march 2: start of week 5 room temp is now 25celcius and plants no longer curl. veg got slowed down a lot finally they got healthy now march 7: changed water to lucas formula (0-8-16) also added 1ml/L H2o2 after 3 days again. to stop algae forming around the hoses and the rubber rings around the pipes.

Day 56 flower Well, to be totally honest I’m not seeing a crazy amount of change. I am smelling and feeling a difference tho. I’ve decreased watering to allow for a bit of dry back. The trichomes are super sticky and release a pungent ripe lemon and earthy aroma. The buds are smaller, but hard hard right from the outside, like golf balls and marbles. They are quite similar to my Durban buds. Gonna have to watch the humidity. I started raising the Vipar spectra XS2000 just a bit each day as I’m noticing more leaf cupping. So just an attempt to decrease stress in this later phase. The light is still penetrating through the canopy well. I think this will be my last week of feeding then I’ll flush for 2 weeks get 3-4 good flushed and watch them fade. I’ve never grown this strain so I’m just along for the ride. The leaves are still very green other than the tips 🤦‍♂️🏻So I’m thinking there’s still a lot of available nutes in the leaves. Time will tell. Happy Growing 🌱

Got back from 2 weeks holiday and immediately lollipopped and defoliated all 4 plants heavly. Will wait a few days for them to recover from the battering I gave them before flipping to 12/12. This plant is at the back of the 4 in the timelapse.

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush 7 Weeks of Flowering Completed 29th march 2020 Here we are at the beginning of the eighth week of Flowering for my Barneys Farm Cookies kush Girls. 😀 They are both looking good Phenotype 1 which is the Indica dominant plant has a higher leaf to calyx ratio than her sister the Sativa dominant phenotype number 2 they both have distinct characteristics to each other such as pheno1 has a sweet smell and more stickiness whilst pheno2 has more of an Earthy smell and is clearly the better looking of the two. Both plants have not had anything for the past 3 days due to the fact that it's been very wet here & the relative humidity is almost at 90% at some times during each day. They don't seem to mind not having been fed or watered which is a bonus as adding more moisture to the environment is not Ideal. So far Zero signs of budrot unlike the other strains I have close to maturity which have all shown a little botrytis forming on some buds. This has given me some hope of being able to let both girls grow right thru until optimum maturity, whereas the Jack herer , Red diesel and girl scout cookies will all end up being harvested earlier than i would have preferred. Hi growmies, Somehow I must have missed to update this diary last, my apologies for that…. As the Afghan was dried, she could finally move into her forever home. I have made some modifications to the box, compared to the last run. The biggest change is of course that it’s housing now a 20l DWC system, build from two euro containers. I have further installed a little Computer fan below the canopy and will probably install another one above the canopy. Last but not least, I installed a ScrOG, build from an old Coca-Cola fridge, that someone disgarded somewhere. Lates see how it will go this time.

Just chopped it down – hanging to dry. I'll et back with more info after the dry! Some harvest stats: Afghan #1: - Harvest weight = 181g - Cola = 104g - Wet-trimmed weight = 166g Afghan #2: - Harvest weight: 145g - Cola = 44g - Wet-trimmed weight = 128g

I had a lot of fun with this strain and it was grown against 400 growers so let me say PHENO hunting is a true thing. Overall the Bud was a nice dense structure and the smoke on it was smooth and the high nice and even.

Week 12 The buds are slowly fattening up. Dutch Passion issued a warning on their website that certain strains like this one can cause them to produce male flowers when exposed to too much stress. So I only do careful rounds of minimum defoliation in order to hopefully prevent this from happening.

crazy week found drain gnats which explains the green hue of some of my plants the larve are attacking the roots raising the p.h. and the diffecencies are showing in the leaves being lighter and or brown dots on the leaves. using mosquito dunks and spraying neem oil washing the roots to help these ladies out. also im doing things different with the soil vs dwc, i havent done much if any defoliating with potted plants just letting them grow only mainlined once and since in flower very light if any defoliating. any questions comments information feel free to ask or inform im open to critque

Spectrum Tuning: The Science of Light Light plays a major role in shaping the maturation process, and this week, we’ve dialed in the spectrum for optimal results. Lighting Power: • Lower layer at 800 PPFD and the upper layer shining bright at 1500 PPFD. The canopy coverage is perfect for even development throughout the garden.
