You can really see how the lights shine in comparison to my older ones. The brightness of the leds is next level and I can use their V1 spectrum from seed to harvest. Its a great balance of red and blue in a full spectrum light. The medic grow mini sun 2 is a all purpose light that I can see myself getting lots of use out of in the future. Plus they fit in my tent just as snug as my last ones and that's a big thing for me, I don't like dim corners. I am using the lights at 80% dim level. this will be raised to 100% when they enter flower :D First time useing lights I can dim. they also have an onboard timer attached to them, I will be playing aorund with this to see if its something I want to use in the coming weeks, I all ready have all the external timers so I can see how this is a useful tool for anyone starting off without them. On top of all this I also transplanted my plants into their final pots. they went from a .7-.8L to a 2gal or 7.5L, all the root balls on the plants where perfect, nice white roots, maybe a bit compacted for the size and might explain why I am having some issues with them but healthy none the less. I think they will not start to grow a bit better and I will see less issues moving forward. I still have yet to get a new PH pen but I am blindly guessing the PH by adding 2 drops of phosphoric acid ph down per 1gal of feed solution. it seems to be working out just fine. Before diving into the details, let’s start with a note on my flowering timeline. While this is Week 4, I don’t start counting flower days the moment I flip to 12/12. Instead, I wait for the plants to show true signs of bloom. It’s a small but significant distinction that keeps things accurate and aligned with the plants’ development. 🌱 Defoliation: Timing is Everything! Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! UPDATE GUYS!!!!! So the girls are doing great I got some new genetics also I'll be doing for my next grows and so forth, but yea just watering as necessary, I really really feel that this process is a learning curve for me lol, mainly because I've learned from the past that everything comes with progress trial and error, so I'm learning which I accept so its okay its okay haha but things are progressing and ill stay up to date with this for you guys thanks!!!!

The plants really took off this last week, but we started to notice some other issues. The plants looked a little dark in color after the watering/CalMag, and some of the new growth looks a little droopy. Hoping they bounce back in the next couple days and the CalMag fixes any issues.

Dia 134 y semana 6 de floración,ultimo dia de vida de las plantas. Este año ha sido un poco raro las plantas han crecido como monstruos tuvieron un crecimiento espectacular un tallo muy grande y junto con sus ramas flexibles y muy resistentes. Pero al llegar el engorde de floración no se porque les falto el empujon final para hinchar el cogollo, tiene muy buena pinta , mucha resina y muy fuerte buen olor pero me esperaba mas en la fase final. Cortamos ya que tambien habian orugas y no terminaba de eliminarlas por completo, la semana que viene era entera de lluvias así que decidi cortar un poco mas temprano para poder prevenir cualquier mal mayor, hay mucha gente que le gusta cortar antes de tiempo ya que el efecto es muy diferente, este año probaremos que tal.

11/2: The Starcandy x Gelato and the Starcandy x Strawberry Cheesecake both show signs of N deficiency, so I'm gonna feed tomorrow. 11/3: I fed today and started foliar feeding with kelp and fish emulsion every time I check on them. 11/4: They're looking a little better today, but still not 100%... Skunk is kinda mutated..a little wonky looking and slow, but maybe she's just a slow starter.. Strawberry Pie is catching up despite being a few days behind. 11/7: no time to comment

Floración 🌺🌸

Hello Everyone, I didn't felt like updating last week, sorry for that. It was like 25 to 30 degrees celcius for the last time this summer. I enjoyed the beach, bars and restaurants. The plants had a good sunny week as well. Photos for this week are made at the end of week 5 of flowering. 3 of 6 plants are ready for harvest. Somehow it didn't suprised me, the plants stayed small and developed fast. I was thinking about a flowering time of 7 to 8 weeks but those 3 only needed 5. Why? Well they didn't drink that fast anymore, pots stayed heavy for a long time, all the Pistils on the buds started to get brown and the thc was looking milky and the buds are full with it. Gues i will keep flowering the other 3 for 1 or 2 weeks. Lets see how it goes. I did run out of PK 13-14 last week and Green sensation at the end of this week, So a kind of good timing. I will just increase the base nutrients a little bit to compensate it. I know many growers just growing with base nutes and get good harvests as well lol. As long as the 3 remaining plants like to drink their feedings fast and the Pistils stay white, I will keep giving them nutes for another 1-2 weeks. When they start to struggle I will start flushing. 10/28 - First week in the books. I figured now would be as good a time as any to use a sprouted seed tea because the plants seem to be starting to fully stretch. Pistils are coming slowly but surely. Canopy isn't full but it's still the best I've ever done and I'll take that knowledge into future grows. Exciting weeks ahead. Crazy to think in two weeks it will look more like the finished product than the plants you see before you. I'll take them out for a photo shoot this weekend. The amount times I will be taking them out of the tent will be limited from here-on-out. These plants are getting cumbersome.

Big flower and good aroma

July 18: recovering from the hail storm 7 days ago. Will start force flowering tonight. In dark garage at 9 pm, a few seconds of 730 nm far red light, and then out of garage at 7 am. That is 10 h of darkness plus 2 h from the far red light at the right time. That is 12 h of darkness in a ‘26 h’ day. Great trick if you have daily access to your flowering plants. After about two weeks I’ll stop with garage but continue with the bloom booster red light every night at Civil Twilight until harvest. Time is from timeanddate.com for my location. Easy trick but you need to do it at the right time each night. and is based on your latitude. July 19: added second layer to scrog net. Watered with compost tea this morning. July 22: using Plagron Power Buds for first time.

Aujourd'hui, un petit contretemps : une de nos verdoyantes compagnes souffrait d'une carence en azote. Heureusement, avec une intervention rapide et l'apport d'une dose généreuse d'azote et d'autres nutriments essentiels, j'espère avoir rectifié le tir. C'est une période fascinante, car la plante a cessé de grandir verticalement pour concentrer toute son énergie sur le développement de ses fleurs. Je vais continuer à lui fournir méticuleusement les nutriments dont elle a besoin, en veillant à maintenir cet équilibre délicat : assez pour la soutenir, mais pas trop au point de causer des brûlures par excès de nutriments. D'après l'état actuel des choses, je table sur une période complète de 12 semaines. Remarque : feuilles jaunissantes a la 5/6e semaine dûe a une carence d'azote traiter par la moitié de la dose recommandée. Engrais : moitié de la dose recommandée en NPK pour corriger les carences, a vérifier si brûlures.

This grow was so amazing!! The purple punch’s came out super sticky dense nugs, super frosty , an a huge smell of blueberry muffins!
