Week 2: Light Struggles, First Adjustments & the Patience Test Update: 14.03.25 Good morning, grow fam! Week 2 of my photoperiod journey is running – a mix of challenges and small wins. Here’s a look at the early days of my Blueberry and Durban Poison seedlings. Current Observations: Light Deficiency & Stretching Stems The first days post-germination were intense: The seedlings developed extremely long, thin stems (check the photos!), a clear sign of insufficient light. Since I’m intentionally avoiding extra lighting to save resources, I had to improvise: - Tray Rotation: I rotate the seedling tray multiple times a day to ensure even exposure to the weak March sunlight. - DIY Support: For the most stretched seedlings, a bent wire acts as a crutch to prevent them from collapsing. Interestingly, the tomato and cucumber plants in the same tray show no issues – their stems stay compact. Seems like veggies are better adapted to low-light conditions than cannabis! Nutrients & Alfa Boost: An Experiment Even though my Biobizz Lightmix should provide enough nutrients for the first weeks, I tested a sample of Alfa Boost (freebie from the grow shop) during watering. The product claims to boost roots and stress resistance – perfect for my light-stressed babies. So far, no negative reactions, but no explosive growth either. Slow Growth – No Cause for Concern The plants are growing just millimeters per day, but that’s okay. My focus is on building sturdy, resilient plants, not speed. Once days get longer and sunnier, growth should pick up. They’ll stay indoors until mid-May anyway – plenty of time to bulk up. Next Steps & Tweaks - Transplanting in 1–2 Weeks: Once the first true leaf pairs emerge, they’ll move to small pots with my Biobizz All-Mix blend. - First Topping Soon: Once the plants hit 4–5 nodes, I’ll top them to encourage bushier growth. Week 2 Takeaway: Patience is key! Even in suboptimal conditions, I trust Dutch Passion’s resilient genetics. Fingers crossed for greener progress next week. Here we go... week 2! Everything went pretty smoothly during germination and week 1. I'm starting to think about nutrients, as i do plan to start feeding, VERY lightly, sometime this coming week. I figure my soil should probably be okay for 3-4 weeks but i'm going to be feeding only 2 of the 3 plants starting in week 2. I'll start feeding the 3rd plant in week 3. I want to see if there's any difference or problems that arise. Day 8: - Temp: 74-80F - RH: 68-71% - no water, reduced exhaust fan speed to 10% at night due to colder outdoor temperature. Day 9: - Temp: 72F-79F - RH: 62-69% - lightly watered with de-chlorinated tap water Day 10: I've now desgnated the plants as "L-1", "L-2" and "L-3", based on their germination and seedling stage growth, with "L-1" being the most vigorous. - Temp: 72-76F - RH: 65-68% - Lightly watered "L-2" and "L-3" with a very weak nutrient mixture using Remo Nutrients' "Micro", "Grow", "Velokelp" and "MagNifiCal". Remo's feeding chart recommends 6ml/gal for week 2. I used .5ml/.5gal... 1/6th the recommended dose. - "L-1" was watered with just dechlorinated tap water. - Both adjusted to pH6.5 Day 11: - Temp: 69-76F - RH: 62-68% - No water - added sticky traps for fungus gnats, which have afflicted one of my girlfriend's orchids in our house. We've quarantined the orchid and will be giving our houseplants a few doses of BTI. Crossing my fingers that they don't cause me any issues in the tent! Day 12: - no signs of fungus gnats in tent - Temp: 69-77F - RH: 62-68% - No water Day 13: - no signs of fungus gnats in tent - turned humidifier off - ambient RH is about 60% - Temp: 69-77F - noticing leaf edges curling. Possibly due to high RH and/or over-watering. - Calibrated pH meter. Was off by +0.3 pH. - Watered lightly with pH adjusted tap water @ 6.4pH Day 14: - No water - Replaced the 24" Sunblaster T5HO fixture with a 24" Sunblaster LED, which now makes two of them. I plan on switching the 6400K T5 bulb with a 2700K bulb in the T5HO fixture. Once flowering starts, I'll pull out the two 6400K LED fixtures and put in the 2700K T5 fixtures (I still need to pick up one more T5 fixture so that i have two, which i'll be placing at either end of my 2x4 tent as supplemental lighting). - Distance to canopy (24w Sunblaster LED): 12" - Distance to canopy (HLG Elite 360): 24" - Elite 360 Light Intensity: 35%

I've moved lights towards them, so now the lights are 15 cm above them. I've moved a fan a little bit higher, so the wind is not too strong for them now. Hope she will be well now.

