Ultimately I want to go full organic but time is life's richest commodity, so it will probably be a few seasons before I get their. Also I don't have a drying setup which is a problem for this next run which is in week-1 rn (I go week one staring veg in my calendar). For drying / curing, I'm looking at fitting out a second hand wine fridge as I cant spend heavy on the Cure Puck or any of those auto fridge setups. Who knows maybe they come down in price. Strawberry Cake Auto has grown good. I battled with ph issues here, and there during the grow. She is really frosty, and has a strong Strawberry Aroma. I will post a harvest video if it allows me. These ladies continue to develop very nicely and lucky stopped stretching pretty much in the beginning of this week and the buds are forming super nicely. Since I also don’t observe a stretch in flower anymore, I decided to feed pk13/14 for the next week. It continues to surprise me how hungry these autos are, much hungrier than my glookies fro example. Unfortunately I realized that the plant on the very right of the box produces much smaller buds than the other two. I am pinning that on the fan right above her, so have pointed it slightly higher, but I guess the damage is done:(.

She took off like a rocket. This week she’s definitely growing day by day. I bought a cctv to monitor my plants while I’m not at home. She loves the nutrients I’m giving her. I’ll probably grow her for about 1.5 feet in height and flip her until she can cover the entire 2x2 tent. We’ll see in the next weeks

Plant is showing signs of possible nitrogen and phosphorus deficiency with brown curling leaves and purple tipped leaves, but not too worried about it seeing as there's only about a few weeks left of growth. Removing smaller fan leaves to uncover bud sites. Heavy smells of pine and berries 😁

The pictures and video are the start from week 2 flowering, the light is an apollo 10 full spectrum, plants vegged for only 3 weeks. if i veg longer i feel its a waste of time because the buds are very small inside the plants where the light cant reach. purple haze got defoliated during week 2 of flowering (the last 3pictures)

Without support, branches would fall under their own weight, which is a good sign of strong flower density but also a reminder of the importance of plant training. The frost continues to thicken, and the trichomes look spectacular up close, sparkling in photos and videos like tiny glass forests. ⸻ ⚠️ Trouble in Paradise – Bud Rot But with big flowers also come risks. This week, Bud Rot (Botrytis cinerea) showed up on BlueBerry #2. • Conditions: High humidity (65%+, sometimes higher) combined with dense flowers created the perfect environment for rot. • Detection: Early spotting saved the plant. It thrives in humid, poorly ventilated conditions, especially inside large dense colas where moisture can hide. How to prevent: • Keep humidity lower during flower (ideally 40–50%). • Maintain constant airflow across and through the canopy. • Defoliate strategically to open airflow inside dense plants. • Avoid watering late in the cycle to reduce night-time moisture. What to do if it appears: • Act quickly. Remove all affected buds immediately. • Sterilize scissors/tools between cuts to avoid spreading spores. • Keep monitoring daily — once it appears, it can spread fast. Bud Rot is every grower’s nightmare, but also one of the most important lessons in environmental balance. ⸻ 💡 Lessons Learned (and Moving Forward) This 8x8 setup is teaching us a lot. For the next run, I’ll be redesigning the airflow system entirely to prevent these issues. For now, the plants are still thriving, and catching the rot early means we can continue with this grow. Big flowers are a blessing, but they require serious air control. Also recived my Jack's Nutrients today. Will finish out this grow with Mills Nutrients and will give Jack's a go on next run. Pretty excited to compare.
