Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. Lineage: Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel x Sour Dubb Popularity: Extremely Popular Flavor/Aroma Profile: Chocolate, Earthy, Fuel Yield: 400 g/m2 Stress Tolerance: High resistance to disease Potency: 24% THC Flowering time: 58 - 63 days The Soil: Those who saw my Monstercropped Gelato #33 grow (you should see it if you didn't, I'm so proud of that grow), know about my super soil and organic nutrients/ permaculture tea combo that starred in my previous diary. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! Off to a slow start...think it was too cold initially to get them to pop, but problem solved.

This week the nutrition was reduced on the base and most of the additives. Only overdrive and bud factor X stayed at recommended dosage. The branches were readjusted to allow for light to reach lower nugs. Even though the pistils look brown and mostly curled in the tricomes are still clear... The run off last watering was extra high. A light flush with a week nute solution may be needed to correct this.

Hey guys, I'm in bud heaven right now. Everything is maturing, lots of dense crystal covered buds forming everywhere. The Cinderella 99 is the slowest to flower and is still stretching. Do si dos is in full flower. Beautiful tight resin covered nugs. Going to be a nice early finisher, finishing mid-late September. I am keeping an eye open for mold and mildew. Treating the plants weekly and closely monitoring. The slower flowering plants won't be ready untill mid October. Happy with the results and mother nature so far. Until next week farmers!

📋 Die Strawberry Banana von Fastbuds befindet sich jetzt in der dritten Woche der Vegetation, insgesamt stecken wir in der vierten Woche seit dem Keimen. Die Pflanze hat die anfängliche Startphase hinter sich gelassen und bildet jetzt ein stabiles Wurzelwerk aus. Das Blattwerk sieht gesund aus, die internodalen Abstände sind kurz und gedrungen, was auf ein gutes Lichtmanagement hindeutet. 📏 Die aktuelle Höhe liegt bei 12 cm. Die Umgebungswerte haben sich bei einer Durchschnittstemperatur von 27 Grad und einer Luftfeuchtigkeit von 58 Prozent eingependelt. Das ist ein solider Korridor für dieses Stadium, in dem die Pflanze ihre Stoffwechselprozesse langsam hochfährt. 💧 Die Wassertemperatur lag im Schnitt bei 21 Grad, was ideal ist, um den Wurzeln keinen Kälteschock zu verpassen und die Sauerstoffaufnahme im Substrat zu begünstigen. Die Pflanze zeigt sich durstig, aber nicht übermäßig, was zeigt, dass der aktuelle Gießrhythmus gut auf das Substrat und das Wurzelvolumen abgestimmt ist. 📸 Beobachtung für die kommende Zeit: Die Strawberry Banana beginnt jetzt zusehends mit der Seitentriebbildung. Wenn das Wachstum in diesem Tempo weitergeht, werde ich in der nächsten Woche über erstes sanftes Training nachdenken, um das Licht besser in die unteren Bereiche zu leiten. Die Vitalität ist absolut in Ordnung, keine Anzeichen von Mängeln oder Stress. Läuft nach Plan.

Last leaf trim. Hopefully there's enough light getting to the lower bud sites now. Upped the bloom feed a little and turned on the secondary fan. Started to get a couple wet leaves where they were touching. I set up another tent too. 😬😬

