Merry Christmas growmies 🎄 I hope you are enjoying the holidays with friends, family and Cannabis ✨😁 The Purple Haze is entering the final stage of bloom. For me this is a great time as the plants are finally at their prime. As you can see in the pictures the buds have grown big and fat. The resin is also covering most of the sugar leafs and even though it's not snowing outside, thing sure look frosty in the GTools 😅 I inspected the trichromes today and most are cloudy, no amber just yet. Going from the strain description this could be the final week before harvest. It would be cool to close off this year with a Purple Haze harvest but as always I let the plant decide when she's ready to be harvested. The pistils are still mostly white, but my main indicator are the trichromes. The two plants in the back are both a bit bigger (and have fatter buds) than the plant in the front. So maybe this one will have to grow for a week longer to reach her full potential. The plan for this week will be just giving just water and no nutrients, lower the temperature and see if I can nudge the ladies in coloring the leafs to a nice purple hue. If they don't it's perfectly ok, I'm happy with how healthy and frosty they look anyway. Let's see what this week will bring us! I just harvested my first flush of shrooms today. These are the Hawaïan Cubensis from the Zamnesia webshop. It was a easy strain to grow and was happy with the several watering she needed! I was feeding her every couple of days and she rewarded me with some immense dense buds! I have one more of this strain that might be heavier! I just got done with my 2nd plant and she was a big one! Got 792grams or 27 Ozas Wet weight! My best so far with a 5 plant limit this is the weight of only 2 of the 5 I grew..

A friend had a chance to take some photos for me, also continued with some defoliation as well. Nutrients are doing well, hopefully buds really take off this week.

This week made a few oopsies . I gave un-ph’d water to one of the plants “moving to fast” . Started defoliation during this week to attempt to redirect plant energy into establishing a full canopy since flowering has initiated. Whilst defoliating I broke a branch that had to be taped to save it. Humidity went out of whack when I stored 4 prepped 5 gal pots for transplant in the tent sooo I’ve got to buy a dehumidifier bc at one point all my plants fell out in a fit . STILL haven’t filled these pots out, & I’m kinda sure/unsure it’s time to re-amend the soil for flowering. I’m conflicting on waiting until beginning/middle of week 7 so I can flush week 11 & 12 . I think that covers it pretty well Week 5 in the 📚 📕 📖.

As you can see on the pics, the leaves suffered some damage. I think it was damaged by a bit too much light for a bit too long. My approach when I grow it next time would be more Calmag (just a try) so the N is under control, and again strong lights. 😎 For now, the plant seems happy! 💚 DAY 57 Watered with nutes. 💧I always do 2L and stop when I see runoff. Tried to battle the millions of fungus gnats with nematodes.. 🐛 After watering, added the nematodes to the moist soil and covered the pot with a black plastic bag, so the bugs don't get sunburned. 😎 DAY 60 Keeping the soil moist now. 🐛 Watered with nutes again. 💧 I must say this plant stinks alot. It smells like dirty clothes which were in a closed box for weeks. Sweat, dankness, sweetness as well, but remember cherries differently. But I think that cherry coke has also kind of a dulled aroma, just like if noone would tell you what it is, you wouldn't know.. She's almost ready for harvest. Right now, she will be on plain water for six days. Next, I'll give her one final big flush, let the coco dry out, and then it’s chop time. This strain is looking very dense and is covered in a nice amount of trichomes. Most of them are cloudy now, with a few amber ones starting to appear.

Week 8, week 3 of flower, stretch slowed, let the girl get thick now (fingers crossed), tricome production is good

The beginning of the week started badly. Spots on the lower leaves! I received great feedback from this website right away then a couple of days later from my grow shop. Question was, was it nute burn or under feeding. Either way, a lot of water was the answer. I believe it was under watering! Once the girls recovered, I continued with more frequent, higher volumes of watering with Kalong Grow added at half dosage. Throughout the week, I continued to tie the plants down in the 3, 6, 9 & 12 o'clock positions. Changing the position every second day. Additionally, I moved the girls position within the cupboard in a clockwise rotation every day. (Couldn't hurt so why not) The fat bananas are ranging in height from 13-19cms and by Wednesday had obvious flower sites. The northern light has no flower sites and is only 11cms tall. It's also extremely dense with even, consistent foliage. I stopped LST as it seemed ineffective/impractical. By the end of the week the 'spot' issue was completely resolved. On 27th I used a PH testing kit on the bottled water I had been using. Turns out it's overly alkaline. The tap water was 6.2 so I switched to tap water. I realise the chlorine etc is not good and have ordered a water filter to remove chlorine, lead, etc, etc. I feel flowering is going to happen within 10 days or so...

Week 8 really can see the vegetation stage in action. Get that growth spurt right before they get the light turned to 12 and 12:00, make for bigger buds. Red Jack Auto, alien gas XXL are already 6 weeks into budding. Gorilla z just started two weeks ago. Can't wait to see the others.

Managed to pull exactly 4oz off my first ever grow! Really impressed with the look of the buds and the density of them, along with the resin production is insane! Only negative feedback I can give so far is that it smells nothing like any Mimosa I've come across and it smells extremely strong like an intense citrusy cleaning product! It's really off-putting at this moment in time especially when I burp the jars, the smell is very intense! I read a few threads mentioning that sometimes this is normal and the cure mellows it out eventually. I also read that Clementine has a very intense cleaning product exhale to it and aroma, which is leading me to think that this pheno is leaning more towards the Clementine more than the Purple Punch and that will really make me sad, cause the reason I love Mimosa is cause of the strong berries flavor and aroma! Oh well I managed to pull 3 seeds out while doing a close trim so that's a bonus! Was a goal I was aiming for after hearing about a method from a friend and it paid off perfect cause those were the only 3 seeds in the whole crop and they look exactly identical to the one I germinated for this grow and the rest of the others in the pack! Lets hope they all turn out to be females!🤞 Well it's been a hell of an experience and I'll definitely be back with another run very soon!