All Ladies got topped and transplanted into the endpot. First little shot of veg nutrients. Now one week of full recovery and growth. 2xLemon Orange and 2xBlueberry Pancakes and 1xradical juice in the AC Infinity 4x4 Box with EVO 6 light. 2xSerious Happiness and 2xradical juice in a Homebox with Sanlight EVO 4-80. All ladies performing well.

Welcome to week 6 with four tall ladies of Critical Orange Punch. They grew a bit and I removed some of the lower branches that did not get enough light and were too small and thin. The plants look healthy and seem to like their 1.5 EC nutrients mix. Day 37: I only measured ph and EC which were both ok (5.8 & 1.6) Day 38: I added 20l water to the tank and added some nutrients including Calcium and Mag. I hope to prevent them from getting these rust spots with the CalMag. EC is set to 1.7, ph 5.5 Day 39: Ph down to 5.7 (before it was 6.0), EC is at 1.8. Gonna get the EC down a bit when the tank is getting empty. And I removed some smaller branches again because I don't wanna get exclusive popcorn buds. And I measured the height again which is 50cm in average. I hope they stop growing soon and start producing flowers because the space above is getting smaller and smaller. And I cleaned the bio-pump completely. Day 40: I cut down some smaller branches to get more airflow between the leafes and because I don't want popcorn buds. And I stopped giving them water. The plan is to keep it stopped for 2-3 days to dry them out. I am wondering when the flowers will appear. Day 41: nothing Day 42: Some more stretching, the highest branch is 74cm in average they have approx 64cm. Added some Bloombastic to the tank and put the watering system on again. The pots were really light and empty but the plants looked pretty smooth. Also I added Gen200 again.

Hey guys! Another week and another update! At the end of this week I decided to finally start with the main lining and I won't lie... I was extremely nervous haha 😱 but I believe I did it well, without any major issue! I also decided to move the small 4th plant into a new home and it seems she will like the extra space! This week I also didn't feed my babies as I over watered them 😞 but they still showed some great progress! So I suppose it wasn't that bad! 😊 Soon I'll update the next week, which is also ready and has even more timelapses! Thanks everyone! :D

Hoping these do well all my seedlings went downhill fast Took 15 clones today at 6:30 am 🕰️ Best Time to Start Your Cloning & Defoliation Ritual 🌄 Ideal Window: Start between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM ET This time aligns with: • Pisces Moon energy still strong • Cooler temps and higher plant hydration (better clone success) • Rising sun = energetic ascension (matches your “ascending leaf” flow) • Moon still waning = perfect for rooting

Cut the plants down on the 24th of April, drying room levels are 72°F and around 60%RH, I'm currently on Day #14 of drying and the buds don't feel fully dry yet, the main tops feel crunchy and dry but the lower smaller buds are still quite moist and smell like chlorophyll, I think I may harvest the main tops so I don't overdry and leave the rest in the tent for another few days, either that or put the rest of the buds in a brown paper bag to finish drying. Finished dry trimming the plant ended up with 200 grams dry weight not including trim there's another 2 ounces of trim which if you want to include that would bring the total weight from this 250W LED to 256 grams. I'm super happy with the result of this especially for my first grow and from one autoflower, it can only get better from here on out. FYI Not sure why I can't edit the lights I used but the bloomgro 600W LED is PULLING AN ACTUAL 250W FROM THE WALL so the gram/watt should be .8g/W

Weekly Update: The Gassy One is blowing up! 📊 We are wrapping up an insane week, and this plant is absolute madness! 🚀🔥 Current Setup & Metrics (This Week): pH: 5.6 💧 EC: 2.2 (Shifting down to 1.9 EC starting today as we head past the end of week 5!) 📉 What's happening this week? The plant looks massive, the buds are swelling up like crazy, and the terps are next-level! She stinks to high heaven with a sharp, pungent diesel and haze aroma—hands down the best smell I've ever had on a plant, completely indescribable. ⛽️🌿 After a close inspection today, I’d give her roughly 3 weeks left (maximum) before harvest. I am beyond hyped to see how this turns out! ❄️✂️

📆 Week 11, 30 June - 6 July 2024 30 June - 6 July - Observed and let the plant grow. 📑 All is great with this little lady. She is entering her final week of flower, just before a flush. The smell is very strong, leaves are fading nicely, and buds have swollen. The pistils have turned brown and trichomes are almost at 10% amber. She is at her peek of ripeness. 🍶 nutrient solution not changed 🍽️ feeding schedule not updated 💧 Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 🔆 Light power at 50%, DLI 40 canopy coverage at 18hrs 😤 Using PYPABL, Air Pump, 400GPH That is it for this week.
