end of the plant. I was looking to create a stadium like effect. The experience of operating the visual hydroponic unit called for a number of practical adjustments along the way. Although initially, very excited with the system concept as an integrated design with nutrient solution supply and gravity drain through the pump, with the air supply inside the pipe with the air bubbler acting as the drain/root filter... in hindsight, obviously, it would not work as the root mass became denser and denser. The first issue, as the path of least resistance, the air was forced back down the nutrient supply pipe. This prevented the pump from priming itself and subsequently no nutrient solution delivery was even possible. As a result, the original air stone was left in place to prevent the roots from entering the nutrient tank and a new bubbler stone simply added to the tank itself. Although the original idea was for the air to be continuously pumping directly through the roots, the flood and drain would actually be just as good when drawing the fresh air in and out with each pump/drain of nutrient solution. The ON cycle was initially set to 10 seconds which eventually became 30 seconds as the roots mass grew denser. This proved to be too unreliable as the fill level was no longer consistent which required constant monitoring to be sure that there was no flooding over and above the container lid. It which case, a simple feeder tube to the top of the root zone was the best option. The ON cycle was set to 5 seconds with a 15 minute OFF interval. Overall the biggest concern was the timer itself, which had several bad reviews for malfunctions with growers losing their plants. However, I have no choice as this was one of the few timers that was capable of cycling down to the second but it all workout fine in that regard… no problem. Was it a perfect grow?... no, definitely not. However, as a relative beginner, it was definitely a great learning experience. Mostly, I need to work on the nutrient blend and concentration. For more control, a backup tank with float valve delivery to maintain the water level for this particular system would be a good idea as well.

This is where we are at .. I don't know if I should cut the bigger leaves to help with energy 🤔

more liquid seaweed foliar spray and Silica. Pre flower has not started on this plant yet, prob due to the fact it was put out 2 week later than the rest which are in full pre flower. plant has grown a whopping 18" this week. Amazing!

Plants are all a little out of sync with each other due to multiple strains. Most are in early flower, a couple in late veg but the big Tangiematic is way ahead of the rest. Warm wet weather is making humidity a bit of an issue, hit 80% at one point so I've had to turn the outtake fan up to full power.

To get higher temperatures I placed the growbox near the radiator, dimmer still at 25%, boiled tap water also this week, this guaranteed me an ideal pp for the beginning, from now on I will use mountain water which will allow me to use less fertilizer.

Week 9 This week has been fairly busy in the tent. I have defoliated a couple of times and there has been a lot of tying the plant down. I also connected all my top off lines and drain lines. The top of my tent was a bit of a mess with cords and cables etc so I cleaned that rats nest up and that gave me the warm and fuzzies when I was done lol. I raised my lights up to where I hope to flower so that way the plant can grow up into the lights when the stretch hits. I have not reached 16 tops yet but I will be topping in the next few days so I am very close to the desired number of tops. I have not changed anything inside the cooler either. It’s the same ppm, pH etc as last week. I love how healthy this plant is even though I have not done a water change in 9 weeks lol. That’s blasphemy is some circles lol. 😎🌱🍻

Greetings, fellow growers and cosmic adventurers! As we bid farewell to Week 10, we find ourselves at the culmination of an extraordinary journey with our beloved Apolo F1. Join me as we embark on a retrospective voyage through the highs and lows, the triumphs and challenges, of this cosmic odyssey. Our journey with Apolo F1 began ten weeks ago, a small seedling filled with potential and promise. From those humble beginnings, she grew and flourished under our watchful gaze, unfurling her leaves and reaching for the stars with each passing day. Through meticulous care and nurturing attention, we witnessed her transformation into a true botanical queen. Throughout her growth cycle, we employed various techniques to coax the best from our cosmic companion. From LST to topping, we shaped and sculpted her canopy, encouraging lateral growth and maximizing light penetration. As a result, Apolo F1 flourished, her branches reaching skyward in a testament to the power of cultivation and the wonders of nature. Central to Apolo F1's journey was the nourishment provided by Aptus Holland, our steadfast companion and sponsor. With their nutrient lineup, we crafted a symphony of minerals and organic compounds, tailored to her specific needs at each stage of growth. From seedling to harvest, Aptus Holland's nutrients fueled her cosmic voyage, ensuring robust health and abundant yields. And now, the moment we've all been waiting for: the harvest. With bated breath and eager hands, we carefully snipped each bud from the canopy, marveling at their dense, resinous beauty. Apolo F1 had exceeded our wildest expectations, her compact stature yielding a bounty of cosmic goodness. As she hangs upside-down, her buds curing in the cool darkness, we reflect on the journey that brought us here—a journey filled with wonder, growth, and boundless possibility. Before we bid adieu, let us extend heartfelt thanks to Royal Queen Seeds for crafting the genetic marvel that is Apolo F1. Their dedication to excellence has brought joy and inspiration to growers around the world, and we are grateful for their contributions to our green adventures. Likewise, a shoutout to Grow Diaries and the entire community for their unwavering support and camaraderie. Together, we have cultivated a garden of dreams, and the harvest is sweeter for it. As we gaze upon Apolo F1, our cosmic queen, we are filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment. She is more than just a plant—she is a testament to the power of cultivation, the wonders of nature, and the boundless potential of the human spirit. Coming to a close here with Tangie'matic. This grow has been so enriching! I decided to go outside of my comfort zone and head strong into the controversial world of topping autoflowers. Some people swear by it, others stand by their stance that topping an autoflower will destroy any chance at a decent yield by stunting the plant in its already limited life cycle. This plant has been a true partner throughout this grow process. I pushed with the top, she pushed back with buds. I pushed her again by changing her grow environment when I decided to prematurely move my grow tent into the basement. She stacked and fattened. When I traveled and let her house get too chilly, she tossed me a couple of foxtails to remind me that I need to do a better job. I responded with more environment correction and she rewarded me by finishing up beautifully.
