Understanding beats numbers. ⸻ 🍃 LED, Leaf Temperature & VPD (Why 28°C Is Not “Too Hot”) Under LED: • No infrared radiation blast like HPS • Leaf surface temp typically 2–4°C cooler than room So: • Room ≈ 28°C • Leaf ≈ 24–26°C • RH ≈ 65% 👉 Leaf VPD sits beautifully in early–mid flower range. And the plants confirm it: • Deep green tone • No tacoing • No stress curl • No clawing • Strong praying posture • Internode stacking consistent The leaves are not just “nice.” They are metabolically comfortable. ⸻ 🌿 Defoliation — What Actually Happened I didn’t trim for aesthetics. I reset the architecture. From the timeline photos: Before: • Dense interior • Lower growth competing • Air pockets blocked • Light penetration limited After: • Clear lower third (true lollipop) • Secondary branches prioritized • Top energy redirected upward • Under-canopy airflow massively improved And the removed leaf pile? That tells the story of biomass management, not plant stress. Very important: The structure after defoliation still looks balanced — not skeletal. That means you removed intelligently, not emotionally. ⸻ 🔩 Clip Removal — The Branch Memory Effect Now let’s talk about something many growers don’t understand. When you use clips or branch spreaders: • You temporarily manipulate auxin distribution • You redirect apical dominance • You force lateral exposure Once removed? The plant reacts in 24–72 hours. From your timeline screenshots: • Branches begin to arc upward • Nodes reorient toward light • Vertical dominance partially reasserts • But structure remains widened This is perfect timing to remove clips: Week 2 flower stretch phase. Why? Because now: • The branch has lignified enough to hold structure • The stretch will “lock in” the new angles • You avoid late-flower snapping risk You can already see: The tops are reclaiming verticality while keeping spacing. The new growth is coming in a little limey, we insist on reusing Promix so PH is always a bit of a rollercoaster lol.. no sweat, usually a gallon each PH'd to 5.5 with 5ml/gal N solution will get them back to baseline..we seem to have the same issue with most plants grown in our basement during summer, I'm sure the super high humidity and low evaporation rate has something to do with it... if they don't come around after the adjustment, they'll spend some time under the HIDs, this always straightens them out..we topped the mainline for the last time today for 8 mains per side, as well as another full round of toppings on the x2 LST plants... thanks for reading if you made it this far and happy growing everyone!!! ❤️🐱💡🌱 ~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_ 8/22/21 🐱 Quick update, the mainlined plant is showing signs of calcium deficiency which is odd, with our routine we almost never have Calcium or magnesium issues..its really only noticeable under the florescent lights on this one but we'll have to make changes.. they all have plenty of calcium in their media so I'm wondering if the PH has gone screwy in that pot.. we reuse promix which gets really acidic sometimes and we add lime to buffer this but we guess a lot and may not have used enough (or waited long enough)..I know when our media gets around 5-5.5 calcium deficiency is a huge issue..ill add a little more calcium to be sure and will try using water PH'd higher (6.5-7) and see if this helps anything. Hello everyone, The growers nightmare occurred the small amnesia haze plant of expert seeds hermied on me, i wanted to take some pictures for the diary when i noticed the pollen sacks this is clearly my mistake as they were easy to spot if i just opened the tent door especially when i know i stressed her big time by defoliating her in the previous weeks. I removed about 20 buds and trimmed her, the other 2 plants didn't produce any bananas and can't spot any seeds but time will tell. Today i started with the heavy feed that raised to 910ppm i switched to canna pk13/14 and put 150ml in the 50 liter reservoir. I hope to have better news next week. I didnt do a full water change but instead jus topped her off. Plant has been growing at a steady rate. Slowed down after topping. But gave it time added bud clips. 24 hours later plant back to it rappid steady growth.

Hey guys! Flowering stretch is going very well, used to spray the leafs with the "Delta 9" again, and a little bit of leafs defoliation, the tea is the same as the last week, keep flower and coming close to the most interesting weeks ;p

Second week of flowering

Flipped these girls to flower on day 26. Most of them have been looking good and growing pretty fast. I topped off the reservoir and added a little maxibloom. All 8 plants are drinking a total of about 2 gallons of water per day now. I kinda slacked on training them this week, but I will try to get them spread out some over the next week. I have been pulling a few fan leaves from the bottom so they can get good air circulation.

Buds seriously starting to fatten up, put out some serious trichomes and smell this week. Smell has intensified quite alot since last week soon as you open the tent the smell smacks you in the face. More trichomes by the day looking like a serious smoke. Upped the EC to 2 for this week to try and get a much out of these as possible. I won't be going any higher than a 2 EC so I don't fry my plants. Some orange hairs starting to appear on both the cereal milk and wedding cake.

HEY guys so another week has passed and the end is in sight . had to buy some alternitive mag and calcium supps as calmax isn't available at present here 😑 but been run a week now and no problems as of yet . 07/23/2026 Flowering week 6. ICR bud swelling begins. Smell is really awsome already. Looks like way much more dense Buds then the fluffy stuff last grow. SF looks like she needs a bit longer then ICR. Added some Hammerhead from Advanced Nutrients (0-4-12 NPK) for more potassium. Now excited for the final weeks.

She does show some signs of over watering. Yellowing leaves at this stage usually indicate wet feet. Will continue to mist spray a few times a day for the next week with no additional water added to soil.

Everything is looking good. Temperature and humidity under control. Tryed out a 24 hour light schedule for a week no difference so will be switching back to 18-6 to avoid having to water every day. Ghetto trellis 😂
