These last 2 weeks the buds have started to fatten. Some have started a foxtail trait. Not sure if it's genetics or my light. The heads on the trichomes are starting to swell. It smells more like candy than weed. I put up a couple poles to keep the tent from sucking into the plants due to the negative pressure from the fan.

The tops on these girls are getting so heavy and the smell is crazy lemony and piney so strong it smells like your smoking a joint right at the window all the time even with my carbon filter. I'll be breeding with this lemon skunk strain in my next grow. Stay tuned for new genetics and making my own genetics going to be running chemo,blueberry,m39gdp,gg4 and will be crossing with the lemon skunk pollen fingers crossed 馃馃檹

Big week! I got my new EarthBoxes and a bunch of goodies. I picked up the Probiotic Farmer's Alliance kit from BuildASoil, so I also got some EM-1, Kashi Blend, dolomite lime and Malibu compost. Alongside that I picked up Colorado Worm Compost (vermicompost), Gnarley Barley (malted barley, corn and hemp) and Craft Blend (aprox 3-5-2 organic mix). Unfortunately there was a bag of soil missing, so I ended up using my own mix though I am somewhat scared of it being too clay-heavy for the SIP. I inoculated with EM-1 and began fermenting a batch of activated EM-1 to make the bottle last longer. It looks about a week from LST, after that I hope to set up a two-tier SCROG setup and begin growing the bushes. I will begin spraying AEM-1/EM-FPE/EM-5 alternatively once a week for IPM, I will try to avoid using neem this round (unless I find this approach lacking). I also brewed a batch of EM-FPE with aloe that smells incredible, I can't wait to give it a go.

August 23: Just finishing up about 36 hours of darkness, then I'm going to wash the buds, then hang them. Harvesting a bit early due to time constraints but it looks good. The smell is very dank, not a tropical skittles smell, much more like wood glue as I've seen mentioned in other reviews, although I'm starting to occasionally catch a sweeter tropical scent as well. I wanted to leave it a little longer. There were still a lot of white hairs when I started the dark period, but a lot of them seem to have developed into swollen calyxes so I'm pretty happy. I was a little worried they were making seed pods after last time, but I broke one open and all that was inside was red hairs. I'm going to keep an eye on the RH while they're drying and get them into jars and try to wait as long as possible before I start sampling. I can tell this is one of those batches that's going to get better and better if left alone for a couple months. Just did the wash, did 1.25 cups of 34% food grade H202 and a squeezed lemon in a 5 gal bucket. Another bucket of just water to rinse. Then I had a fan on it while hanging in the sunlight from a skylight in the bathroom for 30 min, then put the fan further back and on oscillate, then turned it down an hour later. Left it in there for a few hours, then hung it in the grow tent with everything removed except an oscillating fan, pointed away from the buds. I have the whole plant hanging in the middle of the tent and the tent is holding at 60% rh. Next run I'm going to do 2 buckets and only top once. I might leave them a bit longer in veg too to maximize the height in my grow space, and I'll get a proper 500w bulb instead of continuing to run 1000w bulbs at 50% to lower the heat a bit. The weather will be cooler and I'll only run one air stone in each bucket which should help with res temp. I'll probably foil-wrap the buckets again as well. I should be able to get another run done by the end of the year. I have a White Widow fem seed I've been waiting to use but I'm not sure what else I want to grow yet. Maybe Granddaddy Purp. I'll take some micro pics of the trichomes this week and start curing, and I'll post a proper review in a couple weeks. Happy growing everyone! August 24: I took it out of the tent to inspect. No mold or mildew. The middle of some buds are still pretty wet. I'll keep an eye on it. Wet weight on the stem is 158 grams/ 5.5oz. I harvested a couple branches last week and hung them up. I just ground up one of the buds, left it overnight and vaped some today. There was a bit of Chemdawg Tangerine in the grinder already but overall I got a lot of thick vapour, instant effects, and a really great tropical taste. I busted out the microscope camera and I realized I had a couple buds that fell off before I washed the plant in the H202, and a couple buds that came off in the washing process. It doesn't look like washing the buds took off any of the trichomes. I do seem to find less debris in the buds, not that there was much there before. The trichs look great. Just a light toasting of amber. The washed bud actually seems more dry than the unwashed bud. August 25: there's a real chlorophyll smell coming from the drying room today, it was much terpier yesterday. Leaves are getting crunchy, stems are still fully bendy. I ended up taking it down in the evening. The drying room rh dropped from 60% to 55% and the buds were starting to look too dry based on my last grow. I put it all in a paper bag for the night and I'll put it in jars tomorrow morning. Broken down most of the way it came out to 48-49 grams. From the bud structure, I definitely feel like it would have benefitted from more grow time if I didn't have to travel. More to come. August 26 - the edges of the buds are getting really crispy and the buds are getting tighter. I checked the paper bag earlier and it was 65-70%. I got the impression it was time to put it into jars. I'll keep the lids off for a bit.

The flowers continue to grow, there is a good amount of resin and a minty smell. The first amber trichomes are starting to appear.馃暫

As always it's just a pleasure to grow this sativa dominant strain which definitely reminds me of a great indica with her extremely fruity and tropical sweet terpenes, very happy to have her in my garden and to be able to smoke such a high quality strain once again, hope you guys have enjoyed as much as me!