(11/18-11/24) ***All feeds with nutes use either a whole ratio or combination of "Veg Mix" and "Bloom Mix"concentrates DILUTED in water until a total ppm of add-in is reached using a (Total Dissolved Solids) TDS Meter measured in PPM (parts per million). The "Veg Mix" concentrate will eventually be added in smaller ratios and "Bloom Mix" concentrate will eventually replace the "Veg Mix" concentrate entirely. The ppm and ratios of each feed will be listed when I feed. Veg mix recipe is on week 2. Bloom Mix recipe will be noted in this top message of the week that I make it.*** Week 2 Notes & Observations: As mentioned last week, Plant 1 really liked the nute feed and gave excellent growth surpassing plant 2 in height. However plant 2 is actually ahead of plant one by number of nodes even if she's shorter overall. And since I topped this week, that became important. I topped plant 1 at the third node of 5 and plant 2 at the 4th node of 6. I also cleared all other leaves and growth tips leaving only 2 fan leaves and the growth tips under the topping nodes. Hope to see a full recovery in 5 to 7 days when, if all is still good, I plan to top again on each side to set my mainline base. VPD and PPFD: This week I will hold the humidity in the tent to about 70-75% and temps will be monitored for 75- 78F daytime and 68-70F overnight. Lights should adjusted to provide 350max, but will try to hold the 300 setting as long as I can this week. Meaning slight increase over last week other than growth. Feed & Monitor: Day 22 (last feed was day 16) Tested and Calibrated my ph pens. Starting weight from each pot was 18 lbs and 8 oz, P1 weighed 15lbs 13oz and P2 was 14lbs 15oz before feed. Each plant got 1 gallon of purified water with 150ppm Veg Mix (recipe on week 2 and makes 1 gallon at about 3600 to 4000ppm concentrate to dilute each feed, i.e. I only fed 150ppm above the purified water ppm this feed) The ph on this feed was balanced to 6.05ph to combat the higher runoff ph from the last feed. After feed P1 weighed 21lbs 2oz (21even after last feed) and P2 weighed 20lbs 14oz (21lbs 5oz after last feed). I got about 9 cups of runoff on P1 and 7 cups on P2. Runoff for P1 ph was 6.45 with 980ppm and P2 was 6.45 with 1130ppm. Top soil tested at: P1 (6.51,6.48,6.43,6.57) avg 6.497 and P2 (6.41,6.39,6.57,6.47) avg 6.46 - next feed will be 6.1ph, Im liking where the ph is so I dont see any issues, but will continue this course for a bit longer. My overall impressions of this strain from MSNL: Ive noticed that MSNL genetics tend to switch to flower earlier than all the ther autos i've grown. The initial growth on the plant starts out small headed into flowering but then explodes during flowering. Because of this I start my feed at week 3 and I used the full NFTG advanced feed but only at 1/2 the recommended amounts of the early veg schedule they made. This works out well with these plants and by week 5 they can handle the full Nute schedule. A proper flush was needed at-least twice a week during the flowering period. It is a lot of work to maintain PH and soil PPM but its essential with the NFTG and if you do it right you WILL get rewarded with Danky goodness. Last time around I grew three plants and tried 3 different training techniques to see which method worked better for this strain. I learned that LST with minimal defoliation is the best route and I stuck with what I knew and im pretty sure it worked out great! I got nice uniform growth growth and 4 truly massive main bud stalks with very dense growth even below the canopy. I virtually had no popcorn nugs, I think I had one! I also contribute that to my NFTG nutrients and Spider Farmer sf2000 202 W qb, that thing kicked some serious ass during flowering, although it is relatively strong and some of my other autos seemed to be affected by the intensity but this Purple Hulk was very heat resistant through it all. Overall I would definitely recommend using LST to some extent with these genetics because of the small initial growth you will get at first. Start the nutes sooner than later. maybe week 3, but at half the strength. Feeding the soil would be a good idea right from the get go . Mammoth P is a cool microbe that targets phosphorus directly and recharge will slam pack your substrate with beneficial microbes and ive noticed a very clear difference after incorporating these into my NFTG feed. Another thing I did that seemed to help was weekly epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) sprays on top of my bloom khaos foliar sprays. I didn't deal with any deficiencies at all this time around following this feeding regiment 👌 I do not have taste/aroma info for this specific plant just yet but I will update this frequently with new information when I get it including dry weight, taste, and aroma, more photos, and overall impressions of its medicine. so please stay tuned!! Dubes~ *UPDATES* March 3- I removed the PHULK from 32 hours of darkness and chopped branches. 19.5 oz wet on the scale!! Im attempting hang drying for the first time because of my dry conditions.

used fishing lines to help Marshmallow OG holding its Buds because they get so heavy. temps variate on daytime between 21 -24 °C and RH of 45 - 55% nighttime its 18 - 19 °C and RH of 41 - 50% the plants are colloring purple and the terps are getting more intense by each day. Nutter Budder had startet growing 2 Nanas in 2 of its Buds. I think the Nutter Budder was more like a 9 weeker when the other 2 strains are more like 10 weeker

The buds are getting bigger, two plants have started fading to yellow, while the one in the middle is severely overfed, which I did not realize at the time. Still quite happy with how they looked and that the canopy was quite even without much additional training besides the initial topping. I did bend the center plant's (the only one which wasn't topped) main branch to the side however.

28-9-2019 Out of the 3 different strains I am growing right now.This purple Kush is doing absolutely marvelous. No sign of deficiencies at all. The main stock is so thick and fat I am totally surprised( larger than a thumb) leaves are lush green and no tip burns anywhere. As soon as my new 940 watt Conversion bulb gets here (this week) It's flower time baby.😎

7/6 Plants looked great thos morning. I WATERED A GALLON to the 50 and split one between the two tens. Top of the bags are still moist amd they still have some heft. I'm hoping this will at least carry me 48hrs. These are BIG plants and the wind goes right through those bags and dries them out. I'd rather have that though than worry about overwatering. I noticed some minor deficiencies on a couple plants so it's time to start the nutes. Calcium I'd guess. Just a beginning stage but it's time. Next feeding they'll get some food too. I'll still monitor during the day to make sure they ront dry out. It's amazing how fast they come back after they dry out but it stresses them.
