Week 2 Veg Update: Thriving and Surviving! Hey there, fellow plant pals! It's time for another juicy update on my Anesia phenohunt adventure. Buckle up, 'cause things are getting seriously green around here! First things first – let's talk survivors. Remember our shy friend, Red Banana Pudding #2? Well, against all odds, it's the last one standing, and let me tell you, it's stealing the show! With its tenacity and charm, it's quickly becoming the MVP of this green extravaganza. But hey, let's not forget about the rest of the gang. Future#1, Zoomiez, and Apricot Oreo are all flexing their leafy muscles and reaching for the sky. Each one is a unique masterpiece, showcasing its own personality and potential. It's like having a botanical art gallery right in my grow room! Now, let's talk stats 'cause we love a good data dive. TDS is sitting pretty at 420, temps are a cozy 21 degrees, and pH is a sweet spot at 5.9. It's like Goldilocks and the Three Bears – everything's just right for optimal growth. Feeding time is where the magic happens, and I'm sticking with my trusty Aptus Holland veg mix. This stuff is like plant fuel on steroids, giving my babies the nutrients they need to thrive and shine. From root to leaf, it's a symphony of growth and vitality. Now, let's spread some love and gratitude. Huge shoutout to Anesia Seeds for crafting these genetic wonders. You guys are the wizards behind the curtain, and I'm just grateful to be along for the ride. Big thanks to Grow Diaries for being the stage where this green drama unfolds. To the community, your support and camaraderie keep the vibes high and the spirits lifted. You're the heart and soul of this journey. And let's not forget my sponsors – Aptus Holland and Future Of Grow LED. You guys are the backbone of this operation, providing the tools and nutrients for success. Here's to a partnership that's blooming brighter every day! That's a wrap for Week 2, folks! Stay tuned for more green goodness, and until next time, keep on growing! 🌱 Week 7 From Seed | 12/12 From Germination Transition Phase — Early Flower (Week 1) 📌 Quick Context (For New Readers) These plants have been grown 12/12 from seed from day one. Because of this light schedule, development timelines do not match traditional veg/flower calendars. Although we are technically at Week 7 from seed, the plants are now entering what we consider Early Flower (Week 1). Pre-flower signs are present but still subtle, which is completely normal for this method, especially with training involved. Think of this as: Week 7 from seed ≈ Week 5 in overall physiological development ⸻ 🌿 Overall Plant Status All plants are healthy, vigorous, and responding extremely well to training. • Strong lateral growth • Very bushy structure • Tight internodes • No major deficiencies or stress responses The genetics are clearly expressing well under this method and environment. ⸻ 🧠 Training Update & Learning Moment This week involved low-stress training using plastic clamps and this was my first time. • Most plants responded beautifully • However, one branch was left clamped slightly too long, resulting in a partial break Recovery Action • White tape was applied immediately • The branch is stable • Early pre-flower signs are still visible on that plant 👉 Based on experience and current visuals, full recovery is expected. For comparison: • Another plant is trained using metal clamps, shown in the last photo • This plant is more delayed and not yet showing flower signs This contrast clearly shows how training intensity and timing can influence flowering onset under 12/12 from seed. ⸻ 🌡️ Room Conditions Despite very cold temperatures outside, the room has been stabilized well: • Temperature: 27.5°C • Relative Humidity: 65.4% • CO₂: ~909 ppm Humidity is slightly higher than ideal for flower, but plants are thriving and showing no negative responses. ⸻ 💧 Root Zone & Nutrition Adjustments were made this week to prepare the plants for flowering demand. • EC: Increased to 2.4 • Water Temperature: ~21°C (70°F) • pH: Raised to 6.5 🔬 Why the pH Change? This was a deliberate, science-based decision, not guesswork. As plants transition into flower, a slightly higher pH: • Improves availability of Calcium, Magnesium, and Phosphorus • Supports early flower initiation • Helps the plant shift metabolic focus From here: • pH will be cycled between 6.0 → 6.5 • Always kept above 6.0 • Adjusted based on plant feedback Until now, pH ranged around 5.8–6.0, which favored vegetative uptake. This marks the nutritional transition into flower physiology. ⸻ 💡 Lighting Update • PPFD Range: ~600–800 µmol/m²/s • Taller plants receive closer to 800–850 • Smaller plants around 600–700 • Top Lights: 100% • Under-Canopy Lighting: ~40–45% and increasing gradually The goal is to let plants adapt to photons coming from all directions, promoting: • Stronger lower growth • Better canopy balance • Reduced larf later in flower ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect Next Next 1–2 weeks: • Clear flower initiation on most plants • Stretch phase beginning • Increased nutrient demand • Continued canopy management (tucking & bending only) What NOT to expect yet: • No heavy defoliation • No aggressive stress training • No rushing the transition The harder training plant will be given more time — no forcing. ⸻ 🙏 Final Words Thanks to everyone following along — newcomers, supporters, critics, and sponsors alike. This run is about learning, transparency, and showing what 12/12 from seed really looks like when done patiently and intentionally. More updates soon 🌱 As always — observations welcome. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 📸 P.S. – The Eye Behind the Lens All photos in this diary (for now — except for the ones showing the camera, which I took with an iPhone) are taken with a Sony A6700 paired with a Sony full-frame macro lens and a few more. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. The ladies are still doing great and stacking very nicely! The leaves do look very very dark green with slight tip burns, so I doses down the nutrients slightly from 1100+ to 950 ppm! The grow light makes the leaves look more light green than they actually are (check the night shots) both pheno’s smell like a nice and strong gelato (vanilla/gas) 💪🏻