Last week I went away for a while and I had to leave my babies alone. Temperatures dropped so also maturation slowed down. When I arrived home this is what I found! She got darker and colas got even bigger and more sticky. She smells like pine but the odor is not very strong. It is also a little bit cheesy and mouthwatering. My dog was really attracted and tried to eat some. She is amazing! Tomorrow I will upload some better photos I took with my reflex.

Critical x Animal Cookies is starting to stack now. She is growing under the Hortibloom Solux 350. She was stunned at seedling. I had the nutrition too strong. You can really see how much of a difference it made in the video. Everything is looking good at the moment. Beside I need to install new air stones. Thank you Rippper Seeds, and Hortibloom. 馃馃徎馃馃徎馃尡馃尡馃尡 Thank you grow diaries community for the 馃憞likes馃憞, follows, comments, and subscriptions on my YouTube channel馃憞. 鉂勶笍馃尡馃嵒 Happy Growing 馃尡馃尡馃尡 https://youtube.com/channel/UCAhN7yRzWLpcaRHhMIQ7X4g

Oct 22 - start of week 4 and she鈥檚 strong and vigorously growing. Very god thing and think we may be topping a little early - we鈥檒l see how it goes. Nute sched. is in overdrive - every feed right now and she seems to be loving it. Stay tuned for topping #1 and thanks for stopping by馃憤馃憡, Oct 24 update - this thing is a beast. We鈥檙e at 5th node now but she鈥檚 lookn real strong and the stem is really thickening up. I could probably top er now and clean er up but I鈥檓 gonna give it one more day to stagger out with her next feeding. Per photos her 3rd node growth and side shutes are coming in nice so should have a solid base For the manifold. She鈥檚 been worked hard with the feedigs recently so got a plain ph鈥檇 rinse today to wash out any lingering mineral buildup. No big deal, no issues, just preventative. STAY TUNED, first topping come鈥檔 up!馃憤 Oct 26 update - manifold day! First topping and 6th node just poken out. No worries on this plant, she鈥檒l recover just fine from the trim and top.馃槑馃. Started 3 clones from the top and a couple shoots. Doubt they鈥檒l take but just wana see If i can clone this early - always down to experiment馃槈. THANKS for stoppn by y鈥檃ll!馃憡 Oct 28 update - she really hasn鈥檛 slowed down much post-top & trim. Super healthy and recovering very well. 馃憤 Larry, Curly and Moe r doing their thing - not dead yet anyway馃槑馃憣馃槈 Background After the batshit nonsense with this years outdoor grows getting jacked, I need some kush and I need it fast! This girls an indoor grow in the cabinet and she'll be manifolded and defo'd for 8-10 fat ass colas. They鈥檒l spend a first week or so under a cfl assembly while the last harvest dries out in the cabinet. This grow is going to be nute sched. heavy and will hopefully test the limits of my smaller grow space (2sq/ft). Ive had my eye on a critical & kush cross for awhile and really looking forward to seeing this one grow out. Thanks for take'n a peek, stayed tuned, and happy grow'n folks! 馃憡

Diesel: I鈥檓 very happy with the growth! The topping + LST is showing its results, flowering is exploding, and the buds are developing in a healthy way, already giving me great satisfaction. Compared to the other two, it almost seems about one week ahead. The plant has a large and very healthy leaf mass, but for now I鈥檓 being cautious with defoliation because I don鈥檛 want to stress the plant too much. Wedding Cake: Even though it germinated together with the Diesel, flowering is much further behind. However, just like with the Diesel, the topping + LST is showing good flowering results. As with the Diesel, the leaf mass is very dense, although in the last few days some leaves have shown signs of stress. I need to understand what caused it. For now, I鈥檝e only removed the unhealthy leaves, much more than on the Diesel, and I鈥檓 worried this might be why flowering is further behind compared to the other plant. Sunset Sherbet: Even though it germinated one week later, in terms of growth stage it has now caught up with the Wedding Cake, including the flowering phase. Here you can notice that the FIMing caused some issues; in fact, there are far fewer bud sites compared to the other two plants, and it developed more vertically. However, this also resulted in less foliage, making it much easier to manage compared to the others. Unfortunately, during LST, one central branch was damaged and had to be removed. As with the Wedding Cake, some strange spots have also appeared on the leaves, although they are less widespread. Let鈥檚 see how it goes! For now, everything seems to be giving off great vibes for a good harvest!!

--------------------------- The plant has had a growth spurt in height. The pH value is now constant at 5.5 and I have added more fertilizer. I think the EC value is a little too high at 2.3, but I'm not doing anything about that. The other plants in the tower are thriving.

Day 129 since seed touched soil. Again troubles .... Came to check them and found tent dark. Normally theirs day was in the night, now one day we again had no electricity and everything moved 8 hours, so day is day now .... Humidity spikes as hell. I dont want to make wounds, so no defoliation ... just too big of a risk to damage or bring infection in .... Ground level 99% rh, canopy level - 85, lights level - 80 .... never grew in such hight, i did in 65-70 without problems, but this goes overboard ... Drinking slowed down, will reduce volume by 20% next watering. One more feed left. Keeping sticky pads as prevention and it helped to catch 50 or so bugs and maybe prevent infestation. Gnats mostly .... 10 days till chop !!! Hope no bud rot !!! Happy Growing !!!