First off big shout-out and thank you too Heather @ 2Fast 4Buds with this little beauty, the other fast bud seeds I have done in previous diaries, did not disappoint, so only right we keep a continued space in the grow for them 🤜🤛💚 So this is the new Lemon Cherry Runtz 🍋 🍒 🍬 From 2fast4buds, and boy I am excited to run this one. The lineage ; Lemon Cherry Gelato x Runtz x Lemonpaya Description; After years of ongoing experimenting with breeding, we decided to add our Lemonpaya to the cross of Lemon Cherry Gelato and Runtz. The result was a plant with exceptional characteristics that we really wanted to preserve and stabilize: exceptional vigor, stress resistance, and beautiful structure. This is how Lemon Cherry Runtz was born Let's get into it 🚀 🌱 💚 I have pre mixed all the canna terra pro plus 5L, with RootMax 4g in a large tub. Added Perlite and mixed again. I have loosely filled 1L pots ready. With my finger made a hole in the centre big enough for the root riot plug, (once the seed is germinated) Sprinkled in Dynamyco for plug hole. Day 1: 27/09 Saturday I have made a 2L dechlorinated tap water mix which contains 1ml of Piranha and 1ml of Voodoo Juice. (This will be used all week) 100ml into a cup and allow the seed to soak for 24-36 hrs. And left inside the boiler cupboard , dark and warm. I'll check tomorrow ✅ (With 300ml I have watered in the plastic pots to ensure there not too wet in a few days for my seed. Day 2: 28/09 Sunday The seed has sank after just 12 hrs, so after 16 hrs, I poured it all into a paper towel. Squeezed excess water from the paper towel. Placed into a zip-loc bag for 24-36hrs, until the tap root emerges. I have now pre soaked the root-riot plugs (with 150ml of previous water mix) and squeezed gently any excess water - these are now placed in the 1L plastic pots, awaiting the newly germinated seed. Day 4 30/09 worried the seeds are too moist as tap roots have popped but curling back. I have popped them into the rootriot cubes now and inserted that into my 1L tub with Dynomyco in the hole. Sprayed -with the water mix from start of week ph6.41, the domes (jugs) and placed under 24hr light CFL 125w for the rest of germination week and possibly week 1 veg we'll see. Day 5 01/10 Wednesday First spray for soil and seed. Using the dechlorinated tap water and piranha and voodoo from the mix at start of week. pH 6.41. Also added heat mat under the tents water proof layer to ensure the seedling are kept warm. Day 6 02/10 Thursday Last use of this spray now , Final spray in domes, noticed all 3 seed casing have now fell. Runtz punch still soil level so hoping the Cyclodons can push up past the moisture level 🌱💚 Day 7 03/10 Friday Dechlorinated tap water 1L mix with 2ml voodoo and 2 ml piranha. 300ml each. PH 6.36 End of week. Proud too say she has successfully passed germination week and now onto her veg journey that I'm aiming for 10-12week veg for.

It has been raining and raining since whatever... 2 weeks....checked the trichomes nice milky white. Based on the fact the the weather won't be better and also the temperature is lower day by the now usually 6 Celsius degrees in the evening and 13-16 during the day or less, I decided to harvest next week. I was thinking to let her out 3 more weeks just to have more amber trichomes but she is OK, ready but this weather is not ... She is sativa dominant as I saw in the breeder's description so totally cool. So she ain't gonna be maturing that much she reached the point.... especially because no sun.... ... but compare to that she has som nice colas so I am excited let's see soo guys. Thanks all of you checking this progress out. Beautiful lady, large LST made her really nice literally she looks like more plant but yes ONLY ONE PLANT IN THE PICTURE AND THE GARDEN :) Have a lovely day :)

Day 15 of flower! Kinda goofed this week i gave the babies week two nutes after the last post wich was like day 10 and i noticed a little bit of nitrogen over dose. I think the Powersi is also helping nutrients absorption! So i actually did this week a little different then i planned just cut the bio bloom in half because i didnt realize the powersi npk ratio inceases p and k Havent seen anymore aphids might do another couple sprays to be safe. Grow safe allows full spray through flower

Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of flowering. I got my 2 long and narrow paper bags out. The ones the french bread are in at the store. The ones with the long plastic window in them. I went to the male plant, that I have in a different greenhouse, and got some of the open flowers and pollen inside the paper bags. This is a good male. It has lots of flowers, not many leaves, is not too tall, and is good smelling with the "rub the stem and smell your fingers" test. And the smell stays on my fingers for a few minutes, not disappearing in a few seconds. Careful not to dump out the pollen I slid the bag over the buds I pick out. I pinched the bag around the branch and held it with a clothes peg. I gently shoock the bag to get the pollen to each flower pistil. When I closed up for the night I shoock up the bag again. I gently took the bags off the next morning, careful not to spray pollen all over the place, then went a got some more pollen for the next plants. and repeated for all 6 plants. Got some yellowing of some of the older leaves. This is sort of self pruning to me, but I will add some extra nitrogen next time to slow the yellowing. I've seen a few fungus gnats around, but nothing to worry about. Ok. The Adventure Goes On. Be Great. Chuck

Straight forward week. Light, water, CO2 then repeat. Julie's color looks fine and she has a nice stalk with some thick sub branches. Hopefully i will get a good canopy out of her since the tie down stakes I was using to pin her down couldn't hold her down anymore. I traded out the 1200W COB LED for a smaller 1000W COB LED in order to bring the temp down. Air is about 5 degrees cooler if i keep the door to the batcave open.
